I also have two Champions from which I can choose. Due to certain items, he can be Leomon, but he can't Digivolve from Leomon, so he has to slide to Liamon to progress to Ultimate.
Liollmon can digivolve first if you want, I've got Razielmon, Sparkmon and Pyrusmon to choose from.

With that attack it looks like Vexxmon's gonna digivolve first XD

Hoo yah. I'll let you know now, It takes something close to tactical genius to beat me. I'm not bragging, or saying I have tactical genius or something, but I've noticed (in other roleplay like battles against my RL friends) that it takes quite a bit of planning to beat me. Of course, the same guy beat me every time, but you get the picture. (And well, there was that one tie, but arodine is hax, otherwise I would have won, and also, one time I sorta gave up. Giant cannon on a dragon's back and all.)
I have tactical ability, being an ex-army cadet and all, fieldcraft was my best area except drill XD
But I know that not every battle can be won, not even by a tactical genius. :P

You've mentioned this.
I see that. I'm just good at getting myself out of pinches. Although playing as Liollmon, I may get myself into them more often.
So I see, running towards a Champion digimon for a full-frontal assault.

To be fair, Critical Bite can inflict major damage to Champions.
Razielmon's a lightning Champion. He's quick. XD

Critical Bite also has a super low effectiveness rating (i.e. easy dodge) so meh.
