Dark Souls and the “Shield on back” discussion.
So I’ve been playing Dark Souls recently, and decided that I wanted to beat the game before I end up getting GTA V. I’ve always gone for the sword and shield (With a bow and talisman for healing on the side), and never really tried using some of the other more interesting weapons. I went out to try some of these out, and found something interesting when using the halberd. If you have a shield in one hand and a weapon in the other, duel wielding the weapon puts your shield on your back. Not only did I notice that it looks really cool, but I ended up asking myself if having the shield on your back would provide stat bonuses. From any other game I would have been able to disregard the discussion, but Dark Souls is different in that it’s something that I could see actually being in the game. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t, but do you guys think that would be an interesting feature for Dark Souls II? An overall defense boost wouldn’t be very realistic, but I could see something like reduced damage from backstabs and attacks on the back area.
