The Art of Love (private)
Kiyoshi has always been her home. The island's beauty welcoming her every morning and the moonlight's glow sending her into peaceful dreams; Dahani, the only daughter of an old married couple, loved living on Kiyoshi. A retired warrior of the island was her mother and a proud Earth Kingdom general her father, Dahani has always happily embraced her heritage. Born of Kiyoshi warriors and raised within the Earth Kingdom's culture, she truly belonged here. Dahani currently teaches young benders of Earth at the community school. A trained bender of Earth, herself. Dahani knows the ancient traditions of her homeland, including the female fighting style. However, unlike the conventional fans, Dahani uses a bow and arrow crafted by her grandmother's hand. The woman for whom she is named after.
The addressed woman smiled, turning her attention to the doorway of her small house. Her father stood in the doorway, his arm raised and holding up the curtain of leaves that served as her door. "Are you ready to begin?"
Today was a big day. Dahani tightened the straps of her black robes, the dark green sash wrapped around her waist to accent the hourglass figure of her body. Her wavy, brown, hair was twisted into an elegant bun. She sighed, grabbing some flowers from her backyard and then joined her father at the doorway. Together they walked in unsion towards the ocean's shore. Once there, both of them paid their respects to the dark brown casket floating on the water's surface. A beautiful casket with a name engraved on the side.
Dahaniso Motoko, her grandmother's characters formed the name.
This was her first funeral.
