Pokemon: The Elite. Revival OOC

Good To Go.

Yes, another Pokemon RP. And a Revival to boot! I won't promise this to be more amazing than others, but I do promise quite a few in depth Pokemon battles. I've worked out two ways for the story to work:

1. The entire Pokemon world has decided to have a new Elite group for Pokemon Trainers to become masters fighting. However, this new group will be a total of 8, calling them the Elite Eight, EE, or E8. To decide who will be in the Elite Eight there will be a tournament of 16 people, each with a team of one type of Pokemon. There is just enough for this to work, which is great. There will be NO repeats. If someone else got Ice, then you have to choose something else if that's what you want. There are very few team exception that I would allow to the type teams unless I can we swindled in less than two posts (As I HATE the people that continue to try to annoy a GM).

2. The new twist for this RP is a new element in fighting. First, before the battle starts you and your opponent will agree to either a one on one, two on two, or three on three battle. You will use all six Pokemon no matter what in the battle, but have more than one Pokemon out at once can make the battle quicker, more detailed, and more interesting.

Second, every Pokemon must be fully evolved (Unless I can be sold on the reason again) and can know up to 6 moves. Fly and Surf and others like those won't be considered using an attack, just a natural ability, unless they use them as an attack. If they are swimming/surfing, its different from if they use the attack Surf. Pokemon with wings or the ability to fly can soar through the air, but they may not attack with Fly. Flash will let a pokemon light up a dark cave or deep underwater to help vision, but they may not want to use Flash the attack.

Third, these will be in depth battles on changing battlefields. Sometimes in your favor, sometimes not. I'm picking them at random, so please don't bitch me out for it.

Forth, There will only be a certain number of people in this RP involved and I'll play the NPCs that you battle/People can make a second character that will lose. I'll just use characters that already exist, such as Koga and Lt. Surge.

Fifth, there will be another element. It's called a Fuze attack. You will be given a gauntlet that will be designed in your own Type way, be descriptive with it. In every battle, you will have 8 Fuze Points, or FPs. With these each point you can combine an extra move with a move you are already using.

For Example:
For Venasaur, you could use one FP to combin Hyperbeam and Solarbeam. Using these two would let Venasaur fire Hyperbeam during the first turn while Solarbeam is powering up. It would be stunned for a shorter amount of time and then would use Solar beam.
Another example would be Emboar. Using 2 points, Emboar can Bulk Up, then use Overheat and Head Smash to become and even more devastating move.
I will ask you to describe what happens and give the new attack a name, just for fun. Make sure to use obvious physics when doing this. Say these two Pokemon battled and used the FPs. The two beams would slow down Emboars charge quite a bit, but the attack would most likely hit and K.O. the large and slow Venusaur, especially including type weakness.

History: Her family lives in Azalea Town, the place where her father conducted scientific experiments with Pokémon and types and elements and such. Her mother used to be the Gym Leader for a period of time before she surrendered her spot for the younger trainer with a smile. She now tends to Pokémon and helps breed and heal them. Her brother set off on an adventure two years before Rachel and is heard of very seldom.

She grew up beside her father, watching him watch trainer battles and would stay up late to read his findings and research, finding it fascinating while actually understanding it. They ended up working together and eventually moved to watching Rachel fight her own battles as her father didn’t care to own any himself. Through this, she learned of the many types and their weaknesses and strengths and learned to exploit them.

She noticed how Bug-type Pokémon were especially weak and not prized by many trainers throughout the land and felt bad for them. She grew up around these creatures and loved them more than anything and became dedicated to prove their worth. She went out into the various regions, collecting badges and even entering contests. She won many events but doesn’t bother to carry around with her the trinkets presented to her. They lay in a drawer in her desk at home. Now she travels around in search of strong trainers and teach them the truth about Pokémon training. It’s about the trainer looking past the barriers Pokémon may face to push through weaknesses in order to obtain victory.
Why she deserves to be an Elite Eight: She believes herself to be a master tactician and more educated than most. Other than the fact she also believes herself to be the best Bug-Type trainer in the world and is dedicated to prove their strength to everyone.

