Pokemon Diversity 2
A new journey awaits.
The neighboring region of it's sister Aquias -- Epica is far more expansive and populated, because of its incredible cities and historical towns. Tourists from all over the pokemon world flock to Epica to explore the region and to learn about the unexplained wonders and mysterious pokemon that inhabit the lands. Cities and towns such as Mermadelle, Cloudsloom, and Numera are the many marvels that Epica has to offer! The Epica region is also the perfect place for young pokemon trainers to start their very own pokemon journey, because there are six gym badges that can be pursued. In addition, trainers who have acquired all six badges will be elgible to partake in the Epica League Championship that takes place at the awe inspiring Cloudsloom city upon the clouds! After the Epica League, trainers are not done yet if they wish to become a pokemon master in Epica - Two additional special gyms are required before taking on the Legendary Brotherhood. Any trainer who can defeat the Brotherhood is deemed a Master of Epica.
An expansive historical town, in the Epica region, that honors all of the previous and former Pokemon Masters in the Pokemon World. History and Chronology are two words that describe Numera town down to a t. Statues and museums are seen everywhere around town, and the treasure of Numera is it's life like statue in honor of the great pokemon master Ash Ketchum from Pallet town. Pokemon trainers from all around gather here to see Professor Atlas, so that they can get there first pokemon partner or start fresh on their very own pokemon journeys through Epica. Numera town is known as the largest starter town in all of the pokemon regions. Gambit town, in Aquias, could fit three times within Numera town's expanse. Numera town also has it's own mini gym with a gym badge that is required to allow trainers to collect future badges.
Which starter will YOU choose?
Electric Grass Stand
Water Grass Stand
Fire Water Stand
Numera Gym Leader -- ???Professor Atlas
The head professor in the Epica region - For the head professor he is quite lazy and yawns often. However, he isn't careless and will bend over backwards for any pokemon trainer that needs his assistance. Not only is he a pokemon professor, but he is also the gym leader of Numera town's Normal Gym. The gym is miniature in size compared to the other gyms in Epica, but it is required in order to pursue other gyms.
A stormy town where it never ceases to rain and where lightning and thunder are never absent. A thriving steel distribution company resides here even tho it is the unsafest location for metal to be present. All of the steel production takes place in a large manufacturing warehouse behind the grand Lightning Strike Bridge. The bridge is almost completed and is only made possible with the help of the Thunder Steel gym leader, Dr. Cloudburst. (who is also the owner of the steel company) He and his steel/electric pokemon are building the bridge in order to stop the dangerous lightning strikes that occur far too often in the Thunderlight village. He also has another hidden agenda as to why he is truly building the bridge. Lightning Strike Bridge connects the Thunder village safely (with the help of specially crafted, steel lightning rods) to Mermadelle city.
Thunderlight Gym Leader -- Dr. Cloudburst:
Thunderlight village's whacky meteorolgist and owner of Epica Steel, an oddly successful steel production company. He is the Gym leader of the Thunder Steel Gym and also the bridge builder of Lightning Strike Bridge. His most precious pride and joy is his own invention called the Weather Tuner which allows him to manipulate the weather in any given place or time.
An immense tropical paradise city and home of the Water Grass gym! Mermadelle city is the largest to date city in the pokemon world. It is located right near the Epica Ocean and the cities base floats upon the water like one gigantic, extremely safe raft. The landscaping businesses are apparent here - the whole city is clean cut and litter free. Unique tropical trees and plants border the towering buildings and beach houses. To the side of the city is a sky high mountain that pours down triplet, crytal clear waterfalls into a spring on the beach. Cut into the base of the mountain is a subway station that leads underwater to the Water Grass gym. Across the beach is Jungle Tunnel, an entangled tropical tree forest that naturally forms a long curvey tunnel to Inseta town.
Mermadelle Gym Leader -- Top model Nix:
The popular and well known male top model of Mermadelle city and Gym leader of the Water Grass gym. Some say he is the most beautiful person in Epica tho he maintains his masculine aura. Nix owns his own modeling agency and only hires the best of the best. Many would assume him to be narcissitic, but he is mostly modest to all and friendly to challengers. He has his own billboard in Mermadelle where he advertises his modeling career.
A buzzing bug pokemon lover colony, straight out of Jungle Tunnel! PokeBlood River splits through the middle of the insect inspired town. The river was given it's name, because of it's blood colored water. Despite the rivers red color, the water is actually purer and healthier than anyother kind of water around. The houses within Inseta town line down on each side of the river and are hive like in appearance. Residents of Inseta, along with their bug and fighting type pokemon, can be seen meditating everyday near the riverside. On the far end of town, dangling from two giant pecha berry trees, is a huge man made bee hive and inside is the Bug Fighting Gym.
Inseta Gym Leader -- Lt. Abielle:
The graceful, untouchable officer of the Bug Fighting gym in Inseta town. Her motto is zen and meditation and she lives by it everyday. You will find her meditating with her pokemon with the rest of the townspeople near PokeBlood river. She supports the idea that bug pokemon reinforce the frequencies of zen vibrations which enable people and pokemon alike to excel in strength in all aspects. Abielle is very calm natured and she rarely ever loses her cool in stressful or hectic situations.
