Arik smirked, raising an eyebrow at Mika when she basically said they would both go down swinging together. He couldn't stop himself from finding a retort, "You better be careful. I might get the wrong idea of our relationship…", he said, before biting his lip in a faux display of attraction. He followed it with a smile, before the group landed across from them.

He looked from Cas to Sam, a little miffed, instantly that they left AnnaBeth behind. Either Castiel didn't feel comfortable around her anymore, with the baby, or he left her there to get Arik away from the new toy…

He glared at Sam, and Castiel, making a note to kill the angel after it was all over with, if he even survived. Angels were nothing more than flies buzzing around like they owned the planet. Truth was, Demons walked this earth…and Angels ran. Where the change in power happened, he wasn't sure. Before Sam could get his entire sentence out, Arik disappeared.

    --

AnnaBeth almost smiled at Sam's small gesture of affection. It was nice, since she was afraid that his brain would be anywhere but taking care of her. Before she knew it, however, she was alone, her hair blown about by Cas' wings flapping. She stood slowly and looked around, "Cas? Sam?"

Why would they just leave her there? Was Castiel afraid of her, now? Was he afraid of what she was capable of…or…maybe the baby was capable of? She closed her eyes, almost praying that Cas wouldn't start telling Sam a bunch of crap about an anti-christ baby, or something.

With no flutter of wings, a hand ran down her cheek, and her eyes shot open, meeting the bright blue eyes that she was still not used to, "Great…"

"What? No, 'Hi honey?' or 'Where's my child support?' Lighten up, love. Feather duster couldn't carry the load, I think…or he thinks your, bun there…", he pointed to her belly, before tearing his eyes from it, "…could trigger the big boys upstairs to come down and protect their toy."

"He thinks my…baby could hurt Rhiannon? She's not even born!"

"It's just an observation. I'm not accusing him of anything, but if it's mine…", Arik started.

"It's not yours. No matter what the outcome is…It's not…"

"And if the thing comes out a full fledged demon? What then? Convince Sam that that speck of demon blood running through his veins was enough to create hellspawn? You know better…", Arik said, not coming prepared for this conversation. If he didn't get her back soon, the rest would start to wonder his motives.

"I'll do whatever I have to do. She won't…be evil. Demon or not. There are good demons."

"Name one…", he said quickly, rolling his eyes, as they touched down in the kitchen behind Mika.

"You. There has to be some good in you…", she answered, before realizing they had changed scenery. She sighed, sitting in a kitchen chair heavily, "Shouldn't you be heading outside?"

"General rule of thumb is that I don't talk to…or look at the prophet. As long as I'm not in contact with her, or threatening her…I should be fine. Just keep your guard dog away from me…", he said, pointing at Cas, while speaking to Sam. He took a seat next to AnnaBeth, propping both feet up on the old table.

    --

"Great…the gang's all here…", Dean sighed, looking up at his now bloody arms, "That means someone can take these damn things off, since you have your dog back…"

He hated talking that way to Cas, but right now, Cas was just another angel to him, until this was all over.

Mika couldn't help but smirk at Arik's retort. In all honesty, he was half expecting some kind of retort from him, that and surprise she even said what she did. "Yeah...like you'd risk getting Dean Winchester on your ass..." She retorted back, before the group had reappeared in the house.

She put her hand on Sam's arm giving it a friendly squeeze as she sighed. Walking passed Sam she stood by Rhiannon and Castiel, looking at Dean as he continued to be the smart ass and be a total dick towards Castiel. Truth was, she really wanted to hit Dean but then what would that possibly accomplish? Other than her having a throbbing fist and Dean getting yet another 'Mika bruise'. She looked behind her, back where the kitchen was when Arik returned with AnnaBeth and she heard what she said to him. Rolling her eyes, she wondered why she was so desperate to find good in a demon.

Then she brought her attention back to Dean, glancing at Cas wondering if it was really the right thing to do of letting him free. "Will you try and do another runner to yes to Michael?" She asked, walking up to him squatting back down again, but keeping enough of a distance so he can't grab the paper clip that was now hidden down her bra. She glanced around at the whole group wondering what they could possibly do to bring Dean back to their first mindset. "Rhiannon, sorry you have to witness this..." She spoke up, looking at her giving her an apologetic smile before looking to Dean.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam mentally counted the time it took Arik to grab AnnaBeth, as he still didn't trust him with her alone. When they came back, he too wondered why she was so desperate to find the good in him. He walked into the kitchen and went to the refridgerator to grab a beer, seeing on the counter next to it that three were already consumed.

He wondered how just Mika and Arik between them could consume three beers in such a short space of time. He also didn't put it passed Mika to have had two of those three. She took bad situations like Dean, and he felt like it was her spending school life with them and seeing Dean's grief over losing her- be the reasons behind her coping strategies. Taking a beer out himself, he leaned against the worktop before walking to the doorframe. "Dean... if we let you free you'l go do something reckless.. and we all know that something will be." He said to his brother, wanting this time to be the one who looked after Dean and not the other way round.