History: He is the oldest of his brothers and sisters but has rarely been home to show off any kind of familial feelings to them. His siblings are usually happy whenever he returns home but when he brought the news of entering the Elite Eight Challenge, they weren't fill with joy. They knew this would keep him away from them for even longer periods of time. But what they don't know was that Khris was planning to spend even more time home, having missed them greatly.

He doesn't show this, though, and will often act annoyed to be in their presence. He lacks the ability to show emotion which threw his Pokemon for a loop when he would first get them but now they understand how he is and know he loves them. His parents don't care much for Pokemon and never bothered to become trainers themselves. They just work around the city like normal folk and didn't care much for one of their children expressing a liking toward Pokemon. However, they embraced this and gave their oldest son a Smoochum for his 10th birthday and sent him out to fight with his new companion.

Since then, he's struggled to beat even regular trainers. He thought it was his Pokemon not being strong enough, but once he conversed with them, he realized it was his own lack of apparent passion. They got through this hurdle and it became less of a struggle to beat Gym Leaders across the world. However, he was able to obtain almost all of the badges after at least a month at each gym, fighting and training and learning how to become better.
Why he deserves to be an Elite Eight: After struggling so hard through his young life to become strong, he finally challenged the Elite Four successfully. He learned much about himself and his relationship with Pokemon. They are a force to be reckoned with and have a deep understanding of each other and fight for each other. He needs to prove himself to all those early in his journey that he's not weak.

Personality: Quite likable and personable. He enjoys a good laugh but is terrible at telling jokes but will to settle awkward silences. It's hard to anger him but when pushed, he can explode. This hasn't happened in years, however.
During Pokemon battles, he is unusually light-hearted and doesn't seem fazed by his team getting hurt but praises them satisfactorily. He tends to make comments and will laugh at the naivety of the opponent's decisions against his team. He can insult someone right out and not really notice or he'll just not care. This is odd as he'll always be smiling so it may come across as sarcasm to the nicer folk.
Relatives:
History: He started his life as the only child of a couple who had nothing to do with Pokemon. They worked in the Dept. Store while he attended regular school. The kids would bring their Pokemon and he would watch in awe as the trainer and Pokemon would interact. This could only go on so long before he began begging his parents for his own Pokemon. He would study books and look through catalogs to find his favorite one. Soon, his house was covered in pictures of Gastly and he would draw the creature and write its name over everything he owned. It was almost an obsession of his before his 10th Birthday and his parents gave him a Gastly a citizen from the City bred.

He was soon off on his adventure that went through as any normal adventure would. But then his Gastly evolved. This was sudden, within the year. He didn't fully understand what was going on so he allowed it to take place. Once it evolved he cried. The image he'd coveted his whole childhood would be marred by this Haunter. And then he learned of its Evolution process. It would never be the Gastly he once loved, but after several therapeutic sessions between himself and Haunter, he learned to accept the creature. Until then, he'd never caught another Pokemon but was still able to obtain 5 badges with only his Haunter.

He'd learned of the nature of Ghost Pokemon by now and could easily exploit it against these trainers. However, the 6th Gym Leader at that time was very knowledgeable and knew of the weaknesses of Ghost-types that Brutus didn't know how to counter-attack. He'd spent close to a full year training and studying to defeat this one Gym Leader. And once he did, he blew through the last two and made his way to the Pokemon League.

With only 6 Pokemon caught during his entire journey, Haunter was his ace. A 'pure' ace if nothing else as his other Pokemon were not well trained at all and merely place-holders at the time. The party members resented him and eventually left of their own will and left Brutus to forfeit the rest of the League. So he then traveled the other lands, amassing every badge and his perfect team of Ghost-type Pokemon. During this time, he'd found a way to evolve his Haunter but their relationship waned for a while after.

