A large squad is sent into the middle of the Ring, believing to be fighting in the war. However, upon their arrival, they are separated into teams and forced to fight in a "training simulation", described as a new war. However, each soldier/commander has a certain "quirk" about them that allows for the most dysfunctional "war" ever. Of All Time.
So basically, this is an RP based off of the hit Machinima series "Red vs Blue". Basically, the RP would be a much more relaxed and fun story of around 6 soldiers just trying to figure out what to do in an extremely pointless war, much like the show. However, that's not all that's going on. There will be drama, mischief, pranks, disrespecting of command, robotic malfunctions, and a crap-ton more of stuff that will bring the soldiers into scenario's they need to get out of, while at the same time trying to defeat the other team. Like any good Halo RP, there will be action and adventure, but that can all come at a non-rushed level and everything can just be calm for a while.
Still though, the RP would require some storytelling/plot-guiding features from the characters (such as situations, horrible plans, or even just dialogue about why the hell the group is standing in the middle of a canyon instead of being at the base where there's air conditioning). Its a bit of a free-form RP, but mostly just a casual and fun mix of humour, action, and a good sense of storytelling.
The leader of the squad, the single Sergeant carries short range weapons such as a Shotgun. They also deal with commanding the other officers and issue most of the orders
There is typically only one Corporal per squad, being the Sergeant's second in command. The Corporal acts as a strategic adviser to the Sergeant and specializes in medium range weaponry (DMR, Assault Rifle, etc.), but are usually more keen to plan the fight than actually participate.
On the same level as a Specialist, Doctor's have access to short ranged laser-based weapons. However, they are able to fully heal any soldier that is wounded, injured, or relatively near death (but there are obvious restrictions to what they can and can't heal).
Specialists are the next rank up from Private, and they specialize (as the name implies) in one area, which includes: Marksmanship (Sniper Rifles), Heavy Weapons (RPGs, turrets, grenade launchers, etc.), Demolitions (explosives, both handheld (thrown) and placed) and Mechanics (Spartan Laser, vehicles).
Privates are the lowest rank of soldier, with no specific skills in any one area, but they can use any weapon or vehicle. Typically 2 per squad, but more if required.
Name: (include title. Sergeant, Corporal, Specialist, Doctor, or Private). Gender: Height: Preferred Weapon(s): (Only allowed 2 weapons. If you include only one weapon, your alt. will be a Pistol. You're also only allowed UNSC weapons to start with) Image of Character: (feel free to include an image of them out of their armour if you want to. Use the links provided by Driving Park to create your armour) Image of Emblem: (again, use the link provided by Driving Park) Bio (Short Description, a paragraph or two, four at most):[/COLOR]
All right, here's a more detailed idea of what the armor choices will be like.
Armor color choices will be first come, first serve (as we don't want duplicate armor colors).
You have basically three options to choose your armor colors and style.
Option 2) Download this: http://veegie.com/Vanity/ It's a Halo Reach armor generator, so if you want to get more in-depth with your armor design than the simple Halo 3 generator you can choose to do so, but you do have to download it.
Option 3) Upload your actual Halo 4 armor set like Argetlam350 did if you want to use it and have access to it.
In addition to your suit colour, you must also post your dialogue in the same colour as your suit. For example, my CS is done in the same colour as my character's suit. THIS IS REQUIRED OF ALL MEMBERS!!

~~ My character ~~
Name: "Private" Marcus Tiberius Robertson Gender: Male Height: 5'6 Team Alignment: Blue Preferred Weapon(s):
Bio (Short Description, a paragraph or two, four at most): Marcus was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. He lived a pretty normal life and nothing special really happened to him or his family. However, when he turned 14, he applied to become a UNSC Soldier and began training the following year. He was the 3rd best in his class and managed to get through basic training before he was selected for a special group of soldiers who would be fighting against a team known as the "Reds", who had decided to split from the UNSC and were labeled rebels and terrorists. Marcus was paired up with a team of 3 others and they were instantly shipped off to the last known outpost of the Reds. However, upon his arrival to the base where the Reds were located, he realized that there were only 3 of them and figured that the job of destroying their threat would be simple... That was two years ago, and to this day, the Reds haven't done anything violent or even relatively evil towards the UNSC. Meanwhile, Marcus is still waiting for the war to begin, but he has to find ways to pass the time until it does.
In addition to this, Marcus is probably the only person at the base who isn't totally wrong for the military, but his aim is described as "nearly total-shite" by everybody he knows. While he's normally a calm and reasonable guy (probably the most laid back in all of Blue base), he also has a bit of a temper and can blow up on people when he is irritated or annoyed beyond belief. He may not be leadership material, but since the Blue's last commander died in a freak accident (if you call a plasma grenade implanted in the toilet as a prank by his soldiers), he sort of assumes command over the others. Think of him as a mix of Church, Tucker, and a bit of Doc.
"Listen, being short just means it's easier for me to punch you in the balls..."
Perkins wanted nothing more than to be a good soldier and do her part for the war effort. Fate on the other hand, seemed intent on raining on her parade every step of the way. She grew up on a small colony with a relatively high gravitation field, resulting in her having a rather short, but solid build compared to most other soldiers in her unit. Perkins tried not to let her size impede her advancement in the military, but sadly it wound up making her buttend of a lot of jokes, and that did not mix well with her rather volatile and violent temper. After several years, a handful of courtmartials, and numerous promotions and demotions, Perkins thought she may have finally got her career in order long enough to secure a decent posting.