He just wanted to be sure Dean wouldn't go and say 'yes' before he let him free. Even if it meant putting on the brotherly guilt trip alongside Mika's girlfriend's guilt trip.

Rhiannon lookes at them when they explained Chuck. She would have commented, but perhaps she was in a better frame of mind now. She knew alcoholics. She had been friends with a few, and most were paranoid as all get out. However, the transfer had her concernee and listening to Arik speak aboit not talking to her she had more questions coming to mind. They could wait though, and she heard Mika's apology. She would have laughed, but waves a hand. "I've seen worse."

Just the nature of the statement alone made her skin crawl, but it wasn't a lie. She looked to Annabeth and offered her a look. Why she wasn't with them when Cas moved them had her curious, but she didn't voice it. She took the journal she had still in her hand with the pencil and turned it over to doodle on the the back of it. She often created things from doodles that she didn't intend. She just needed her hands doing something to keep herself from asking a million and one questions and when her hands were busy, so was her mind.

Dean looked to Mika when she spoke up, and he rolled his eyes. She knew the answer. He didn't have to say a word. However, he let his glare soften into a plea, "Look. I'll hear out your dumb ass plan. I'll at least give you that. Then, if you really think you can…tackle me and chain me back up if I try anything, but seriously…I need someone to get me out of this.."

He wiggled his arms, causing Castiel to step forward and snap his fingers. The handcuffs disappeared and blood began to gush from Dean's wrists as he shot up from the bed and looked around at all of the ready and willing attackers above him.

    "Thanks, Cas…"

Castiel didn't say a word. His eyes held a deadly glare, as he stepped to the side, close enough to Mika to brush his trench coat against her arm. He wanted Dean to know that he was no longer on his side, until he pulled his head out of his ass long enough to realize that this wasn't his battle, anymore. It was everyone's.

    --

AnnaBeth watched Sam come into the kitchen and grab a beer. For the situation, he didn't look as tense as she figured he would. He almost just looked uncomfortable. She followed him to the doorway, and wrapped an arm lightly around his waist, looping her thumb in the belt loop above his front pocket.

She watched what was going on, keeping her guard up in case Dean decided to do anything stupid to banish Cas, or make a stupid run for it. She also noticed Rhiannon in the background, out of place, and still doodling away with her journal. She gave a sad look, glancing down at her stomach. As always, a lot was happening, and the world was ending. Another Tuesday at the office.

Mika looked at him as he continued to glare at her. She found his glares beginning to get old, and beginning to not affect her as much as the realisation of what he wanted to do. When however she saw it soften into a plea, her own watchful look on him softened, but only by the tiniest bit, that it probably wouldn't even be noticed.

She watched the handcuffs disappear off his wrists, and she stood up at the same time as Dean, so she was ready to stop him running off like a stubborn child. Feeling Castiel's trenchcoat brush against her arm was reassuring to her, as from that one movement, she knew Cas was on her side with this one and not with Dean. "Sam, get the first aid kit from the kitchen cupboards for your brother will you?" She asked, not taking her gaze off of Dean. She was convinced he'd do a runner if she did look away at this point.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam watched on as the group stayed watchful of Dean, like he was from his position. He felt worked up, but he was more worried about his brother's mindset than anything else. Yet there was this big part of him that kept saying Dean wouldn't go through with it. If they kept piling onto Dean what he would be leaving behind and saying goodbye to, what the consequences were if he said 'yes', then maybe, just maybe Dean wouldn't have the ball to actually go through with this irrational plan.

He looked down at AnnaBeth when she stood beside him and looped her fingers in his belt loops, which made him put an arm around her protectively and a little sigh escaping his lips. "He won't go through with this..." He said quietly, so only AnnaBeth would hear him. "After spending all these years trying to protect me and trying to find Mika... I don't think he'll go through with this..." He said again, only for her to hear. His attention got brought back to Dean though when Cas let him free of the cuffs. Seeing Cas take the side of Mika and them instead of Dean was rather poignant to him. When Mika asked him to get the first aid kit for Dean's bleeding wrists, he nodded and headed over to the right cupboard, taking out the first aid kit and walking back to Mika handing it to her.

He watched as Mika, sat Dean down on the bed and tended to his bleeding wrists, like the loving girlfriend and maternal woman she always was and still is.

Well today was certainly fun for Bobby. Everyone comes back to his house and suddenly Dean is about to give up. The old hunter always did feel that Dean wasn't entirely confident in his chances in beating the Devil, but Bobby was still convinced that he would still try. Its usually what hunters would do and Bobby is still going through this himself. It wasn't easy being a cripple and definitely not a crippled hunter.

He heard some noise in the kitchen and decided to go in there to see what was going on with Dean. Sam and Annabeth were there grabbiing a First aid kit for Dean. He found his way in the room since he figured Dean was likely the one who needed it anyway. Bobby felt like focusing on ways to stop the Apocalypse instead of the issue in front of him. What could he say to someone who has essentially given up on the fight when he himself spends everyday trying to overcome it? They did rely on him for guidance, but he could see that Dean was exhausted. It made Bobby wonder what cracked him and not the others.

