I believe myself to be of an 8/10 skill level, however i have trouble with punctuation at times and i suffer from frequent writer's block causing me to have to post short post's, otherwise i would be in the advanced section, because of the two issues i have i limit myself to casual and free.
(5/10 for captain ivan, i've seen your post's good but short)

I would probably give myself a 7/10. I've done some low casual RPing before joining this, so I'm getting use to more advanced levels. I occasionally have moments where I just can't think of anything to post, so I give a sorta bad post. And also my posting style is sometimes based on who I'm with. If I have a lengthy post to respond to, then I'll generally write more.

I would personally give myself a 6/10. My quality of posts fluxuates, and I tend to omit my character's personality.

After reading some of your past posts, I'm at most going to honestly rate you at 4/10. More time can be put into your posts.

I'll give you a 6-7/10. You write pretty well, from what I've read, but there's something that annoys me about the way that you write. I'm really not sure what it is...

You often get your past and present tenses mixed up which makes your sentences choppy and confusing. If you were to do some basic proofreading before you posted you would easily bump up to a 6. I suggest reading your sentences slowly and aloud to yourself.

< 7/10 I give myself a 7 out of 10. I could use some work with my vocabulary and description.

I;d say 7 or 8 out of ten. From what I observe in the arena tournament,

I think I could make a solid 7. Only one RP on this site so far, but on a good day, I could write up a storm. I also use spellcheck! If you need nore proof on why i'm friggen good at RP'ing, go to the Saints Row site, Forums, Stilwater Stories, and Left Behind(RP).

As for AlphaKoka.... Don't know who you are. (Looks him up on the interwebs...)
Your posts are short, but have some nice detail. 6/10

I am now wishing I could change my vote. I rate myself a 4/10, while I would say my actual roleplaying is good, I have a tendency to get into arguments over technicalities a lot or simply lose interest in roleplays. In the end I'm sort of a roleplay killer, not something I'm particularly proud of. Not to mention my writing skill seems to seriously wax and wane all the time. Not to mention the length and detail of my posts are severely restrained and dependent upon the quality of other roleplayer's posts.

Don't quite know about aMARIKanIshtar, but judging by his writing already on this website and writing in this thread, I'll give him a 7/10, which is the score I give for those of "Par" level. He's not the best writer ever, but it's enjoyable to read for the most part, and that's where it counts.

Edit - I really miss this rp. Someone restart it :<

^ Judging by your post in the Misfits RP with your pink-haired character, I'd say your writing is pretty darn good. It's always better to include reflections and character development, I think you did that well. Don't sell yourself short, you have to be at least 7/10 :P

This thread is interesting, purely because you can see a real range of RP-ing styles. I dunno, I think it's really pretty hard to put a "score" to one's RPing ability. I mean, you have to remember that everyone is a different age and has a different amount of familiarity with the language; some people are more casual about it, others more serious. ^^'

So yeah, I'm hesitant to give myself a score. I have the advantage of being an English Lit. student so I'm very familiar with writing and characterisation. I'd never give someone a 10/10 because there's always room for improvement, whatever your writing level. So I'd say I was an 8/10 or a 9/10. (I hope that doesn't sound arrogant...) Since I'm a GM, I have to be up to scratch.

~ And yet, what subtle magic there was in them!
They seemed to be able to give a plastic form to formless things,
and to have a music of their own as sweet as that of viol or lute.

    Mere words!

Was there anything so real as words? ~
