background's up.
MDK: As long as he can be deformed by any church, you have my approval. You can think of it as "he's not worthy until his task is done".

Couldn't find a picture for the life of me.
Name: Robert McGrav
Age: 25+
Occupation: Deals in potions, secrets and spells
Height: 6'2
Body Type: Tall\Lanky
Appearance: Robert is a character in his own league. If you have ever heard a word spoken about him then you can identify him from the rumors alone. His hair is a very tired, slouching mowhak of thick white hair. His face is slim and sharply angled. The easiest way to describe it really is to compare it to a knife. Rob is tall and thin, his hands large and the long fingers resemble spider legs. He is heavily tattooed, from the soles of his feet to the very top of his neck he is completely covered in ink and you are a happier person if you don't inspect exactly what the tattoos are of. He dress in snappy clothing. Fine dress shirts, vests and ties and lots of jewelry. His ears, eyebrows and lips are pierced and he wears a ring on every finger.
Personality: Robert is an easy going fellow, very likable despite his rough looks. Everybody is a friend and of course a potential customer. But for the love of god don't trust the man. He is a snake to the core and does whatever he can to turn a profit. So when striking a deal with him you better make sure you got a real good look on the fine print.
Strengths: Magician (5) Well connected (2)
Weaknesses: Wanted man (3) Untrustworthy (2)
Background: Robert McGrav have, for as long as he can remember, been a practitioner of magic in all its shapes and forms and he has always been good at it. Of course when you are a human this is hightly frowned upon and gets you in to more trouble then its worth. That is of course, if you don't use your magic for the greedy needs of others. Rob learned early on in his life that he could sell his magic to those that really wanted it. A love potion here, a spell to summon the ghost of a loved on there. In underground circles he is well known as the man to contact if you want magic on your side or have questions regarding what is going on in the shadows that decent folk flee from.
BLACKSHEEP: Perfect.
I'll be getting an IC up tomorrow! Really excited
ooh. I really really like your character, Black Sheep. Super interesting. Can I assume him and Jasper have done business with each other in the past? I just figure since they're both well connected in the same city, it would make sense. And I'm sure Robert wouldn't mind all the shady things Jasper plans on using the potions on.
And I'm excited too Matt. Already lots of good blood in this rp.
Name: Uriel "Uri" Morgenstern
Age: 27
Occupation: Detective
Height: 6'3''
Physique: Burly and strong, rather imposing. Body is traced through with some pale-white scars and other light-pink ones.
Attire: A loose black greatcoat that hangs heavily over an untucked and dishevelled white button-up shirt. A plain leather belt with no particular buckle holds up a pair of comfortable and equally black trousers. A pitch-black pair of slightly scuffed brogans cover his feet comfortably.
Persona: Despite his appearance, Uriel is well-read and literate, with a hobby for reading off (and sometimes on) the job. Uriel is laid back and charming, with a smile that could kill and a demeanour that makes many envious. He tends to try and mediate a conflict or stay out of it completely, especially if it includes violence, as Uriel follows a more passive nature.
On the job, though, he's serious and stoic. Especially when there's a child involved.
The last time he came face-to-face with a hag, he was suspended from duty for three months.
This is due to a deep-burning anger that lies just beneath the surface of his cool and calm outer shell; there is no obligation for the anger, it's just there, gnawing at him constantly. Over the years, he's trained himself to keep it in check, and rarely ever lets anyone see him with a frown.
Strengths
Ability Aptitude (Lore-master) - Being raised as he was, Uriel was taught, in defined detail, to understand every supernatural enemy he might have faced down to their anatomical structure. He'd spend hours in a day reading in his family's library, studying all forms of preternatural sentience.
Natural Linguist - Uriel was tutored as a child in not only English literacy, but Russian, Latin, Greek, German, Spanish and Japanese. He is fluent in all of these languages.
Unbondable - Due to a secretive mystical procedure placed on him as a child, Uriel is resistant to all effects of preternatural mental-veiling and immune to Domination by vampires and their blood.
Huge Size - They don't call him a gentle giant for nothing. Uriel is large, made up of height and broad shoulders. Although he may not have the physique of a body-builders, his body is bulky and large, with his 6'2'' height making up for it.
Weaknesses
Otherwordly Taint - A side effect of his past. Caused by the spell cast on him as a child, Uriel's eye's constantly change colours and glow, depending on his certain emotion. This can be unnerving to some, hypnotic to others, and down-right abnormal to the rest.
Disturbing Mannerism(s) - Uriel has a... Strange habit. Due to his preternatural abilities of willpower, Uriel's decided that, every once in a while, he'll take a swig of some rank vamp blood as to boost his current physical abilities. Although far and few between, when he takes his "supplement", Uriel isn't the most popular guy around.
Inconvenient Alliance - Being a crack detective doesn't mean you can keep dirt out of your life. Uriel owes his life to a ghoul by the name of Jenkins, a gangly and dirty young man with an intense addiction to vampire blood and Epiphany. Every once in a while, Uriel'll feed him vamp blood under the table in order to keep him away from Epiphany.
Deranged - Violence begets violence. Uri has no qualms about that. Anger is an almost constant factor in Uriel's life, and it's more than a little frustration. He fights every day to contain his rage and forces himself to not snap at just everyone in particular.
Origin: Uriel is a member of the Morgenstern family.
Filled with draconian Dragon slayers and garou hunters, it is a family of prestige and power, respected by many.
Uriel was raised as Morgenstern, but grew to be different.
Leaving home at during his late teens to discover the world, Uriel found his way to Rileist, where no creature has to hide and abnormal coincides with the mundane.
Quickly, he enlisted in the local detective agency and attended the academy, using his skills to become a detective in no time.
Shying away from the fame of his name, Uriel has taken to a more humble lifestyle living downtown with all the street rats and merchants.
It feels like home.

