Hm, I am new to this place myself, a couple of weeks at most, but what I've seen of it so far, I've been impressed with.
I've noticed a few times the lag, and problems loading, but it's not been very bad for me. Even if it was, I'm sure I'd be persistant, and manage to find a way on regardless to be able to post XD. 'Tis the awesomeness of this place that makes it so alluring.
I'd also like to say, congrats on the status of the place. In all honesty, it's probably the #1 rp site in existance. I'm honored to be a part of it.
I regards to the add in order to keep the site up and running, as well as maintained, hell, why not? I have no problems ignoring adds, as long as they don't 'pop-up' or talk to me annoyingly when I don't want to hear it. Just a minor price to pay for consistancy in rp.

In theory, getting enough traffic to overload the servers is a very good thing, financialy.
Far better than big server, low demand (a dozen RPers), lots of ads, and a monthly-fee.
Instead: undersized server, heavy demand, few ads.
Even better when each time the page has to reload from a connection-error, it counts as a second visit.
This website currently earns $7/day.
39% of our traffic is through India.
21% American.