And then she wound up breaking her commander's jaw with a right hook. In her defense, the guy was a sexist jerk, but he was still her superior officer. Rather than risk another courtmartial that would reveal said jerkish behavior, the aforementioned commander simply had Perkins transferred elsewhere and put in command of a squad of troopers in a backwater posting with pretty much no chance of career advancement. In other words, her career was just put out to pasture...and she's not too happy about it.
In fact, there's a lot of things she's not happy about and she doesn't hesitate to espouse her frustrations on those around. Between near-incompetent soldiers, a useless posting, a command structure that seems intent on denying her every whim, and the fact that she had just been saddled with PINK ARMOUR, she's a simmering cauldron of fury at the moment.
Get past the armour and the chip on her shoulder the size of a crater, Perkins isn't exactly a horrible person. The problem she's just stopped caring about the military around her...she is extremely pessimistic about her life, and is just looking for some way to escape the prison that she is now in. She also has a bad habit of forgetting things - names, places, important mission objectives, her general location. Seriously, the girl will get lost in a straight hallway...
Name: Corporal Alex March
Preferred Weapon(s): Sniper rifle and Katana
Image of Character: http://halo.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/P...15&p7=19&p8=18
Image of Emblem: https://emblems.svc.halowaypoint.com...hield?size=128
Bio: Corporal March grew up within the force basically since her both of her parents were in the army. Her path was basically to follow their footsteps into joining the army and fighting the good fight like everyone says. Her freakishly tall size of course put others off a little, especially ever since she took melee training and ran at them with a large sword. Training in sniping and melee skills, she smoothly worked up her way up to joining the blue squad. However, talented in her skills, she often is found not doing too much to assist in situations. Often lazy and even finding her own teammates running away in utter terror amusing. Perhaps sadistic, she isn't usually the one joining the fight, finding it too pointless to be worth her time. Still, she will occasionally do what her Sergeant asks just so she can get them off her back before watching the continued mayhem before her. The only time she does seem to actually get involved if she is royally pissed off and ready to pound the lights out of someone.
Despite that, she does have a soft side, its just not usually shown. She likes animals, machines and is usually found a bit more easy going when dealing with a girl. Most of the time. And she loves her two weapons and will beat anyone who touches them.
Chocolate also seems to be a favorite. Be warned... the Corporal tends to.. get a bit into a violent rage if someone touches her chocolate. As in psycho bonkers rage.
Her passed missions and reason she was transfered to Valhalla is classified.
@theihenry, you're accepted!!
Heh. "What the hell? It bounces? Who the hell designs a gun that bounces? This is literally the worst gun ever." Couldn't be more spot on with the fuel rod cannon.
I think I'm going to join this, the other roleplay I'm in is rather inactive >>
Image of Character: Well I would like to use the Halo Reach armor creator but can't get it to work.
Actual looks: http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6027a5bf.png
Image of Emblem: https://emblems.svc.halowaypoint.com...ofire?size=128
Bio: He was born in the lovely state of Montana. He was a normal kid until he got his first car and discovered his passion for not only driving but also getting down to the nuts and bolts of the vehicles themselves. He took apart his first car and built it up again within a year, even making it better then it was before. He also got some kicks out of illegal street racing, and only by luck was he never caught.
When he was of age he applied to become a UNSC soldier. After being accepted, he excelled in most classes involving vehicles. He found them easier to work with then those that he was teamed up with in classes, usually smacking someone upside the head with a spare part or tool if they did something stupid to any of his little vehicle projects in the course. After completion of his training he was sent off to a base with a few others, the last location of what was called blue base. That had been two years ago, and it has been long two years for this vehicle specialist who has taken one to many laps around the small area that is considered blue zone.
Despite his passion for vehicles, he can be a rather calm and cool headed person. Most of the time he is laid back and can have a sense of humor, taking the job of the team as a joke since nothing has happened in so long of time. When asked how to solve a problem though most of the time he'll answer by running it over with a vehicle of some kind, if that doesn't work well there's always bullets and explosions.
"What is that? A rifle? A knife? Knifle?"
(For those that don't know, I'm co-GMing this RP with Sora.)
Nice theihenry, Andy (my character) could use a Sergeant for a little order. He works better when he has someone giving him orders. However, he's fun loving and a bit lazy so that could cause some nice Sarge-Grif like interactions. You also even out the teams. Also, I was planning on using the Light Salmon color for my character's dialogue, but I'll change it to Orange because it matches your character better. (My character uses Coral armor with Peach accents.) Alternatively, I could stick with the Light Salmon and you could use Violet. I'll leave it up to you.
For reference, pasted from the other thread:
Name: Specialist (Explosive Firearms focus) Andy Santana
Preferred Weapon(s): UNSC M41 rocket launcher, UNSC M319 Individual Grenade Launcher. Covets the Covenant fuel rod cannon, and is more than a little interested in the Covenant Carbine as well...even though it doesn't explode things.
Description: Andy Santana is a tallish man of average build with extraordinary upper body strength that allows him to wield the heaviest weapons. This comes in handy because he lives to blow things up with high-powered projectiles. Having haggled his way into being shipped off to duty with both a rocket launcher AND a grenade launcher, he brandishes his explosives well, despite the fact that he has a 1980s G.I. Joe level of accuracy. In a firefight or even a 1 on 1 duel, he will hit literally everything other than his intended target...except, of course, when the plot dictates that he miraculously lands one of his explosive projectiles on his target. When he is not firing off rounds into the canyon walls he's making sarcastic remarks to his teammates whenever he can, and is generally a carefree, high on life type of guy. Combine Grif, Willy from "Spriggs" and a little bit of Tucker and you get Andy Santana.