When man has lost all hope, Nature will pay.
EDIT: Changed to a female character to try and balance things out a little...
Name: Ashley Sparr
Age: 25
Occupation: Translator/Case Analyser
Height: 5'4”
Build: A thin figure, she is not without strength, but is absolutely not built for confrontation.
Attire: Seemingly stuck in 1940s America, Ashley wears a white top and neckerchief, along with a pencil skirt and heeled shoes. While not unattractive, her awkward manner and rather backward fashion sense mean people take her more seriously as a professional than a love interest.
Persona: Having resigned herself to a desk job compiling and collating evidence for the local police force, Ashley was recruited by the agency when word of her extraordinary linguistic abilities began to circulate. Able to understand and speak fluently in a huge array of human and non-human languages, Sparr has drawn a lot of unwanted attention to herself; her nervous and awkward manner don't lend themselves well to celebrity status.
This promotion to the frontlines of detective work excites and scares her in almost equal measure. She would never turn down the opportunity, but her lack of combat prowess in a dangerous world ensures that she will try to avoid confrontation. A thoroughly upstanding citizen of Rileist, Sparr will always take the moral high-ground and will react badly if she sees other detectives behaving in what she deems an 'indecent manner'.
Merits:
Code of Honour: Refuses to use illegal methods to gain information. A well-trained officer of the law, Sparr does things by the book.
Concentration: Barking orders at others in their native tongue during a firefight requires a clear head. Thankfully, Sparr can keep her cool in similarly intense situations, and put the needs of others first.
Ability Aptitude (Languages): Sparr's ability to converse in and translate the languages of humans and non-humans alike is now renowned throughout Rileist. Her lack of will with a weapon however, is similarly discussed...
Flaws:
Low Self-Image: Socially awkward around her male peers, and unfortunately very aware of the fact. Her inability to find a boyfriend and her parents' distant manner around her has done little for her confidence. A haircut and a little lipstick would probably go a long way, but who'd even notice, right?
Soft-hearted: Sparr can't stand to see others suffer. Just because they've been labelled a 'criminal', doesn't mean they're beneath being treated with common decency. Her empathy could be held against her by her peers, but in Sparr's eyes, that's their failing, not hers.
Dark Fate: Sparr is going to lose her ability to talk. Everything she has worked for, everything she relies on will one day be taken from her. Even now she finds herself stuttering occasionally, and it's only getting worse. The part of her brain that dictates language is dying. She refuses to go to a hospital and have it confirmed - the thought is painful enough already without making it official - but she knows that her world is collapsing around her, piece by piece.
(I also know that 'Uri' is a linguist, that's why I included non-human languages to give Sparr the edge that would give her purpose in the agency. Let me know if anything needs, changing; I'm not familiar with the WoD stuff...)

I know you are but what am I?
@ Matt: Sweeet <3 Thank you, muchly! Can't wait to see this IC and the mix of crazy people hahaha!
~ And yet, what subtle magic there was in them!
They seemed to be able to give a plastic form to formless things,
and to have a music of their own as sweet as that of viol or lute.
Mere words!
Was there anything so real as words? ~
The IC is UP!
There's going to be TWO groups.
Group ONE: The Bailey Suites Apartment
Victor: Assigned.
Leslie: Assigned.
Gabby: Brother heard about the case and sent Gabby. She actually had a dream and saw the entire Prologue in her dream.
Lucia: Called by Leslie for 'Specialist' help.
Robert: Lived directly below the crime scene.
Group TWO: The Morgue. Reports of a mannequin found at the Bailey Suite crime scene and brought to the morgue for some reason for analysis.
Uri: Language similarities has caused Chief Rosche to make Uri and Ashley temporary partners- this happened with an five a.m. phone call to both.
Ashley: Reports of his expertise being needed in the morgue. Just partnered with Uri.
Jasper: Told by a contact to check out the mannequin at the morgue. Weird shit.
Jean Marqeus: Because of post instability, he can research and help with the body, and analyze crime scene details from the morgue.
