Welcome to the Machine
Whatever you did, it must have been horrible, disgusting, sickening... Just the worst criminals in the world where sent to this place.
The Machine is a high security prison, but weirdly enough the only guards that can be seen are the ones at the entrance door. And the only reason they are there is to stop anyone from entering, because that door never opens from the inside.
Inside you have access to electricity and water, and you'll get food once a day. You are free to roam and do whatever you want, because they know you'll never, ever get out of this place.
The Machine is a green building, where everything inside seems like a mix of mechanic with biological materials. You can never tell if the place is made of metal or flesh. And the green goo that covers the walls and floor doesn't help either. The worst thing is the eyes. They appear everywhere looking at you, observing you. And sometimes you can hear a snicker from afar. Or the sound of steel hitting the walls. The Machine is horror indeed, and you're left there alone to survive.

This is all you need to know about The Machine before you start. It's not everything though, as the place is full of secrets, and a couple characters, some that will help you and some that won't. It's your mission to, with the rest of the prisoners, live and explore the place while you try to survive the best you can.
This canon atmosphere is heavily influenced by Silent Hill, Alien and A New Machine Part 1 & 2, the last two being songs by Pink Floyd. If you know the works you may know more or less what to expect.
You find yourself in a prison bus, going into your destination, sadly, there's no windshields or anything and the only source of light is a small lamp in the ceiling of the bus. Near you are all the prisoners that will join you. As far as you heard, you're going to be the first to test a new kind of prison, designed for people who were sentenced to life in prison. They've called it The Machine, but there's no news of it or anything, and they didn't even let you talk to anyone.
The sudden stop of the bus and of the classical music that had been accompanying you for the whole three hours of the trip seem to indicate that you finally reach your destination.
The backdoor of the bus opens and you find yourself in front of a long, dark corridor. The walls seemed made of metal, but covered in a disgusting green goo.
- Come on! Leave the bus! Go! Go! - Screamed a guard outside, hitting on the walls of the bus with, probably, his gun.
(To get a visual idea imagine kind of the inside of Xenomorph's spaceship in Alien and Prometheus movies.)
