    Race: Observer
    Ambassador: Captain Ivan
Life Span: Don't die of age

In this world of ours there are mysteries we have no hope of ever figuring out; things we will never understand. Among those things is the existence of another world, right beside ours. We have coexisted with this secondary world –called the ‘fourth dimension’ for now –for as long as man has walked the Earth. Some of the denizens of that world even walk among us, pretending to be just the same as any other human being. They are anything but.
These people, these ‘Observers’, dedicate their lives to watching over mankind and recording everything that happens within our world –the ‘third dimension’. Though their race’s true name is unpronounceable in our tongue, we can come rather close by saying ‘Liirma’. Just as the entire race’s name cannot be truly spoken in human tongue, the people have names unpronounceable by us. We can only try our hardest, ending up with things like ‘Zix’, ‘Root’, and ‘Norah’. This is not the case with some of their names, though. A few even have names not entirely unfamiliar to the human race, such as ‘Belphegor’, ‘Abigor’, ‘Lucifer’, and even ‘Asmodeus’.
They operate under vastly different laws than our race. Our concepts of ‘personal space’ and the like are completely lost on them. Theirs is a society rather open-minded about sexuality. It is not all that uncommon to see two or even a group of them out in say… one of the grassy plains of their world, going at it like rabbits. Their population swells rapidly due to their constant reproduction and extremely high fertility. It’s almost unheard of for sex to not result in the conception of a child there.
While we are on the subject of sex, let’s discuss their anatomy. Like a human, they have two arms, two legs, a head, eyes and the rest. The main difference comes when you get down to their gender-specific features. ‘Liirma’ or rather, Observers do not separate themselves by male and female. Their separations come in the form of the masculine, and the feminine. Most Observers appear similar to human females at first glance, but many are hermaphrodites; possessing both sets of sexual organs. These are the ‘masculine’. The ‘feminine’ have bodies exactly like those of human women. Though rare, there are literally masculine Observers, those that look like men and possess only the masculine sexual organ. These abnormalities tend to serve beneath the other, normal Observers.
The Observers have a sort of caste system in their society. It has been received well for the most part, and prevents a majority of the ‘class’ related strife mankind suffers. Their system operates based on blood color. This race does not have only red blood like humans, but a rainbow of colors and classes. To list absolutely every permutation of each blood type would take quite some time, so we will only discuss the basics and a few abnormalities.
The first blood color we will discuss is the one like our own; red. These Observers are called ‘Redbloods’. They serve as soldiers, and are born with a razor-sharp killer instinct and the abilities to boot. Their general mentality is like that of a wild beast; kill first –ask questions never. While there are exceptions to this, they tend to be so rare that it isn’t really worth mentioning. Redbloods are, of course, always the first sent into battle if there is a war to be fought. Occasionally one will see Blue and Yellowbloods among the fighters, but this is also rare. The Redblood’s natural-born ability is Strength. They have access to more physical power than anyone else in ‘Yon-Jigen’. To give it a more concrete description… a Redblood could tear someone’s head clear from their shoulders with their index finger and thumb.
Let’s discuss the Bluebloods. Stereotypically enough, Bluebloods are the ‘Nobles’ of Observer society. They hold the ‘high-class’ roles; such as politicians, scholars, scientists, leaders and the like. These Observers have a somewhat haughty attitude toward lower bloods, normally; and why shouldn’t they? They are the most mentally powerful Observers in all of Yon-Jigen, possessing abilities such as telepathy, varied ‘-kinesis’, and a special ability known as Domination. Bluebloods exude a commanding aura at all times, and can take control of lowbloods, provided they are not aware of the attempt on their free will. This does not always work, so it’s rare to see the ability used seriously.
One permutation involving both Red and Blue blood is the elusive Purpleblood. The abilities allotted to these extremely rare Observers all involve sexual pheromones being used to control others, resulting in these Observers sometimes being known as ‘Succubae’. The only known Purpleblood in existence at this time is Lodeca Bright; younger sister of the well-known Norah Bright and leader of the notorious (read: imaginary) Bright Federation Force Pirate group.
