AnnaBeth looked at Arik as he spoke, finally meeting his eyes for a couple of seconds. Sam’s thoughts were making her sad. His anger, and his irritation was consuming him. She could think of nothing more or less than getting him out of the situation. She wished she could just poof them to an island somewhere. She would even take a random white room, like the one Lucifer had placed her into. The white room would give her time to fix Sam. The white room would give Sam time to be saved…

She rolled her eyes at Mika, ready to just spill the news herself. This wasn’t exactly the time and place for this sort of argument, but if it would save from everyone having to fight, she would take the silent aftermath of her words. However, the fight began breaking out before she could speak.

“Guys…”, she started, as Arik stepped closer to Sam. She stepped between them swiftly, “Enough of this…”

“…Do you really think that this is anything to concern you? I have no desire to go back to hell…or take anyone with me, for that matter. I don’t need to. You’re all going eventually. You…my friend are the first to go. Lucifer is wearing you to the prom and there is nothing any of these poor saps can do about it, but they sure do try. They sure do try to keep you happy. I guess a happy last breath to them is better than having you around, eh?”, he stammered, almost wanting to punch Sam in his irritation for the larger human, “You’re nothing, without Lucifer. You would already be dead…I would kill you myself…I only gave Mika what she wanted, in return for something I wanted. Surely you can figure that one out…”

Arik glanced at AnnaBeth and gave her a small smile, ready for whatever Sam could dish out to him. Size wasn’t intimidating, without demon blood. When Henry mentioned moving on, before they had this conversation, he grinned. The conversation was already started, but he was right. They should move on, before getting into any kind of heated argument.

    “The witch is right…let’s go…”

    --

Dean bent himself into the car, sitting heavily and looking over to Mika, “What the hell did you do? Nothing like this comes without a price. What did it cost you? He gave you your soul for what? 10 years?”, he asked, trying to fight the terrified emotions that were sweeping over his vocal chords at the moment. He was absolutely mortified that Mika had put herself in this situation, especially if she had dealt with her own soul, again.

“One, why would you even…for a second…trust that piece of crap?”, he asked, “You know he means nothing but harm against the three of us, because of her. He would slit all of our throats, but he knows he can’t kill me, or Sam, and hurting you would only make things worse on him…I just don’t get it sometimes. I mean…I’m not saying you should be the person you were in high school…but at least back then…things weren’t so clear cut. You thought things through. You would have never…sacrificed yourself for something with a loophole…”

He was convinced that she had made a deal for years, rather than another life.

She saw Henry arrive to the impala and when he told Sam and pretty much everyone to just let it go for the time being, she figured it was a good time to snake her way into the impala.

She got in the passenger seat as where she usually sat and felt the car lower when Dean got in sitting down heavily. She couldn't help but look in the rear view mirror and watch Arik start an argument with Sam, and Annabeth and Henry trying to stop it. Then Dean's words broke through her concentration and made her look at him. "I don't trust him Dean.... but right now temptation no matter what kind if being overwhelming. I TRIED to stop myself in making the damn deal with him... I thought it all through thoroughly but... the thought of having my soul back and being.... and being the girl you..I...we want me to be again was over powering everything else. So I took the chance and went with it" She said to him honestly.

"Dean... we can we just have this conversation at a motel or something? I've already had a lecture from AB about making the deal... I don't need you to be angry at me as well. I think if you end up angry at me BEFORE I get my soul back in me... I don't think I'd survive having it back... it's bad enough AB is seriously pissed at me" She said to him, still being vague on the price. "One thing I can tell you... it's not years, the price that is" She told him, looking him straight in the eye.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam watched as Arik got in his face, even though Annabeth got in between them, and he was sort of glad she did, as he wasn't sure what he would be capable of if she hadn't done.

"When it's to do with Mika, then yeah it does concern me.. just like if it was to do with AB or Dean... I've known Mika all my life!" He spat back at him, when Henry came into the whole argument and told them all to break it up.

Reluctantly, Sam backed down, but kept a watchful eye on Arik, not liking how he worded what the price was for Mika's soul being returned to her. He was suspicious of the price being Annabeth from the way he looked at her after he said his statement. He looked over at Henry when he said about he had already spoken to her about it and sighed, taking control of himself and letting his anger subside just that little bit.

