The appearence of the Xenomorph was entirely based off the appearence of the appearence of Skinwalkers, as the creator of the Alien movie franchise had a close encounter with one. However, Skinwalkers are very rarely seen in thier true form, due to A) thier amazing speed B) ability to lengthen thier anatomy or make it more compact and C) they live up to thier name. Skinwalkers live by killing other beings, removing thier skin and sliding inside. Thier ability to change size allows them to fit the shape of whatever skin they crawl into and the slime that is produced on thier exoskeleton holds the skin into place. Thier ability to adapt into a new shape is truly astounding, as Skinwalkers will appear just like thier victim, save for thier eye color. They will have the same functioning limbs and external organs as the victim, and even have access to any physical powers the creature had (there are a few exceptions, however, such as telepathy). Skinwalkers even have the ability to mimic thier victim's voice perfectly. Even thier taste in food is passed over to the Skinwalker. However, while Skinwalkers are technically omnivores, they are carnivorous and blood thirsty in nature.
While it is extremely rare to find a Skinwalker out of its skin, Skinwalkers are unbelievably fast outside thier skin, able to scale walls, project the same sticky slime that holds thier skin in place and are unatually flexible. Thier long tail can be used as a deadly weapon, as the end has an almost blade-like quality to it. Full grown Skinwalkers generally stand at about 7 feet in height, standing up straight.
Skinwalkers are a demi-free race, unable to reproduce with any but thier own kind. The Skinwalker race, however, has no sort of customs, no sort of community where many live together. They are completely scattered about, and don't even reveal themselves to eachother. They have good reason to hide themselves from thier own kind; Skinwalkers commonly practice cannibalism, and deadly territorial fights are also not a rarity. In order to keep thier population in check, Skinwalkers will often violently rape thier own kind. Still, the Skinwalker race as a rather small population. Survival rate for young Skinwalkers is significantly low, as the parents do very little to ensure thier children's safety. Skinwalker children are responsible for finding thier own skin whenever the mother feels like dumping them off. If they are unable to adapt in a proper skin, it is likely they will die in the enviornment, as there are very few habitats in which Skinwalkers can survive without skin, or be hunted by slayers, exorcists, other carnivorous creatures or even thier own kind, who consider Skinwalker children a delecacy.
There is much unknown about this race, as there have been none cooperative or civil enough to bother sharing any information about this race's history or culture. Skinwalkers are regarded as a savage parasite amoung the supernatural community, and are generally looked upon with disgust.
