Yes, but normal weapons won't be affected by your stats. So at some point a 5+ POW character won't be damaged by your puny sword strike, then it will take your sword away and bend it with its own hands; because physical attacks utilising the body are affected by POW. So take note of that

Probably a stupid question: Can we ever get more/power-up/swap out Weapons/Spells later on in the game?

But a puny sword strike done by a 5+ POW character? Doesn't mean anything?

Shade13 pm'd me the same question. It is entirely possible, but we do not yet know the how and why. Much less the when.

Nope. Simple reason; else we can give rooks every weapon we want towhile bishops still have to work with only 3 spells. Might not make the most realistic explanation, but in terms of gameplay it is the more balanced option.

    Name:Sol Brumik

Appearance: Sol is a tall man of near equal girth, standing at 7' 1” and weighing a hefty 360 lbs. His arms, chest and jaw are all covered with thick black hair, his beard being well kept and only 3 inches in length. The top of his head is barren of the afore mentioned hair, instead having a long, arced scar from the back of his skull to the edge of his right eyebrow. His amber eyes look as if he's squinting, and coupled with his flat, short nose, gives him a rather aggressive appearance. After his recent train excursion, he's also acquired a great deal more scars. His arms look as if he were mauled by a tiger, and his chests sports a few circular scars, with matching ones cross his back.

His apparel usually consists of a finely made black waistcoat with thin white stipes, a small rook insignia located on the chest pocket over his heart. Beneath is a simple white dress shirt with black buttons, the sleeves usually left rolled up just above his muscular forearm. His legwear consists of black slacks, held up with a belt of the same hue, with a golden clasp. His socked feet are covered by heavily worn black dress shoes, as if in contrast with the rest of his well kept outfit. Of course, when working in the kitchen, the man wears a thick white apron over the top of his outfit to keep himself presentable.

Bio: “In the first thirty seconds you meet someone, they will decide everything about you,” Sol had overheard his father say time and time again to those he trained. The words had stuck in Sol's head his whole life. He was always the finely dressed. Always spoke with his head high. Always made sure his outward appearance matched his professionalism. Though he didn't follow his father into the PR department, the man who raised him couldn't have been prouder. His son had a fine career as a chef, enjoyed his job and had found resolve and focus in his spirit. A spirit so strong, it landed him at the Library.

At 27, Sol entered the establishment, quickly ascending through the ranks of the kitchen, not even slowing when his father passed. Sol took only a few days to grieve, then whipped right back to his jovial self. On his 30th birthday, he became the sous-chef for the establishment, his skill still having a ways to go before reaching the position of executive chef. He also was the main choice for being sent out with others on more combat oriented missions given his physical prowess and strength of spirit compared to most the others within the culinary branch.

When assigned to a mission with Steren and Bill to hijack a train of bandits to bring back goods to the library, some...unfortunate events unfolded. The team had already suffered a blow when Bill did not arrive in time to assist in the mission. As luck had it, the bandits knew the group was coming, and had made moves to make sure the team would not be a threat. Sol and Steren were split during a fight, and the chef was unlucky enough to run smack into a trap, where he was promptly escorted from the train under a hail of gunfire. His shield had taken most the blows, though he was still seriously injured. He was lucky enough to find a cave a mile or so down the track to rest and make an attempt to heal up. Over his long stay in the sands, he became a bit more in touch with his spirit, and as such, his weapons have undergone a slight change, as well as his personality.

    Branch:Culinary

    Holder:Rook
    Spirit:http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__...ing_turtle.jpg

A snapping turtle of massive proportions, with deep browns and heavy blacks comprising the tones of his hard flesh and impenetrable shell. Spines run the length of his shell, some scarred by what could be blades wielded by giants, or the talons of some massive bird. His flesh is covered in small spikes, growing shorter and more sparse as they reach down to his feet. Smoke rolls from his hooked jaw with glowering red eyes set deep in the sides of his head. Scars run in every which way along his face and front legs, some even continuing into deep etches at the shell.

