In the continent of Grandeuse soul wielders are looked on with fear for their potential. Three kingdoms celebrate their time of peace by holding a festival in the country of Renaz. Their leaders were none other than Mirren Barclay of Aurenstrauss, Weiss Rosemeister of Ki'oure and Seiryu Baount of Renaz.
Although the facade of peace is convincing to the average eye, it soon becomes clear that the peace between the three countries is quite fragile. Tension arises when soul-wielders enter the arena and begin battling. Seiryu Baount, King of Renaz takes Aurenstrauss display in the arena as an insult and chooses to round up all soul-wielders. Violence soon erupts as King Rosemeister refuses Baounts orders. King Rosemeister flees, and Barclay leaves with his pride and people intact. Many soul-wielders are taken hostage and for the others a life on the run is the only option as the city bursts into chaos around them.
King Rosemeister regroups back in Ki'oure and launches an offensive to the north on Baount's doorstep. He and his generals devise a plan to burn the woodlands that inhabits half of Renaz. While beyond the mountains, Barclay from Aurenstrauss releases his countries most brutal criminals to lay waste to the remaining population.
It soon is revealed that although the war seems focused on Baount, he has secretly been building a Soul-wielder army. This alone could change the tide of the war and gives Baount an edge that Ki'oure and Aurenstrauss lacks...
Individual SoulWielder arcs:
The son of a great general in Renaz. He was exiled for being a SoulWielder. The reasons remain unclear for him. He was in the Arena during the festival and watched Stonewall cleave through the Ki'oure stands and butcher innocents. He was soon arrested shortly after. After escaping Drake prison he discovered Baount was building a soul-wielder army and had effectively been deceiving him his entire life. He escapes with three other prisoners; Ming who he had encountered in the Arena, Tessa and Eden. After escaping on a large boat, with help from Ming they collide with another ship at sea.
Valen Septimus & Ann Belrose
Valen was the son of a noble family that is greatly in debt. Valen was in the stands when an assassin named Ann made a kill. He investigated shortly after and encountered a fight between Tessa Framil and the Assassin, only to have the assassin captured under King Rosemeister's orders. He fled before the stadium erupted into chaos. He later freed Ann from becoming a prisoner. The two escaped the city together into the woodlands of Renaz, and Valen later discovered his own family had been butchered in the stadium. The forest later burnt down around them and the two made passage on a boat, with Big Mike. They drift to the sea.
Jeremiah 'Stonewall' Knox
Jeremiah, a loyal commander in the Aurenstrauss army. At the festival he initiated and provoked combat in the arena with King Barclay's approval. After defeating his challenger, a barbarian girl named Ming he is exiled by his king. He accepts this gracefully, and begins to massacre Ki'ouran citizens hidden in the stands. He later flees the city, and adopts the persona of 'Big Mike' and obtains a boat. Ever since the massacre, Jeremiah is often plagued by nightmares. When the forest begins to burn down around him, he butchers parents trying to escape on his boat, leaving their children alone.
He comes across two travelers he had seen earlier. Valen and Ann, who he lets on his boat for paying him a fee. The boat takes off. When Jeremiah goes under deck he finds a trail of blood. Before he can investigate their boat collides with another.
Daughter of a well known family in Ki'oure, Tessa takes it upon herself to hunt down the assassin in the stadium. After a brief fight, Ann is arrested by Rosemeister's royal guard. When the stadium erupts into chaos she attempts to flee with her father and King, but ultimately fails and is imprisoned. In the following days Tessa is raped and tortured to prevent her father from invading Renaz.
During her imprisonment, Tessa is saved by the barbarian girl Ming. The two agree to flee together and come across Jackson and Eden. The four flee and escape the prison, only to crash into another boat at sea.
She was in the Arena and faught with Jackson. Their fight was cut short when King Baount issued the other countries an ultimatum. She was exiled by King Barclay, and in her rage she cut down several of Baount's soldiers before fleeing the stadium and the city.
In her despair she and Avery spent a night of passion together. She fled onto Stonewell's boat and watched as the two ships collided.
Avery Graham & Karsten
Shares an unpleasant history with Ann Belrose. He was at the stadium and tried to help Ann when she was in a difficult situation. He later fled with Karsten. Later Avery took advantage of an emotional, yet willing Alexandria. When the forest burnt he fled with Karsten and Alexandria into Jeremiah's ship, without the consent of Jeremiah.
A mysterious girl with a split personality. The darker side of her tries to kill Valen and Ann while sleeping, but flees onto Jeremiah's ship, leaving a trail of blood beneath the deck.
When the chaos erupts in the stadium, Eden loses her father figure Desmond in the violence. She falls into grief, and is imprisoned. Shortly before her prison escape, Eden kills her captor Tamera. She is then rescued by Tessa Framil before soldiers can close in on her. Herself and the three other prisoners flee onto a ship before colliding with another boat.
Ming Li Sung
A young optimistic barbarian girl on a pilgrimage. Ming is the first combatant to answer Jeremiah's beckons in the Arena. After a short battle she becomes unconscious. She later finds herself in prison, where she becomes oblivious to the suffering around her. Ming leads the prison break, strengthening those around her with her perky nature. She re-unites with her sword Sashou, which she uses to slaughter many enemy Renazian prison guards. She escapes with Tessa, Jackson and Eden.
She later becomes the catalyst in which causes the ships to collide.
Events at sea:
After the boats crash the groups converge. It doesn't take long for Jeremiah's identity to be revealed, and his past crimes at the stadium. The groups turn against him, after he swings at an unconscious Elise and Eden. The deck collapses underneath them, and Valen prevents Eden from falling below. It is at this moment Valen discovers that Jeremiah Knox is responsible for the butchering of the Ki'ouran people, and his family. Jackson and Elise with help from Tessa begin to battle Jeremiah.
It doesn't take long for Ming to come aboard the ship and in a fury, the young girl causes so much damage Jeremiah's ship is split in two. Ann misses a sneak attack at Tessa, and in retaliation Tessa knocks her into the sea below. Tessa leaps across the broken ship to snap Ming out of her fury. The two fall into the sea, and Jackson soon fallows. Jeremiah, free from his attackers, retaliates against his opponents and sinks the prison ship. Everyone is now stranded at sea.
Ming comes too, but has lost her sword, Jackson swims under to retrieve it and doesn't resurface. Eden and Elise escape to safety on the new vessel. Valen and Ann escape with Avery and Karsten on a lifeboat. Tessa is struck by a wave and separated from Ming, and Jeremiah swims away.

We have recently completed the first chapter of our Role Play War of the Souls and made the decision to allow new players to join in. The most important thing to know about this RP is that our characters are not actively participating in the main plot, they are merely living through it and their actions play a small part in the whole of the war.
Here is our OOC, I am obligated to inform you that it is filled with wild and mostly inappropriate chatter, if youíre easily offended Iím sorry but we arenít changing. The CS is located in the first post, so feel free to fill it out at your leisure if you decide to join. We hope to see you soon.