Next are the Yellow and Greenbloods. The main difference between the two is the way they are treated, but for the sake of completeness we’ll discuss each in full, starting with Yellow. Yellowbloods are simple civilians. There isn’t much special about them, and they would fit in perfectly with humans if not for their natural Observer abilities. Like any other Observer, they are capable of creating their own rifts in space/time and flying. Their special ability is Haggle. When faced with a price they don’t like, Yellowbloods have such gifted tongues that they are able to negotiate pricing with even the most hard-assed of salespeople.
Now, Greenbloods are something else entirely. Like Yellowbloods, they’re civilians… but the similarities stop there. Greenbloods are referred to as the ‘trash’ of the race. No one would care were an entire handful of them to just melt, one day. They are the lowest blood class to exist, and their abilities show it. Horribly low strength, no mental abilities –they don’t even have a blood-specific power. These Observers could fit in with humans without any issues, lacking even the normal Observer abilities of flight and portal creation.
Next up are the Observers completely forsaken by the Goddess; Blackbloods. When an Observer manages to anger the normally calm Goddess, they are cursed to spend the remainder of their days with tainted blood, black blood. They are cast out from society and sent off to wander alone forever. There are rumors of a small city comprised solely of Blackbloods, but this has yet to be proven true to most of the other bloods. (It is true.) They do not have a blood-specific ability, simply retaining whatever their former blood color’s ability was.
The last of the blood types in the caste is that which belongs to the Goddess herself. Rt’Amaq Yuteq –or Root, possesses bright pink blood. It is reported to be extremely sweet and extremely intoxicating, like alcohol. The Goddess’ blood serves as a very effective healing agent, capable of mending any wound when sprinkled over it. Though many are not aware, it also serves as a powerful aphrodisiac. As far as anyone knows, the Goddess does not have a specific ability related to her blood.
With the subject of blood types out of the way for now, let’s discuss history.
As far as anyone knows, Yon-Jigen was created on a whim by the Goddess, shaped to fit her desires, and slowly populated over time. The first Observers were five, very interesting individuals:
Norah Bright, the first Observer created (rumored to have been a human beforehand).
Abigor Araxandign, the first Observer to create her own weapon.
An’Zedaki, genius scientist and founder of Section 7; the ‘top-secret’ research facility dedicated to gene experiments and bodily modification.
Hanshin, fox-like woman and the first Observer to be born with red blood.
And Cuess. Cuess was the first male Observer to be created, and is believed to be the only reason males are still occasionally born. He has no further relevance.
These people were sent out to further populate the world, though the Goddess did still give birth to Observers directly from time to time. Over a period of time that would be one hundred years in human time, the world was fully populated and starting to form its own government system. This did not go as well as they thought it would, eventually resulting in the world’s first murder. An’Zedaki’s choice to take a poor Yellowblooded Observer apart bit by bit in order to research her innards (under the claim that no one would miss her, given her low blood) sparked tension between different factions among the race. These tensions slowly elevated to verbal conflict. Verbal conflict soon became physical fighting. Physical fighting… soon became a massive war. Thousands of lives were lost in the conflict as the Goddess watched in silence, devastated to see her children slaughtering one another as though it meant nothing.
The war raged on for quite some time, and for a while, it seemed the faction loyal to Norah Bright would win. They had the greater resources and base, taking up residence in the massive tower the Goddess resided in… but their loss was inevitable as well. Norah’s own right hand, Abigor, is reported to have slowly lost her mind, eventually breaking down before Bright and killing her in front of everyone. A lot of what happened immediately after that changes depending on who you ask. Some say Abigor simply howled in despair at her own actions, others say she laughed maniacally. Even further, some say she tried to kill herself along with Norah. It is unclear which story is true, but one thing is concrete; in every story, Abigor is reported to have run off shortly after killing Norah Bright. Her whereabouts remain unknown, and she is largely considered to be a murderer.
For quite some time after Norah Bright’s death, nothing much happened in Yon-Jigen. The Goddess gave some concrete laws on how higher bloods were to treat lower bloods, An’Zedaki’s work continued ‘under the radar’, and things returned to a mostly peaceful state. It was some time before anything worth recording happened… and it was quite the event. The Goddess spoke to her people of a new race she created, filling many with glee over the heavier population of their world. However, others saw things differently.
    ‘Another race?’