    Weapons/Spells:

Slow and Steady - Thanks to Michael and the wonderful R&D section of the Library, Sol has gained the ability to become even more turtle-esque. His body toughens and his strength rises as his quickness falls. Temporarily exchanges Agi for Str, with the additional cost of -2 spirit points per post. At 0 temp spirit, the effect is lost and stats revert to normal. This does not refresh the skill though, meaning that with 4 spirit, he gets 2 posts/turns of enhanced strength per mission/day.

Crushing Bite- His arms are wrapped in plates of the same metal as his armor, though thicker, and his hands are enshrouded in massive gauntlets. The gauntlets are shaped in the form of his spirits head, and can open and snap shut with deadly force. Despite others very much being able to feel the weight of the gauntlets, Sol is unaffected by the weight.
Turtles Maw- Spirits head ornately carved from bronze mounted on the arm, with two cannon barrels extending forth. Fires a shotgun burst simultaneously from each barrel. The weight does not affect Sol, though the knock-back is enough to provide slight propulsion.
Razor Shell- Sol's form is covered by a suit of plate mail, made from an unknown metal with a hue of moss green. The armor is heavy as would be imagined to anyone attempting to move it, though Sol seems unaffected by the weight.

    Name: Kyle Christensen
Appearance: A tall, lanky fellow, described as ‘Spidery’ by his comrades. He stands at 6 foot 3, weighing in around 153 pounds. He appears to be quite gaunt with a slender frame and hollow, boney features. His hair is a bright healthy blond makes a stark and disconcerting contrast to the rest of his gaunt appearance. Often seen wearing red undershirt with a orange jacket with white stripes, he tends to sticks out like a sore thumb. His eyes are a light blue.
    Bio:Coming soon
Branch: Primarily Mercenary but does some specialized work for Research

    Holder: Rook (Born Holder)
Spirit: A Manticore, an cryptic beast with the body of a lion, fur the color of dry, clotted blood, with a human male face, and a tail that could only be described as akin to a scorpions tail. Manticores are known for being cunning hunters, either crying out for help to attract human pry or hiding in the darkness and whispering madness into their heads, either way leading their meal to its doom. Manticores can to fling poisonous spikes from their tail and have three rows of teeth made that seemed to be made of some kind of steel. Their teeth are said to be able to bite through anything. Kyle’s manticor refers to itself as “Vell”.

    Weapons/Spells:
    • Greedy Bow: A grimly designed Bow that is made of bone and fashioned in the style of a manticore’s tail, When Kyle draws on the bow string a bone spike grows from the shaft to work as his arrow, mimicking the way a Manticore flings re-growing spikes from it’s tail.
    • Gasping Breath: He can form a smoke bomb in each hand, each one can produce enough smoke to fill a small room ( say about 15 by 15 foot square area ). This gas is thick and hard to see through, it is poisonous but not lethal unless you are exposed to it for a long time. It will cause eyes to water and sting, as well as fits of coughing. This is used to break up and disorientate groups of enemies to easier get them into one on one fights and is also a handy tool for sneak attacks or retreating. He can only make two bombs every 5 minutes so he can't simple keep lobbing them out non stop.
    • Grinning Death: A item that appears to be a pair of swords ( each about 4 feet long ) one side being blunt and with a pronounced, saw-like teeth on the other side. These saw edge is made of manticore teeth, giving it excellent sharpness. The two blades can be fastened together at the base to form what can only be described as a morbid looking, over sized pair of scissors. This weapon is quite unorthodox, but very effective at causing ripping damage and brutally mangling Kyles victims. When in the scissor cofiguration it is not unheard of for with a quick, clean, clamp on an unarmored foe that limbs are easily rendered, if the foe is armored it is an effective weapon for chiping away at there defenses.
    Skills:none yet Skill points: 3
Stats:No code has to be inserted here.

Not quite done yet, still have to work on the bio and may tweak things later, but I will see if the GM's can find anything wrong with him so far

Looks good so far, Kilt. Let us know when you're done!

Player2; Looks pretty nice man. Just a few small things; while cannons exist (unlike guns) their rate of fire is not very frequent, so while totally plausible they're not spammable. Just confirm you read this (if you're okay with it) and it's fine. Other than that, just put in a few details about the turtle (nice choice of spirit, BTW, reminds me of those bastards in Final Fantasy) in the it's section and all should be fine for me.
