16 - Appears and IS. She is a VERY new addition to the royal siblings, with quite an aptitude for magic.
This girl is a fair and somewhat short girl of the royal siblings. She has a small, almost childish build, 150 cm / 5 feet tall and quite frail. On the trump cards Lara will be wearing a certain expensive purple dress which ends before her knees. Behind her two half-cape pieces of cloth hang behind her. The entire garment of purple is specked with pink frills and small ribbons everywhere around it. Her long white hair will be ordered into several tails using purple ribbons. On her head she’ll be wearing a little hat, because she likes that hat. In her clutches Lara will be holding a pink little stuffed animal, with no real description other than it having arms, legs a head and a torso as well as small ears sticking out in an animal kind of way.
(Will you dislike me if I say I used an anime image for reference?)
Edit - Um, is that image wearing glasses? If she is, I didn't notice it before now. Well. Lara's not wearing glasses. That I can say for sure.
Mother, and your formative childhood experiences:
The mother of Lara was a servant at the palace that the king pulled to himself because he found her to be rather pretty and needed a change for a little while. This was, though, actually a plan from the maid’s part. It was a part of her plan to get pregnant with the king and deliver a prince or princess to secure power for herself. Of course, she’d turn more powerful if the princess was the one to get the throne, but she didn’t put too much pressure on that. The maid helped raise the daughter to make sure she learned all the proper things and so.
Unfortunately for said mother, things didn’t go that well after that. The king quickly bored of her, and left her to her own devices. After some dreadful performances as a maid, she only remained because of her daughter. But at the age of eight… even the daughter discarded her, and she was forced to leave the palace.
Before said age of eight, Lara lived what would possibly be called a normal life in the palace. Raised and taught the different things needed, she quickly learned how to “play” extensively with outer powers, that is to say magic. After having learned enough magic, the daughter didn’t need her mother to provide for her anymore, and seeing the lack of use Lara discarded her own mother. It was after that the girl decided to play around with her siblings…
Merely because she felt like it, Lara started sending assassins on her siblings using obscure sources outside the palace using magic to keep her true identity safe. Of course, such a task was foolhardy, and many turned down the request to kill those demi-gods. But there were always those confident or stupid enough to accept. A while after, most siblings of Lara should have been attacked at least once. She even sent some after herself at a time to feel the excitement of being hunted, though she destroyed them pretty easily.
Having hidden herself behind an aura of childishness, Lara has become more mature than she appears. She’s intelligent, mature and by all means capable of defending herself. But due to her childish demeanor which leaked up to an age where most her siblings had discarded this, Lara has gained a definite reputation from her appealingly carefree way of life. And then there is the fact she’s still alive…
Self-confident, stubborn and slightly insane. Lara easily closes herself off, but she is also quick to accept others. This one girl can be subject to paranoia, understandable in a world where all your siblings might attempt to kill you, but she can come past that. She can easily converse with people, and in such conversations her inner maturity and intelligence could easily shine through if Lara’s not careful. She’s knowledgeable, and has shown proof of this in studies and stranger situations. Lara is also curious on the other members of her family, and often pursues them to their world to play… or other things. Sometimes, if someone is about to do something really stupid Lara will not be able to keep herself from resisting from interfering. She appears to be a kind little girl that likes to help people and just simply be nice to people.
Also, she might be a slight sadist, or an scheming trickster. But she'll mostly only show her dolls this. Though, that might be practice for the real thing...
Relationship with various family members:
Lara is often at random parties and other events that might take place. She also has the uncanny habit for pursuing others into their shadow worlds because she is curious on what they are doing, with varying success depending on who she's following. However, at other times when others might seek her, she has uncomfortably often stuffed herself into her own room playing with her own dolls, not allowing anyone in. This combined should earn her talking-space to most siblings that doesn't reject her, yet she is unreachable to get all to close to because the only things she keeps that close to herself is her own dolls. She appears like a kind little girl, after all.
A few siblings might have realized she's been sending assassins on her siblings considering how recently those assassins have been showing up. Also, those who have seen the state of her room... torn stuffed animals and destroyed toys everywhere... might have left with a slightly different impression on her. As such, there may be those siblings who are very wary of her...
On specific family-members
: Lara has done her usual batch of interest checks towards big lank brother (checking if she can approach him, attempt pursuing him into the shadows, send assassins on him to test him out) and has found she has been able to reach a satisfying level of speaking-terms.
: Lara and Thorn had never met before he arrived for the funeral. On the other hand, the usual interest check and the small conversation they shared in the palace resulted in Lara becoming quite wary of big stranger brother...
