setting: the woods
pulling up in his truck, niko got out only to find that no one had arrived yet. His mom stepped out of the passenger seat and gave him a hug and a kiss. Pulling away from her affection slightly, Niko spoke. "Moomm." He groaned. "just have fun sweeite, im sure your friends will show up soon." 'Friends...' he grunted under his breath. They were hardly friends. The past seemed like so long ago Niko no longer considered these people friends. Nothing wanting to think to hard on the subject, he said his good byes and figured he would adventure far into the woods until he heard people arrive.
(OOC: I'm tired I waiting, so I'm happy to start.)
Sasha looked back as her parents (well, adopted parents technically), and little sister left her there. Her parents had pushed her into this camp, and she had no idea why. She looked down at the bag she had, not many clothes in it really, some books, and writing things. Not much. Why was she here? That was her first question, one she desperately wanted answered. Was she being left here?
That thought made her panic, and she took a few deep breaths. No, of course not. But something was going on here. Sasha looked about, uneasy, at the unfamiliar landscape, at what she supposed could be called camp grounds. There were trees all around, making it appear darker than it actually was. it brought a sense of...freshness about it, of pine and an odd sweetness. Sasha summarised that she was in a wood, somewhere, not that that did her any good. The closest she'd ever come to truly camping was when she was seven, and her class had gone out for the day to some woods. She remember she had slipped in a patch of posion ivy.
Without knowing what else to do, she picked up her pack, and headed inside the camp grounds, glancing about for other people. Surely there had to be others?
Sasha was wearing black jeans, and a red t-shirt, er sneakers crunched sticks, leaves and other foliage as she walked. "Hello?" She called, hating the sound of her voice-it was just a fraction too high, showing she was worried and scared "is anyone here?" Please, let there be, she thought, I think I'd even take an axe wielding murderer just to know I'm not alone. But that was silly. "Hello!" She called, louder this time.
Shortly after a car pulled out of the campgrounds Max and his Dad pulled up in a dark gray pickup. "Ah, this must be it." his father said seeing the other car pull out. "You sure you got all your stuff?" he asked looking towards him but not taking his eyes of the road.
"Yeah, and if I didn't there is nothing we can do now." Max replied. He had kind of mixed feelings about going here. He wasn't mad at his parents for making him go, but he wasn't overly happy to be here.
the truck came to a stop where the other car once was. "Okay, here we are." his father put the car in park and looked out over the grounds. There was already a woman walking around looking quite confused. Max unbuckled he seat-belt and opened his door. "Hey, Maxi... try to have fun." he father said as max got out. "I will dad." he shut the door with a thud, and walked to the bed of the truck and grabbed a large duffel bag and a tent bag. After that he stared into the grounds as his dad drove away.
"Hello." he called to the girl as he walked her way. He looked around to see if anyone else was there, but saw nobody there. I really hope this is the right place. he stopped a short distance from her and dropped his bags in a small clear spot big enough for him to make camp. Then he looked back to the girl. "Are we the only ones here?"
Sasha turned, startled at another voice, but thrilled she wasn't alone. "Oh! You scared me!" She said, giving a shaky laugh, she took a few breaths, glancing about "it seems like it" she said, "I thought my family was playing a joke on me, but I guess not..." She trailed off, looking the way the car had gone.
She sighed, "I'm Sasha, by the way" she said, dropping her pack like the boy had done. "Do you know why we are here?" She didn't go any closer to the boy, she might be thrilled to not be alone, but she knew just because someone looked okay, didn't mean they were. She wasn't stupid.
Hearing two people's voice enter the forest, Niko headed back to the road to investigate. Once yelled Hello and the other arrived soon after that. He heard them chat for a moment until one asked why there were there. "You dont know?" He asked sounding a tad bit sarcastic. "Its cause our parents think we should all be friends again like we were in preschool." Niko answered. "Im Niko by the way. Im probably much different that how I was in preschool." He smiled. 'These people might just be alright...' "So what are your names?" He asked sticking his hand out for either of them to shake.
Max listened to the girl as he began getting out the contents of his tent bag consisting of a tent, some polls and a fold out stool. When she introduced her self as Sasha it sparked a memory, but not enough to remember her. he stood up and was about to introduce himself when a voice came from off to the left and looked to see who it was. "You dont know? Its cause our parents think we should all be friends again like we were in preschool." Max wasn't sure who this guy was but from his tone he could tell that he may not care to know. As he introduced himself he had the same feeling as before. "I am Maximus, but my friends call me Max." He went back to setting up his tent so he wouldn't have to fight for this spot.
Sasha frowned, "I don't think I went to preschool...but then, I was four I guess..." She still frowned, but whenever she tried to remember much beyond being adopted out, she would start to get freaked. She would hear the tires squeal, the crash, the shattering of glass and screams. She shook her head, trying to clear it, "I'm Sasha" she said uneasily.
She looked at her gear, having absolutely no idea how to set it up. She watched Maximas set up his tent, and would then try setting herself up.
Izanami dropped two large pink suitcases out of a rather tall tree, she followed right after them. Easing down the tree like she had practiced years before herself. She glanced at the other three people. The girl identifying them with ruby colored eyes full of arrogance. She moved her bags swiftly positioning them into a seat. Dusting her nice dress off she sat down and opened her book to where she left off.
This young girl had been there for hours but had not spoken a word. She felt as if she had no real reason to speak to them, even if she did she wouldn't know what to say. Nami was a withdrawn kind of person anyway. She continued to concentrate on her book in silence.
"its nice to meet you max, sasha." he nodded to both of them. Watching as max worked with the various parts of his tent, he figured what a better way to break thr ice than lend a helping hand? Nikondid just that. "hey max, can i give ya a hand with your tent?
Even though niko looked rough and tough on the outside he could easily be a kind hearted gent when his head wasnt stuck so far up his ass. Or when his ego is too big to see past. Figuring if he was forced to spend a few weeks with these people he better make the best of it. That ment finding someone who wont think you're a freak of nature and will actually throw and throw a couple words back your way now and again.
"It's nice to meet you too, Niko." Max said as he put the last poll through the guiders in his tent. "As much as I appreciate the offer im actually almost done, but it looks like Sasha could use a hand." Max said motioning to Sasha who was watching quite intently as Max was putting his 3 person tent together. He really didn't need the help he had put the thing together so many times that he could practically set it up blind. Also he could tell Sasha had zero clues on what to do.
As Maximus was driving in the stakes he noticed another girl sitting beneath a tree no far away, but made no indication that he had seen her. It wasn't long after Niko had asked to assist him that he had his tent up. Max tossed all of his stuff in and set up his stool before going over to the other girl and said. "Hey there, my name's Maximus. Can I help you set up your camp?" His voice was comforting and warm, with a power that seemed to make all thing silent. This tone was one he often used to talk to people as he helped them.
