Jynx didn't have a lot of time to think, but his chaotic nature worked well in these situations, as it seemed almost passive for him to perform moves on a moment's notice. Using the last of Càel's energy, he shifted into Earth stance. /This is gonna hurt/ Suddenly, the ground seemed to explode, as a massive pillar of Earth shot upwards in front of the giant door, causing Jynx to slam into the pillar, sending rocks, the wind, and the Horror flying into the giant gate, and sending Jynx into the ground.
He pulled himself up, Càel's body scratched and bruised and all together messed up. Drawing on his mind, a small dark pillar similar to the others rose from the ground next to Jynx. He placed his left hand on it. As he did so, the details of Càel seemed to fade, being replaced by the true nature of Jynx. His skin was a dusk grey, nearly black. Golden bands wrapped around his arms, and neck, as well as similar earring in his ears, looking nearly as if some kind of Egyptian style. Càel and Jynx had fully switched places, sending him into Jynx's mind.
He stared briefly up at the remaining pillar and the door beyond that, before hearing the explosion of electrical energy behind him. His elemental was done for. Though Jynx didn't really care. It had served it's purpose as a sort of distraction. Jynx turned toward the Devourer, letting a small blob rope like substance fall into his hands. Jynx couldn't help but smile, but it was different.
His whole nature had seemed to change. He was calm and natural. His movements seemed to flow together in constant motion as his body seemed at peace with itself. The nature of a Forsworn spirit was an odd transition. Most spirits would bound to their forsworn go an weird transformation causing them to change dramatically, often being either extremely chaotic or lawful in nature. Even though the bind still connected them, in such a passive state that Càel was in momentarily, Jynx felt oddly free. He suddenly remembered the Giant in the village. "You and your unrighteous ways shall end tonight! May the Forsworn live on!" The giant must have been a spirit. He wondered why he hadn't figured that out earlier. The strange change of pace seemed to clear his mind and he had an understanding of things. The boy must be a Guardian. He was the only other Forsworn there other than that commander. His panic must have released it.
Jynx chuckled as the blob of a rope seemed to stiffen in his hand as he slowly raised it, forming a bow. He knew he had liked that kid for some reason, other than the connection he had through Càel who obviously cared for the boy a great deal. He knew now how he could repay Càel for manipulating him through this battle and nearly killing him.
In one of Jynx's hands, the Pi'Chu he had preciously formed without using was forming into an arrow, though it was much different than before. It's substance represented true void. It was pure and untarnished by the living. Jynx could now take on his true nature as the assassin he once was. The only downside was that he could not manipulate the elements any more. That was Cael's thing, as many Guardians trained in a very different way with the Pi'Chu. It didn't matter though. Jynx now had all he needed. The nature of his attacks held precision and devastation, rather than large and destructive. He owed Càel. He needed to win this fight.
The arrow flashed forward and suddenly split into a volley of devastating arrows, aiming to take the Devourer down. The pure Pi'Chu would cut into the beast, not only draining energy, but dig along it's intended course, separating every part of the beast along it's path. The Devouer was surely done for, and more Pi'Chu sunk into his hands.
/I'll offer you a chance now to surrender my brother in arms. I have a couple companions I must attend to and haste in doing so would be great. However, at any cost, I must win this battle for them. I hope you understand. The time for games is over./ The bow seemed to vanish as a pair of black scimitars replaced it. /Fight me like a true warrior, or walk away. I hold no honor for the general that sends his army to the death instead of fighting himself. Your performance thus far has been disheartening. What will the audience think?/ He said remembering the crowd in the Lobby.