: The youngest sister has never met big mysterious sister before. On the other hand, she has heard about big sis. Due to respect for the rumor about her sister, Lara hasn't done the usual interest check on Narikana (she's afraid something would go wrong). A more honest curiosity has arisen past the wicked curiosity she usually shows. Lara would very much like to meet her eldest sister somehow...
: Big strong sis has been paying a lot of attention to Lara. Of course, Lara doesn't mind at all. Big strong sis is so nice. They're like real sisters. They are really, but things are weird in this family, really. Big strong sis escaped needing an interest check, Lara knows what she's capable of even without it.
: Big happy/nice/royal brother (she has not decided on one way of calling him, though the last one is used exceedingly rarely) is a nice brother. He's been helping to teach Lara a few things between the times, and she visits him every now and then. Of course, he hasn't avoided being target of an interest check.
: Due to certain incidents concerning tricks and other things, Lara and big masked brother has a slight history of one playing tricks on the other while the other retaliates. But they appear to be having so much fun doing this so who knows if it is a real sibling-quarrel or just... playing around...
: Big bow brother is nice enough. Lara has made her usual interest check, going and talking, attempt to pursue into shadow world, send a few assassins at the optimum moment to see what happens. Overall, no specific amount or special kind of attention has been shared between the two.
: Lara is deathly afraid of her eldest brother. The reasons for this are many. She avoids him regularly, stutters and flinches whenever he talks to her, and cannot stand up to his requests at all. She holds a deep respect for big big brother, and something makes her plenty afraid of him despite the niceness he's shown her. For obvious reasons, Lara has not sent an interest check after her big big brother. She's afraid he'd backtrack her and punish her.
: Lara has been seen speaking to big beauty brother regularly, and they appear to have a nice healthy relationship. As normal a relationship as Lara could have with a big brother, she's been asking him questions, attempting following him around and sent assassins after him.
Where you spend your time:
Mostly, Lara simply spends all her time in the palace, playing with stuffed animals or other things. However, there are occasions where she walks into the shadow realms. This is mostly to pursue her siblings out of pure curiosity, but sometimes she finds herself lost. Not lost as in that she can’t find her way back, but lost exactly where she wants herself to be lost. Most commonly great magical worlds that make little sense is her target, where beings live that would die because of their physical existence being impossible. Oversized weird beings -seemingly coming from a child’s dreams, maybe Lara has found the definite route to Wonderland?
Since Lara is so young, she's had yet to have any serious impact on any of those worlds. The beings within her personal Wonderland sees her as a powerful fairy, one worth being protected. Be careful should you attempt to seek Lara when she has wandered into her Wonderland. Because nothing here makes sense, and to seek an audition with the Fairy Princess will attract the eyes of many within these worlds. Though, she is most often in her own room or somewhere else in the palace. It isn't that often one needs to find her within this... weird place.
Quick at reading, quick at talking, quick at casting spells. Lara never trained her body excessively, but she did however practice her magic in order to be capable of defending herself against power-hungry siblings. She’s also knowledgeable, meaning she knows several things about several worlds that she’s read about when studying and she’s quite capable of mixing something explosive or poisonous up. Also, she should have a fairly good idea about the political situation and what some things might mean for the world as a whole. Though, she cannot possibly know as much as some thousand-year old siblings might. Her "intelligence" stat is not necessarily her "amount of knowledge" stat.
Compared to her siblings, she's mostly very, very frail. But she has other things to weight that up.
Lara keeps with her a healthy amount of magic-sensitive stiletto’s she created for herself (with magic). These can be imbued with magic and launched as projectiles and returned as necessary. Also among her magic equipment is a collection of dolls which she can imbue with magic to do things for her, and some more dangerous larger armored and equipped dolls she can summon can also fight for her, controlling them using her magic. She can also send out her little animals to scout for her. If allowed to, Lara can control other people using her puppeteer skills, but this only works well on people who are not siblings unless the person is willing (or has no will).
Because of paranoia on being attacked, Lara has a magical shield designed to activate upon her being ambushed. It isn’t all that strong, but it might be able to save her life if it slows an attack down for even an instant. A purple shield that erupts from her to attempt to stop an attacker. Not that strong. Lara also keeps quite a collection of magic projectiles in great sizes, and she can deconstruct things to give her the matter she needs to create projectiles. Also, Lara can manipulate objects to make them more susceptible to her magical powers. But that takes a while to do.
Of course, Lara also carries a wide array of spells of varying effects, it would be impossible to list them all. But she prefers her dark energy and puppeteer magic. She also often uses spells which contain sound (keeping things secret is important here) or manipulate light to fake illusions, but those illusions are easily seen through by siblings with even meager intelligence or finesse. They are mainly for other people who are not siblings.