Also known as Epica's shadow, is a village where sun light never touches. It is highly unusual, because the sun hits everywhere else around the village except the village itself. Almost like an enormous invisible mass in the sky hangs over the village. No one has discovered a logical reason as to why the shadow covers the village, and some believe it is influenced by a legendary pokemon. Most villagers believe that Shadowvail village is under some curse and they can never leave, because it is inevitably bad luck. As expected the town is lit up with torches and asian style lanterns all around. The houses are asian inspired as well with chinese sliding doors. The Psychic Dark gym lies near an abandoned insane asylum.. Rumor has it that a feral psychotic ex pokemon trainer still lives deep inside the creepy asylum. The gym looks like a mental hospital as well, but more modern with a black sleek frame. Behind the abandoned asylum is a dark mountain that appears cracked in two. Within the mountains crevice is the entrance to the Epica mines which leads to Inferno town.
Shadowvail Gym Leader -- Crimson & Blair
The "Psycho Siblings of Shadowvail", a title given to them by the villagers and challengers who have ever came in contact with them. Not much is known about the brother and sister, because they are rarely ever seen unless challenged at the Psychic Dark gym. All that is known is that they are intensely unsettling and a lot of challengers are too afraid to step foot inside the gym. Some villagers think that the gym leaders were once patients at the abandoned insane asylum who had escaped before the facility had been relocated.
Just outside of the Epica mines is a town that was built on magma rock and surrounded by twin volcanos on either side. The only escape is Inferno bay and only S.S. Hope can withstand the unbearablely scorching temperatures of the water and sail safely back out to sea toward Lovewood town. Sweating should be expected when entering into this town and very few people choose to live in such a place. The Fire Dragon gym is built half way up the second volcano where it's sure to be extra toasty inside. Fire and dragon pokemon of all sorts live here and it is quite normal to see a charizard or two soaring the skies.
Inferno Gym Leader -- Drago
A stubborn, thrill seeking Gym leader of the Dragon Fire gym in Inferno town who lives for taking risks. His favorite place to hang out is near either of the twin volcanoes that surround the town. "Daredevil Drago" they call him and he even battles his challengers on a dangling arena that hangs above the crater of the second volcano. Drago's personality is outgoing and adventurous, yet on the downside he is a bit of a boaster.
A light hearted peaceful aura envelopes the town of Lovewood. It is the most friendly and homey town in Epica with hot springs and spas everywhere you look. Comfort food diners are just around every corner and the people here are even nice enough to invite you to have home cooked meals in their own home. Lovewood is known for their pokemon parks and successful loving daycares. The weather is always just right and the people are always smiling. In the center of Lovewood town is the landing post for the Joyflight ferri. The Joyflight ferri is a flying ship operated by the host of the Epica League. The ferri's destination is Cloudsloom City where the Epica League Championship takes place.
A city upon white fluffy clouds -- But not just any clouds, they are known as legendary clouds that the citizens of Cloudsloom believe cradled Arceus himself. The city is still quite young, because it was only recently discovered with the help of Professor Atlas. Therefore, the city itself is still in the process of being built. The buildings that are built are held up by white pillars and are painted to resemble a pokemon heaven. Because of it's marvelous existence, Cloudsloom holds the Epica League Championship. The Epica league is hosted at a heavenly designed coliseum.
Cloudsloom Gym Leader -- ???
Hidden within Epica's vast existence is the infamous PokeWitch. A vengeful ex pokemon Gym leader who discovered a way using legendary power to reverse and manipulate Zorua's magic and transform humans into pokemon slaves. She was once known as Annika the great and mystical Gym leader of the Fairy Ghost Gym in Cloudsloom, but the gym was soon replaced. City workers did not feel that ghost type pokemon represented the heavenly city, so they offered her to change it to Fairy and Flying. This upset Annika, because she considered her ghost pokemon to be her children and she didn't feel it was right to rid them from the city. After refusing, Annika was told to leave Cloudsloom or her Gym leader title would be revoked. This angered Annika, because Cloudsloom was her hometown and she did not wish to leave her city or switch out any of her dear ghost pokemon. When she still did not cooperate, Officer Jenny was forced to take away Annika's ghost pokemon and arrest her. When everything was settled and Annika unwillingly agreed to leave Cloudsloom, her ghost pokemon had been stolen and released to the wild somewhere far away by the spiteful City workers who didn't like how she wouldn't listen. This ripped Annika's heart in two and she had to leave her home in shock and hurt; never having proof that it was the City workers doing. Days passed and when she finally realized that it was all real, and that all of her ghost pokemon, whom she loved very much, were no where to be found... she completely snapped. She convinced herself that she hated everyone and that no one should be happy as long as she is near. She hid herself far away in the hills of Epica where an unknown legendary pokemon found her and fed off of her sorrow and rage. The parasitic legendary attached itself to Annika and fed off of her soul - in return giving her the power to manipulate and reverse all of the pokemon elements.