"Fine... fine.. I'll let it drop... for now" He said, taking Annabeth's hand and walking to the backdoor of the impala and opening it letting her in. "You're right Henry... we should get moving" He said lastly, before getting in the car himself.

AnnaBeth sighed in relief when Sam backed down, removing her hand from Arik's chest, and following Sam to the Impala door. She knew Arik would disappear and appear back at the motel, just to make sure that everything went fine with Mika's soul being officially returned to her. The soul. That word was something AnnaBeth didn't care if she ever heard again. So far, souls had cost them so much, and caused so much conflict between all of them, it was sickening.

Sitting down in the seat beside Sam, she looked out, just in time to see Arik disappear into thin air beside the car. Looking over to Sam, she made eye contact, giving him a sad smile.

"Try to...stay calm for me. Okay? I swear he meant well, even though his...stipulations were a little skewed...That's not my place to tell, though.", she said to him, looking at Mika in the mirror briefly.

    ----------

Arik disappeared and reading Dean's mind briefly appeared at a dingy motel about five miles away. Sitting in the parking lot, he thought things over. The more he thought, the more angry he became. The more angry he became, the more that killing Sam began flowing through his brain as a viable option.

Growling, he kicked the gravel roughly, clenching his fists tight enough to turn his knuckles white. Now he had to wait on them...

    --

Dean listened to Mika, not liking the way her voice moved on certain words. There was something painful, she wasn't telling him. What could she have possibly bid for her soul that would be hard for them to hear? Obviously, demon's don't want money. So, he figured that it was something drastic. Sighing, he started the car, "Yeah, alright. When we get to the motel, no bullshit. I want to know what you did. If you didn't bid years, that means you have something else they want...HE wants...".

It was then that he thought her words over. He played back the part about AnnaBeth being pissed, and her saying it's not years.

Sam looked at Annabeth when she spoke to him and he nodded at her. "Yeah... I will... I promise" He sid to her calmly which for him was a starting point. If Annabeth asked him to try then he would do all it took to try and be calm.

He saw her glance at Mika in the mirror and couldn't help but glance at her himself, before looking back at AB, then out the window as Dean started the engine.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mika saw Henry was still outside by their cars and so she decided to give him another text, "Just follow us to the nearest motel... that's where we're heading, thanks for breaking that up out there. Mika."

She nodded at Dean when he said about no bullshit when they got to the motel. She put her phone on the dashboard of the car, and she looked down at the bag that held her soul in that she took from Arik previously. It was carefully placed between her feet, which kept it secure in place so it wouldn't move around on the journey to the nearest motel.

She just kept staring at it the whole time, figuring that Dean may have started suspecting what the price was from the way she vaguely hunted at what it was she traded for her soul. She knew that Dean would probably never forgive her for it.. just like he probably will never forgive her for lying to him for years. Thoughts were racing through her mind and for once... no reassurance was said by the phoenix within her.... just... silence, pure and utter silence. If that was the case, that can't mean anything good, as usually there'd be the voice of reasoning inside her head, and she kept mentally crying out for it to talk to her, but nothing.

    -------

    Five Miles Later
Mika saw a motel coming up on their left and she watched as they pulled in and saw Arik waiting for them. She couldn't help but wonder why he was still lingering around, but then she figured it could be to make sure her soul get returned into her safely and nothing goes wrong.

She then prayed to Castiel; Cas, it's me Mika. I've got my soul back...I'm kinda counting on you to help me out get it put back.. I know I'm asking a lot fo you lately but I don't trust Arik...

After she prayed, she looked at the guys in the car. "So... check in, get my soul returned.. then...talk? I mean it... talk.. not lecture..." She suggested to them, looking from Dean, to AB, to Sam then back at Dean again.

AnnaBeth gave Sam a small smile, before leaving him be, and taking his hand softly. She was happy that he could relax, when it came to her. She was honestly happier...just knowing that Arik didn't hurt him. When they pulled up to the motel and she saw Arik outside, she sighed. This could get nasty, very quickly.