Once he returned to the League, the challenge wasn't there. He easily surpassed all and obtained the title 'Champion.' With much more experiences, his knowledge grew as did the connection between himself and his team.
Why she deserves to be an Elite Eight: Though he is not a master tactician, he has the determination to win. He's accumulated the badges of all the regions in record time and proves to be a worthy opponent to any who seek to challenge him. He's also well-liked with many connections.

Personality: Eiserne rarely talks to others and almost never tells anyone what she feels or thinks. She hardly makes friends due to this and her odd habits, which are something most wouldn't see or want to see every day. Eiserne has a soft spot, but is painful to love someone to her. Despite all this, she cares for her family dearly. One of the only things she can appreciate and talk to are Pokemons. She loves them and does her best to understand them.

History: Eiserne comes from a family with close connection to Pokemon. Her father was a Pokemon Researcher working for Professor Birch, her mother was a Pokemon Breeder and her eldest sister was a Pokemon Coordinator. Exposed to Pokemon since her childhood, she quickly grew fond of them and thought of the ones with her as family members. However, due to her wealthy family, refined upbringing and lack of Pokemon partner, she was a subject to bullying when she was young. Her quirky habits and love for Flying-Type Pokemons didn’t help either, as most children in her hometown consider Flying-Type and Bug-Type as being weak. Still, it didn’t dampen her spirit and she secretly held the hope that she would receive her Pokemon partner someday.

One day, she and her younger sister were gifted Pokemon Eggs by their eldest sister and mother. A Tailow hatched from her Egg and Eiserne was attached to her ever since. She went out with her, studied with her, battled with her and slept with her every night. Sometime after, Eiserne’s bullies confronted her and her Tailow. Despite being heavily outnumbered, Tailow’s agility and swiftness not only won the battle for her but also allowed her Pokemon to evolve into Swellow.

Eiserne’s happy time didn’t last long. The night of her sixteenth birthday, she was waiting for her parents and eldest sister to return home and celebrate with her younger sister when she received news that the ship her parents and sister boarded had sunk on its voyage back from Sinnoh. The sudden death of most of her family members right on her most important date left a scar on her sanity, especially since she had promised her eldest sister to show her how the Tailow she gave her had evolved and grown stronger. Orphaned and emotionally traumatized, she and her sister left their mansion in Slateport City and started their journey together. She was, at first, reluctant to take her younger sister with her, but her persistence and determination won over her and the two stayed close ever since.

Why she deserves to be an Elite Eight: Eiserne wants to show everyone that age isn’t always an accurate beacon of skill. She has calm, yet fiery passion for Pokemons and a constant determination to differentiate herself from other Pokemon Trainers

Personality: Kleine is kind and friendly. Being much more open compared to her sister, she behaves with a childish innocence and is abound with curiosity. Due to her young age, she can be slightly naïve and gullible, but she isn’t afraid to lend a helping hand. Kleine loves to have fun and is sometimes prone to pulling a little mischief here and there, landing her into troubles she has to be bailed out of.

History: Kleine comes from a family with close connection to Pokemon. She started by rescuing a Magikarp that was stranded on the beach and returning the Pokemon back to the ocean. One day, she and her sister were gifted Pokemon Eggs by their eldest sister and mother. A Wooper hatched from her Egg and quickly bonded with Kleine. They two were inseparable and one wouldn’t be seen without the other.

During her sister’s sixteenth birthday, Kleine and her Wooper were setting up the table for the birthday party when she heard her sister crying in her room. Peeking into the bedroom, the two saw her sister on the floor crying and sobbing while their butler tried his best to console her. When she tried to come in and see what had happened, one of the house’s maids stopped her and told her with a sad smile, that the ship her parents and eldest sister boarded had sunk on its voyage back from Sinnoh. Kleine couldn’t understand much, but she realized one thing: her parents and eldest sister wouldn’t go back home anymore.