    ‘What is the Goddess thinking?’
    ‘Will they be civilized?’
    ‘What are their blood types?’
Many were worried they would not click with the new people…
… And they were right. These new creatures, these ‘Rhornaqubh’ were nothing like the Liirma. They were stronger than Redbloods, faster than anything Yon-Jigen had ever seen before, but not as smart as a Blueblood could be. Their intelligence level fell somewhere between that which a Yellowblood could manage and that which Bluebloods held. *All of them possessed blonde hair and blue or green eyes, the lack of variety confounding the very colorful Liirma. It was not long before they seemed to mesh with society, however, and things were peaceful. At least they were until the Bluebloods decided to interfere.
The many Rhornaqubh within the largest of the Observers’ cities, Sanctum, were suddenly rounded up and guided to the plains nearby. It was there that a group of Bluebloods began to inform them of their ‘true’ roles, as servants. They may not have been unintelligent, but the Rhornaqubh were extremely gullible. They fell right for it and began to live in servitude to the Nobles of society for the next three hundred years. The Goddess was very displeased with this course of events, but did nothing to stop it. She knew how it would all end, so she would let the Observers face the consequences of their actions.
A rather popular Rhornaqubh named Bhalhaelo was the first to act against the false hierarchy, one day simply refusing to work any further. As much as her masters demanded it, she would not budge… so she was savagely beaten. This was the first time a Rhornaqubh was freely struck by an Observer, and it was also the last. Bhalhaelo punched clear through her master’s chest, killing them instantly and inciting riots across Sanctum once her actions were discovered. Other Rhornaqubh began to attack Observers as they made their way out of Sanctum, killing many. The total body count of the conflict came out to be twenty six, two of which were Rhornaqubh. The Rhornaqubh were never found by the parties of Redbloods sent to hunt them down, having run quite far.
Rhornaqubh society slowly evolved over time as they built their own ‘Sanctum’ many miles away from the real one. It was a crude recreation, but it served well as a place for them all to live. Bhalhaelo was made their leader for her actions against the Observers, and she took to the role with gusto. What they did next is unknown.
Back on the Observer side, things were slowly managing to return to normal after the slaughter they had witnessed that night. The Goddess herself came down to reprimand those responsible for turning the Rhornaqubh into slaves, threatening to taint the blood of each one. Many events were also happening at the same time; such as the birth of An’Zedaki’s daughter, the creation of the first Blackblood, and little incidents caused by the late Bright’s younger sister Lodeca.
Random ass Q & A to fill space.
Q: Why are Observers called ‘Observers’?
A: It’s more a title to refer to what they do, which is observe and record events that take place in the third dimension. The actual race name is ‘Liirma’.*
Q: Liirma? That sounds like you made it up on the spot.
    A: No, it does not.
Q: Why are most of the ‘Liirma’ females and hermaphrodites?
A: Why are most humans male or female?
Q: Lol, you stole the blood idea from Homestuck. You unoriginal loser.
A: No, I did not. The concept of Observers and their blood caste was in my head before I began reading Homestuck. Though you may choose not to believe this, it does not matter much.
    Q: Why all the cloning?
    A: Because I said so.
Q: If I make an Observer, can they be a (Pink, Purple)blood?
A: Sure, if you want me to reject them on sight. I already explained how the blood types work.
Q: Can I make a (insert blood type that does not exist) Observer?
A: No. Unless you can come up with a good reason for them not to exist in the timeline, or come up with some good way to insert the new blood type into the timeline without being a drama queen, don’t bother.
Q: Can I make an older Observer? Like, one of the ones involved in the Rebellion?
A: Absolutely. Just be sure to remember that, being that old, they should know most of the others.
    Q: (Insert Homestuck reference here).
    A: Get the fuck out.
Q: Can my Observer have (insert ridiculously overpowered ability here, such as straight immortality.)
A: Hell no. You’ll just use it to run around in god-mode and make my race look bad.
Q: But your Observers seem to be pretty powerful.
    A: Powerful. Not invulnerable.
Q: My Observer hates yours for some reason! Let’s do a bunch of fight scenes!
    A: No.
Q: Hey, isn’t that blood caste idea from Homestu-*shot*
A: How many times do I need to drive this point home?