Pushing that aside, she looked back at Mika when she explained they were going to 'talk'. She nodded, but internally rolled her eyes. She knew that with Dean and Sam's current attitude, there would be ONLY preaching and judgement, and possibly even blood.

    ----

Dean stared at Mikas face the whole way to the motel. He would glance from the road, to her face, and back to the road, before he almost missed the parking lot. Pulling in, he too noticed Arik in the lot, and sighed. He didn't need any of this bullshit. He needed a shower, a cup of coffee, and for everyone to simmer down.

"Talking sounds good, but you...you gotta do the same. You know we're not out to get you, babe...", he added 'babe' to the end of his sentence to try and convey to her that he was still himself. He was mad. Hell, he was madder than he had been since the demon blood fiasco, but he still loved her and was going to take care of her. Opening the door, he stepped out, looking over the top of the car at Arik, "And what can we do you the pleasure?", he asked in a cocky voice.

    --

Arik saw the car pull up, and pushed away from the banister he was leaned against. His anger was still threatening to cause irrational moodswings. The second he glanced into the car and saw Sam's face, the irrationality hit him harder than he had ever felt a 'human' emotion. He just didn't know why. Why was he so mad? Sam, technically, never did anything to him. True, he was keeping him from the one person he was after, but personally, Sam had done nothing.

But he was Sam. He was Lucifer's vessel. He was the one person in this fucked up world that couldn't die. Dean was the same, but Sam...Sam was different. Eventually, he would be Lucifer. Taking things out on him now would make the world a happier place in the future, even if it was only a bit of torture for the soul. When Dean called out to him, he smiled, waving, "I'm just waiting to talk to Sam..."

Mika lifted the bag up from her feet and onto her lap, opening the door but not getting out of the car just yet. She made sure to listen to what Dean had to say in response to her. She nodded and she knew he was right... for once she couldn't back out of this, she had to be truthful to them and not leave anything out.

She couldn't run or walk away, she couldn't pretend that what she did was stupid and reckless... she couldn't do anything but admit to her stupidity and face the consequences that the brothers will throw at her. When he called her 'babe' she was surprised at his open declaration of his feelings towards her infront of Sam and Annabeth. "I know none of your are out to get me.... but I know there will be judgement and preaching going on at me... I can't exactly deny that or hide from it... I just hope it doesn't cause problems with me getting my soul back and how I react..." She said to him openly.

When he got out of the car and became cocky again to Arik she sighed, looking at the back of the car. "Sam.. AB...whatev...you know what.... never mind.. it probably wont mean a thing to you two anyway..." She said to them, stepping out of the car. "Dean... don't..." She just said to him.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Sam began to relax rather easily now he was away from Arik and just with his family and AB. It was like the earlier days when it was just the four of them again... for a relatively short while.

Yet when they got to the motel and saw Arik things just dropped for him again.. though he did manage to stay calm for Annabeth's sake. He looked up when Dean called Mika 'babe' though, like she did herself. It was about time Dean started to be her other half at times he thought to himself.

He went to get out of the car after Mika and Dean when he heard Arik saying he wanted to have words with him. He sighed and really attempted to stay calm. He looked at Annabeth, "I'll stay calm I promise" He told her, meaning every word he said. Getting out of the car he walked over to Arik, "You mean earlier on wasn't enough? Arik why can't you just back off for ONE night? We've been through enough tonight can't you see that?" He said to him, attempting to stay as calm as he possibly could with his words.

Castiel had to accept what was going on, he was becoming human. Whether he liked it or not, soon he’d be a mortal. No more part of the Heavenly Host, his search for God what had it gotten him. He held onto the necklace Dean had loaned him, if he could cry he would have. He was suppose to be the strong one, the superhuman one, the angel Dean’s best friend, he even had a bond with Mika. What did that leave him with, his search for God had came to a hault. He remained in an apartment in Atlanta where he came to think, he couldn’t tell Dean and them how pointless his mission had become. How he struggled for information but was barely getting anywhere.

Then he heard Mika in his mind, something about her soul. This worried him, the lengths they were going without him. He use to be the one they got for all information about souls, and such. Now he was becoming a drunk, one without talents, he was handy with his blade, and that was about it. He needed other skills, before time ran out for him to get them. He walked over to the dresser where a glass half full of whisky was placed. He clasped the glass, and downed the rest of the drink. Alcohol was his safe haven now, he went to it when he was troubled, more than that it was becoming his God. A God that was present, and was there he needed it.

