Desmond felt so alive, after all this time he had grown so attached to Donatella, and it kept growing...
"well, they tormented me during my brief time in a foster home, we went to the same areas and they generally hated me, but I guess I got my own back..." he didn't say it in pride as someone would expect but in respect, it was still a group of dead people.
"and by the way, i haven't just honed destructive powers" he smiled to her, as he walked he looked up into the glistening tree tops, closing his eyes he calmly breathed in.

Donatella wondered how he could feel calm after what he did but she came to the conclusion of justification. She had felt no remorse, or mercy when she did what she had to do to get Desmond back, in her mind it was justified. Donatella decided to let it go, he did what he needed to, and their death's were brief. 'Mother Mary, I pray that those men shall see a glimpse of you and your precious son before their eternal fate is decided.' She prayed silently. "Then what else have you honed?" She asked, speaking alowed what he had set up to be a question her curiocity would have to ask.

Desmond held out his hand to Donatella.
"Telekinesis..." a grouping of snow formed near Donatella, gracefully whisps of snow combined, joining so intricately snowflake laid upon snowflake, creating a myriad of lines of snow, and then it began to take shape, first legs, then hips, then stomach, then chest, then arms and shoulders, and finally, the head, he had crafted a snow replica of Companion.
"how's..that?" he asked, smiling as he quickly made an object out of snow behind him with telekinesis.

"Oh my, it's identicle!" Donatella exclamed, resting her hand on the scruff of the snow dog. Companion curiously tilted his head and barked once or twice. "It's you silly." She said, stroaking the ground where Companion's head was. It was almost like spring where the snow had been melting so you could see the ground but the mound of snow where you once had built a snowman. Donatella stood and pulled her scarf closer so to not let a draft through her clothing. "When did you get the time to practice all of this? Howard and i saw you all day, every day..."

"Did you see me at night?" Desmond grinned, he finished formulating the creation, and he held it out, an icicle snowflake.
"Donatella, can we go for a walk down here for a sec? I want to tell you something..." he sounded nervous, as he began walking he held the snowflake like a ninja star, twirling it between two fingers.

Howard had come to a conclusion.
" we have to go 'there'" he said pointing at his map, after dinner he would announce his plan"

Donatella though her fits of trying to sleep and being halfway there had always thought it was storming outside, not Desmond training. "So that's why you looked so tired..." She said. Donatella followed him down, feeling what was about to happen, on edge wondering if she was right. "I-i don't see the difference of being down here or up there." she said, keeping her eyes from Desmond's. She balled up her hands and put them in her jacket pockets. Companion sat defiantly at Donatella's feet, eyes sharp and twinkling at Desmond.

"I..."
Desmond began, but it seemed an impossible feat, how could he wipe several people from the face of the earth and not be able to say three words.
"'like'...." by now he was incredibly nervous, his heart was pounding, he exhaled slowly and felt a cold rush.
"N..never mind.." he sighed falling to his knees, looking down at a frozen stream.
'why?...' he thought in his head.

Donatella knew what he had wanted to say, and she knew she had no answer for him. It both relieved her and pained her that he couldn't say it. Sence and doubt ate away at her thoughts. Her hazel eyes glinted gold in the reflection of the leaves, Desmond looked so defeated and it made her feel helpless once again. Donatella couldn't help this situation yet, only make it worse. The frozen river was only slightly frozen. The two could hear the water babbling at the place where the land dipped and rocks jutted out of the ground.

Donatella bent down beside Desmond and rolled up her right sleeve. Silently she pressed the thin ice with an open hand untill it cracked. The water was so cold the temperatire seeped into her bones on contact. Donatella eased her hand into the river and felt allong the bottom untill she found a snail. She pulled it out of the water and put it in desmond's hands witch she had made him cup for her. "I like autumn, for many reasons. The colours are beautiful, the air is crisp." Donatella made sure Desmond was listening. "But most of all because it's short. Such a breathtaking season, but it's all the more beautiful because in it's brief time of being here it has an unspoken magic to it. You just have to be quiet and watch it, burn it into your memory. Even this snale can see that, and it knows to enjoy each an every moment of life. Sometimes the best thing to do is be silent and enjoy." Donatella finished, hoping that she gave him some peace for not being able to say anything, it certainly made her feel more realeaved.

"Now, before this little guy dies of suffocation, lets put him back." She said, picking the snail up and placing him back on his rock in the icy water. Donatella dried her hand on her pants and spulled her sleave down. Her glove went on after that.

Desmond had already figured out what she would of done from her first expression to his idiocy, he was hurt so deeply inside but he shrugged it off on the outside.
"Yeah..." he stood up, detecting something wrong, what was it?..
"We should head back..." he seemed soulless, not because of what Donatella said but because....because...what the hell was it?....
'You should of kept your mouth shut' a voice whispered in his head.
"Come on, lets go" he began walking straight away, closing his eyes he used his telekinesis to move the branches away as he walked dead toward the house.

Howard saw something happening in the forest, tree's, moving? that is not normal...
"Well, time to purge whatever is attacking us this time" he clicked his fingers and his Raven appeared, it transformed into a gun with a ravens head at the end of the barrel, aiming it he fired one bullet at the ruffling trees, suddenly it grew, larger the bullet flamed, and suddenly it slowly began soaring at the tree's.

Donatella wanted to say she was sorry, but the words were caught in her vocal chords so she said nothing. Donatella got up and began to follow Desmond. "Companion?" She whispered, making sure her eternal friend was by her side. The shadow dog growled at what was unknown to her. Desmond's almost confession shoock her world a bit, she was numb to the impending danger. "Companion, be my eyes." She cooed to the dog, knowing that their connection was the strongest. He understood and his shadow advanced ahed of her, staying atached at her feet. "What do you think-" Donatella was cut off by something flaming, flying out at the trees. "Holy!"
