Kyousou Giga Episode 1
To my great surprise, Kyousou Giga is not just a series of short-length web videos, but a full-on series itself.
I had the pleasure of watching episode 1 this evening, and I must say, it is one the most heartwarming anime I've seen in a long while, not to mention the stunning animation style. If you want to feel good tonight, watch it.
Set in "Kyoto" (written in a way that reads "Mirror City"), it tells the story of a company of individuals living in a "drawn" city where nothing breaks, no one dies, and no one is born. Created by a monk and his wife, it is eventually left to his children to care for after they leave due to divine circumstances.
The first episode is a sort of prologue, and from what I've gathered from the web-series side of it, Kyousou Giga will be characterized by a similarly silly and over-the-top setting like in Kill la Kill, though more subdued.