What price had Mika payed for her soul, he was reminded of a Bible Verse. Mark 8: 36 "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” What could she have possibly traded in return for a soul, nothing good. He couldn’t abandon Mika, he vanished reappearing near Dean and Mika. “Mika you called for aid with your soul I can..help put it back in if that’s what you need.” He then turned ooking at Arik, seeing his true face no longer did that disgust him. He’d seen enough demons, he’d been supernaturally desensitized. “If I must ask why Is he here, I assure you can I do the job just fine if not better then this demon.” He said with no emotion, just calm.
    ………….
Sain had other priorities, creating a vampire army was one of them. They needed to fade, and it couldn’t all be in populated cities. Enough had happened with Bela and the Nephilim not to mention Angels running amuck. He never thought he’d be involved with Angels, he’d been studying Enochian sigils. Hunters talked, although not all believed the rumors about Angels and the Apocalypse. He didn’t believe, this ignited long forgotten thoughts of the after life. What was in store for him, hell, did that mean God was real too? Maybe he didn’t care, maybe there was nothing, maybe he could slip into Heaven when died, or Hell he was prepared for whatever was next anyway.

He was sitting down with a woman, staring into her eyes. “Listen to me, and listen good. See that woman over there, go up to her and call her say the man over there thinks she’s an ugly bitch.” The woman nodded and smiled. “Alright will do, only because I love you. “She said in a sort of robotic mode, almost as if she was in a trance. Sain leaned back against the booth, and sipped his margarita. This would be a fun scene to see unfold, it was always entertaining to cause chaos in a diner.

The woman walked over to Bela, and Jaime at the counter. The woman smiled, and grabbed onto Bela’s shoulder.” That man over there.” She said pointing to Sain.” He told me to tell you that you’re an ugly bitch!” She said somewhat loud but with a smile, after all how could you deny service with a smile.

Dean shut up when he heard Mika tell him to stop. She didn’t really have much care in her voice, more like annoyance and fed up…ness. He watched as Sam started lashing out at Arik, and gave a small smirk to himself. It might piss AnnaBeth off, but maybe that’s exactly what Sam needed. Maybe he needed everyone to back off and let him get into one good fight, to take his frustrations out on someone who couldn’t die.

He moved back a bit as Castiel appeared next to them, looking right at him, “Hey, Cas…”, he said, a little confused, until Cas confirmed that Mika had called him. Apparently, she had a better connection with him in her mind than Dean or Sam either one, as it usually took him forever to even get an answer out loud. He looked at Mika, and placed a hand on his hip, telling himself that he wouldn’t bitch at her.

“…trust me. We’re wondering the same thing. He always shows up at the worst times…”

    --

AnnaBeth nodded at Sam, glad that he was going to try and stay calm for her. However, that was ruined pretty quickly, as he stalked over to Arik and began tearing into him, in his own way. Rolling her eyes, she sighed, getting out of the car behind him, “…that’s not exactly what I mean by calm…”, she mumbled to herself, walking up beside them to referee.

She placed a hand on Sam’s arm, trying to find a way to keep him calm as Arik stepped forward.

    --

Arik smirked at Sam bumbling out of the car. Well, didn’t he just look like a graceful elk, bounding across the gravel. Arik could hear his knees moving, and felt the sudden urge to give a swift kick to his kneecap. Taking a long deep breath, he decided against it, unclenching his fists as they drew closer. He thought that things could start off calm, and fort the most part they did, but he was feeling the tension with Sam, like he was attacking him.

“Woa. Who says I’m not backing off? I just want to talk to YOU. I don’t want to bother anyone else but you. Until you say yes, you have no life. You’ll never sleep a sound night again, because I will be right there…right outside your window.”, he started. AnnaBeth frowned at him.

