Sword Art Online: After the Seed
After rescuing Yuuki Asuna from ALFheim Online, Kirigaya Kazuto (more commonly known to the gaming community as Kiriko) is given a seed. This seed can create a virtual world for a Virtual MMO. One of the first creations was a replica of the United States that had all non-livestock animals turned into monsters. A tower is now in the exact central of the States named only as "World's End Tower". Not much is known and nobody can get close enough to it. New players spawn on either coast of the States and the ultimate goal is to reach the top of the World's End Tower; hovever, this has yet to be achieved in the three years past its release.
Your starting location is based on your weapon type, as follows-
Northeastern US: Sword and Sheild users. Stronger players have large greatshields with swords to match. Not much mobility, but can take and block many hits. Shields can be used to bash opponents who refuse to stay still or those who lock swords with this player.
Southeastern US: Sword and Pistol users. These pistols are weak, especially against shields and maneuverabilty, but is great for picking off foes at a distance or distracting foes with chip damage. The short sword is to compensate for the point-blank accuracy penalty.
Northwestern US: Sword and Speed users. Light one-handed swords are the only weapons these speedy slashers need. These single-wielders try to out-maneuver the opponent. Works well with getting around shields.
Southwestern US: Sword and Another Sword users. Dual-wielders, though these swords are of medium weight, the wielders have little dificulty getting around. These players can keep a shield user in place and out-maneuver a gunshot, but have difficulty keeping up with single-wielders.
1. Follow forum rules.
2. Keep it PG-13. If you want physical romance, make it obvious that it's about to happen, fade out in some manner, and move it to PM if you're that adamant about going through it. Blood is virtually nonexistant in cannon, but the "blood particles" dissipate on contact with anything, but it can't spew everywhere with one cut (unless you're that wimpy). Swearing is ok in moderation. If your character is supposed to be a heavy curser, then make up swear words.
3. No monsters drop anything you can directly use. Just items that can be sold or used in crafting. Be reasonable about the drops, don't just kill 3 pixies and go craft Excalibur.
1. In the game this takes place in, you can duel without killing each other (system won't allow death in a duel).
2. There is a party system, so that'd be good to use when travelling together. The hud has the health of everyone in the party in the upper-left, a crystal over all player characters in the game with either green (good), orange (criminal; the darker means the more/more severe the crime(s) committed), or red (player-killer).
3. You can make custom weapons. The weapon doesn't level with you, so eventually you may need a new one to deal decent damage.
(No cannon characters, please)
Avatar Name: (Basically the name of your character's in-game avatar)
Gender: (male? female?)
Age: (how old? I'll assume the game is rated for children of 13+)
Starting Level: (1-100 is the physical leveling system, but you need to justify anything higher than 10 in your background. You won't need to keep track of your level after we start.)
Appearance (Character and Avatar): (NO PICS. Ok, you can use them for referance, but the picutre can't be the only thing for appearance)
Weapon type: (you can add a picture of your weapon(s) here)
Fighting style: (tell me how you intend to fight or your priority in combat)
(Please have no more than 3 Fighting Stances and no more than 5 Skills)
Fighting stance(s): (Adds marginal bonuses to specific stats, but just as much decreases another; you don't have to have any)
Skills: (Reasonable skills that can turn the tide of battle. Each skill needs a draw back, like a long charge, cooldown period/time when the player can only move, the cost of an item, or deprivation of something)
Background: (just a paragraph on how you got to where you are.)
Other: (Suggestions? Questions?)
Name: Ceceli "Cece" Garron
Avatar Name: MaggieTheSureShot
Starting Level: 5
Appearance (Character and Avatar): In contrast to Ceceli's shoulder-length messy dull-blond hair, Maggie has straight kept black hair that goes halfway down her back. Ceceli shares her eye color of bright blue and her fair skin color with her avatar. Both stand about 5'8" with Maggie wearing more "extravagant" leather armor she got from her first "how to play" mission.
Weapon type: Sword and Pistol. Maggie carries a pistol bought from the market that has about the capacity to kill as a bee's stinger, but it worked with her thieve's knife she was given that does little more. The true power of this fighting style is in the combination of the two.
Fighting style: Maggie tends to use her pistol to distract a shielded enemy so others can attack from behind. She usually goes into Power stance if she's about to be meleed. In short, Maggie does great support, but isn't too much of a fighter, though her attitude would say otherwise.
Fighting stance(s): (Each stance takes 3 seconds to fully get into, and takes 5 seconds after leaving a stance to start getting into the next)
= Power Stance- Increases power of attacks, but Maggie can't move in this stance. If she moves her position (feet moving) without exiting the stance, she gets extremely slow.
= SureShot Stance- Greatly increases accuracy at the cost of defense. Maggie cannot reduce the amount of damage taken, not even using her armor's defense, while in this stance.
= PointBlank Stance- Maggie sheathes her sword during this stance and holds her gun with two hands. No penalty for point-blank shot. It actually increases damage done at point blank, but cannot use melee attacks except for the Pistolwhip skill while in this stance.
= Pistolwhip- Melee attack with the butt of the pistol. Takes 3 seconds to turn the gun around and attack. No miss, but can be interrupted.
= Headshot- 2x damage with pistol with garunteed hit. It takes 10 seconds to lock on and fire, and nothing can get in the line of sight during that 10 seconds or the skill deactivates.
= Chuck- Throws the knife to attack. The knife returns to Maggie unless it sticks in a person. As soon as it touches non-player surface, it returns.
Background: Ceceli heard about the SAO (Sword Art Online) virtual reality MMO and wanted to play, but soon heard of it being called the death game. People dying in real life from dying in a video game? Cece wanted none of that. Once people were freed, she started playing an MMO called "BladeCraft Online" which sounded like a cheap ripoff of SAO, but the game being beaten/destroyed by the hero Kiriko, it seemed like a good enough alternative. Cece's been playing for 3 weeks now (on the occasion) and is now getting hooked on it. Now that it's summer, she has more time to devote to BCO.
So... Who wants to clear the Tower???