"Dean." He said to get his attention.

Dean relaxed a bit as he realized that no one was planning attack on him. He was afraid, for a second that Cas would attack him if he wasn't careful, but he was still. When Sam left the room to go get the first aid kit, he noticed AnnaBeth for the first time, and turned his face from her with a sigh. It was sad that he could barely look at someone that he considered family, because of something she couldn't do anything about…but Cas could, and wouldn't.

When Sam returned and Mika began fiddling with his wrists, he hissed. Those mothers were sore, already, down to the bone. In fact, in a few places, Dean swore he could see the pearly white bone shining through the blood and matter, and the thought made him queazy.

"Yeah…", he answered Bobby, in a gruff voice, followed by a hiss of pain.

    --

AnnaBeth gave Sam's side a small squeeze as he spoke up. It was her turn to care about him. The baby wasn't going anywhere, for now. The bump wasn't growing, as far as she could tell, and there was no point to pushing the issue. Bigger fish…

"I know. There's too much power here to let him go, anyways. We'll get him through this…I promise…", she replied to him, not following him to the cabinets. She glanced to Arik, who was leaned back in his chair, his feet holding him to the table enough for him to close his eyes and fake sleep, or maybe his eyes needed a break. Either way, they were closed, and he seemed peaceful. As Sam returned, AnnaBeth stood, awaiting him standing next to her, where she could show him more support. To her, it was the most important thought, on top of all of her emotions running around.

    --

Castiel gasped, grabbing his forehead and squeezing his temples hard. He was clearly in pain, and was thinking about something. The buzzing caught Arik's attention, and he opened one eye, "Hey Hotwing…What's going on?"

"Something's happening…", Cas said, and without uttering another word, he vanished, sending papers flying.

    Arik smirked, incredulously, "O-kay?"

Mika tended to his wound as softly as she possibly could, but applying enough pressure to actually dos ome good to him. When he hissed from the pain she just rolled her eyes, "Stop being a baby..." She said to him, "You're gonna survive another day, just... dont flinch..." She told him, feeling like she was in some kind disney movie or something with him.

When Bobby came into the room and acknowledged Dean's sorry state, she glanced up for a brief second, then back to Dean and his wrists. "Someone hand Dean the whiskey bottle, if he's drinking he isn't whining" She said, patching him up and then wrapping some bandages round his wrists, sealing them in place with a bit of tape. "Try not to twist your wrists or flip them too much... it will open the wounds again," She told Dean, running her hands through his hair down the side of his face, even though she knew he wouldn't appreciate it right now. Patting the side of cheek, she stayed sat beside him, when Cas held his head seeming to be in pain.

"Cas?" She asked, but Arik beat her to it, before Cas just disappeared out of the room.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam looked down on AnnaBeth when she spoke back to him and he took in her words as gospel. Not because it was a bright move, hell it probably wasn't, but because he NEEDED to hear that kind of hope right now. He didn't want to lose his brother to Michael, and he didn't want to lose his brother full stop.

So if hearing the hopeful words from AnnaBeth was all he had to go on, he'd take those words gladly. He nodded in agreement to her words, and pulled her close into his side, giving her shoulder a little squeeze. "Yeah... yeah you're right..." He said to her, trying to believe his words as well. He continued to look on at Dean and Mika and couldn't help but smirk ever so slightly at Dean's hissing to the pain and Mika's comments towards him. They really were something else those two he thought. Then Cas held his head in pain, said something is happening and vanished in a rush of urgency.

    "O...kay" He just said.

There wasn't much he could really talk to Dean about other than the elephant in the room. Right now he just needed to understand why Dean was doing this. Bobby can't hate Dean for even acting on this, especially when cowardice and being needed were the two things stopping him from grabbing a gun and taking the easy way out. "So tell me how in the hell you of all people need to be shackled so you won't go off and start a battle that is going roast half the planet?" There was anger in his voice. It was obvious, but it was also clear he was willing to listen. That was one of the things they did need from him. Understanding and the ability to set someone's head on straight.

Rhiannon had been lost in her own her train of thought for a while, her mind trying to process everything, but soon she looked up at the sudden spew of papers coming up and she looked around. Castiel was gone. What had happened while she was off in her own little? She wasn't completely sure, but it seemed that something was up, and she tried not to look over at Arik. She knew that something bad would happen if they were "in contact." It made little sense to her, he hadn't been hurt when they were interacting before, so why would he be hurt now? So much she didn't understand, but soon she opened up one of the journals that she had brought with and began doodling on a page that had a few things written on it. It was ideas for a poem she was writing, but she didn't know how to start it.

She wasn't feeling particularly poetic at the moment either, her mind was in a haze, but finally she spoke. "What exactly is wrong?" she asked, and she soon felt herself falling back into her other trains of thought. Annabeth and her baby, the overwhelming darkness, the fact that the two men she had seen die were alive. It was surreal and unnerving. She wanted to run away from it, but she still had so many questions that needed answered. The child though was still on her mind, the bright eyes it bore. She was beautiful and full of light.