    “Arik…”

“You shut up and let me talk. You don’t make decisions for him anymore. Neither do the others. I want to see the real Sam. C’mon….Sammy boy. It’s in the back of your mind. You want to take your little knife, and slit my throat…”, Arik spouted. His sudden rant caused AnnaBeth to look straight at his eyes. This wasn’t him. This was Lucifer’s control, “Think about it real hard…”

After that, he began projecting images of himself and AnnaBeth into Sam’s brain, a made up night that they had had together. The images were vivid, and hard to distinguish from reality. Arik smirked, “Yeah…that’s right…”, before looking at AnnaBeth. AnnaBeth quickly delved into Sam’s brain, her eyes going huge.

“What? No no no…that’s…what the hell?!”

"That was fast, but I'll take it." Henry was genuinely surprised by everyone willing to drop it for now, but they weren't always huge bags of emotion. He followed them in his car to the next motel. On his way there he was thinking about what he would do with the blood he had.

The Thermos containing the blood was held in Henry's hand. He could sense the blood in it and the power it held, but how should he use it? This was actually kind of new to him. Demon blood could either be a whole new beast or simply similar to human blood, but has a bit more kick to it. If any of them was ever going to get out of that deal, then he would need to get to work and keep it secret. If Arik found out what he was doing then things would get problematic.

He stopped at the motel and walked in after them, but could just see Sam and Arik ready to start a fight. Henry wanted to stop this, but at the same time he was tired of getting involved for the day. He leaned against a wall nearby and just watched the sparks fly. Hey he couldn't get a kill today so he needed some form of entertainment.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jaime knew that Bela was angry already. They weren't necessarily living the life. There situation was a bit depressing to say the least, but he needed to just keep going. All he wanted to do was kill Sain and whatever else came afterwards (if there was an after) would be something future Jaime can deal with.

He followed Bela into the hotel which looked better than any hotel he has been in. They were at the counter telling the receptionist who they were so they could get the room that Gabriel promised them, when a woman just walked up to them and pointed at a man sitting down. She just said that he called Bela a ugly bitch.

Jaime raised an eyebrow at that and looked at Bela then at the woman who looked a little to cheery. "Nah she definitely isn't ugly." He grinned knowing he didn't say anything about the bitch part. "So who is your little friend over there?" The woman's heart pumped blood into her body like everyone in the room except for that man she pointed to. There was definitely blood in his body, but it wasn't human.

Mika stood and watched as Sam got out of the car and really tried to hold himself back from punching Arik to the ground. She could tell he was really finding it difficult to keep the lid on his can of anger, and she knew this wasn't going to end well.

Then Cas turned up quite soon after she prayed to him and was glad he turned up, though she could smell alcohol on him and could see things were troubling him, even though he remained calm and almost emotionless like herself. hen he said about being able to return her soul to her she nodded. "Yeah... don't trust him to do it" She said to Cas, pointing at Arik.

She decided to ignore Dean's look when Cas turned up and in his own way confirmed she called for him and he obviously wanted to have a bitch at her. She then looked back at Sam and Arik, and AB trying to stop things before they got heated. "I don't know if we stop this or let it continue" She commented. "But AB needs to get out there... before she gets accidently hurt" She added.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Sam listened to what Arik was saying, threatening him, and he wasn't liking it much. He hated it when people threatened him, that annoyed him more than Dean being all vague with him, like he was a few years ago with the whole making a deal with the crossroads demon to save him.

"Don't threaten me Arik" He said back at him, clenching his fist closed, really trying to hold back his anger, but he could feel his anger just bubbling up inside him and control was seriously lacking. "And every time you're outside our window I'll be there with anything to keep you at bay!" He replied to him.

When Arik suddenly posted images in his mind of Annabeth and Arik together, he was gritting his teeth, clenching his eyes shut, trying to not believe it.

"STOP IT!" He ended up shouting, moving Annabeth away from the both of them, anger clearly shot in his eyes as he got right up into Arik's face and punching his face a good three times. "You stay away from her! And stay away from us all! You got that!? None of us want you around! You're just lucky we don't have the damn colt!" He snapped, Arik had broken him, and it was hard to not believe the images he had put into his mind, his heart was breaking again as his anger grew stronger.

He then decided to grab out of his pocket the knife that Ruby once had, ready to kill Arik and just be done with it.. just like Arik egged him on to do.