A month after the funeral of her family, her sister announced her plan to leave the mansion and travel on her own. Kleine insisted on coming with her, telling her that she would bring Wooper with her in hopes of being able to be with her remaining family member. Reluctant at first, Kleine was finally allowed to come with her.

Why she deserves to be an Elite Eight: Kleine knows she isn’t the most experienced out there, but she wants to learn more about what being a Pokemon Trainer is all about. She has a strong drive to constantly train and improve herself and a determination to raise Pokemons not by their powers or strength, but as what they are.

At a young age, Kade was rushing home and away from the busy streets down a dark alley. collapsed and fainted near the ground was a magnemite which he realized was hurt. Rushing it to the pokemon centre, he hoped for its safety. Upon hearing the news of its wellbeing he was relieved, and went home. the following day he went back to check on the magnemite, and when he tried to release it, it came back to him. he tried several times, but it kept returning. since then, he trained it and became friends with it.

At the age of 10, he chose to set out for his pokemon journey with a different goal in mind than most: to train electric type pokemon and live off of the land with them. He spent a year in the chargestone cave at only 12where he lived off of the rare mushrooms and life that grew in the charged boundaries, cooking his food with electricity. here he met Paratic and tarantello, his Eelektross and Galvantula respectively.

continuing on the path of cities north, he met Squire, his emolga, and Mono, his zebstrika. He trained to fight well against ground type pokemon as he travelled further northwest, and eventually met his stunfisk, Flo. He met it and bested it with Magnezone, catching it. He continued through past the pokemon league to visit his grandparents at the age of 15. once he finally circled around unova, finishing in the white forest, he chose to take a plane to the caves of johto and kanto, where he proved himself against many ground type trainers. after hearing about the Elite 8 on his way to hoenn, he from there trained only a bit before heading out to the location.

Why He/She deserves to be an Elite Eight:
He deserves this position because he treats his pokemon as equals, putting himself through what they go through. He acts like the pokemon he has trained, living in their environment, and trusting them. he is still civilized, and has come to treat every opponent as greater than himself, because then victory is all the more rewarding. Also, he has set this goal because he has become in sync with his pokemon, trusting every decision they make if they disobey his commands

Other:
to train himself, he regularly gets himself to be electrified mildly until his body adjusts, slowly increasing in strength. after this training is done, he believes he thinks more clearly, his body runs more freely, and generally works better.

Personality: In direct opposition to the stereotypes regarding most Fire-Type Specialists, Ignatius is actually level-headed and calm, rarely letting his emotions get the better of him.

However, in times where they di get the better of him, he makes most Fire-Type Specialists look like Ice -Type Specialists with how overdramatic, hot blooded and crazy he gets.

Other than that, he has a somewhat paternal disposition, having a fondness for children (No, he is not a PedoTeddiursa. Stop asking!)

History: Ignatius was born in Lavaridge Town, to a family with history overseas in Unova. Said family was quite well-to-do and stable, with them running one of the many hotsprings that peppered the area.

When he was 9, his paternal grandfather, a Pokemon Ranger, visited Ignatius and his family while overseas from Unova. This was the point at which the young boy obtained his first Pokemon, finding a Larvesta Egg while helping his grandfather unpack, which he took a keen interest in. One thing led to another, and he obtained his first Pokemon.

Shortly afterwards, he left Lavaridge on his journey as a novice trainer, his trusty Larvesta, by which point he had named Uriel, by his side.

Now, after 20 years active as a Pokemon Trainer, with many a badge in his collection, he’s ready to go that one step further, and step up to the grill: Apply for the Elite Eight

Why He deserves to be an Elite Eight:
As noted above, Ignatius has 20 Years’ experience as a trainer of Fire-Types. He knows what they’re capable of, and can more than prove it.
On top of that, he has a desire to see other up-and coming trainers rise to the challenges set by those that came before them, and engage those who outdo themselves on the field of battle.
