(I'll get pics of them before tonight ends)
Sarah had to get the medical supplies for her people. They were running very low, and with the dropping temperatures, more and more people were starting to get sick. And, the place that had the most medical supplies was indeed the castle surprisingly. One would think the medical buildings would have more, but in fact, they stock piled it at the castle in case of one of the Royals growing ill and needing immediate attention. The only problem was, could she find it? The normal person sent to steal it was ill himself, and so she had to go by his poorly given instructions to get to the right room, and now she was lost. But, then again, what more could she expect from someone so sick they were hallucinating? Not much, that was for sure.
She moved through the empty tunnels the humans had dug under the castle and braced with beams, trying to mentally picture where she was. But she wasn't used to these tunnels. Her normal job was to get food from the stores that lined the market area, not try to sneak into the right room of the alien's castle. Sighing, she brushed her dust coated brown hair from her dirt smudged face, bright green eyes, looking around cautiously. Above her all through the tunnels were secret trap doors marked in certain ways. These had been implanted into the tunnels from the days when humans had been servants and slaves to the aliens. It was very surprising the aliens hadn't found them yet. Oh well, their loss if they were that stupid. Right now, she just had to figure out which trap door was the one to the medical storage room. He had said something about squares and circles. Everything else had been slurred. The question was, did he mean the door having the square inside the circle, or the door with the circle inside of the square?
It was a fifty, fifty chance. Maybe she would get lucky. Walking about a tenth of a mile more down into the tunnels, she choose the door with the square inside of the circle. Slowly, she pushed the door up, but wouldn't;t really see anything from where she was. She had to pull herself up out of the tunnels and into the room to really tell anything. So, that was what she did. She was relieved to find the room empty, but frowned at the sight of this being the wrong room. This was some sort of bedroom. Cursing quietly under her breath, she moved back a few steps, only for something horrifying to happen. The calf of her leg bued the trap door, making it slam close. She turned and frantically her fingers pried at the floor. But she knew the door wouldn't come up. It was a safety measure. The door could open up form the tunnels, but the aliens couldn't open them up from their side.
She was in a nervous panic now. She didn't know this area. She knew nothing about the castle. And here she was stuck in it with no way out. And things got worse when she heard voices heading toward the bedroom she was standing in. Quickly, she looked about, but saw no where to hide. She was caught.
(Okay, I'll post as Silander in the next post. My idea is Sarah gets captured by the guards after the prince catches her in his room(he could either alert them or they could be with him) and your girl might be sent to figure out what is taking her so long to get back to the human hideout and somehow she and Silander see each other again.)
