Basically, your armor wouldn't be able to deflect anything that isn't focused on that point if it could then that would be stupid and quite abit of god-moding.
Cross's shielding focused on the weapon itself slowing it down, Cross's foot should have hit a nerve ending in Lyzans ankle to make the attack also slow abit, then before the weapon could even fully hit, which was going slow enough for anyone to really counter, Cross directed where the weapon would go and well you saw the rest.
Oh, and before you say anything. No type of greave back then covered that nerve spot so yeah.
I understand that you'd been spending years teaching RPers how to post battle and not been fighting yourself. It's very obvious. And maybe you've got no time to think up of your character. That's the first reason I hadn't mind you copying my PC sheet probably because I thought you'll be showing me what you can do with them.
But you got to understand how the rules work around here. I assume you should know these stuff since you'd claim yourself to be a teacher, thus why I hadn't brought it up to your attention. At least all the masters should be aware of them. I know we hadn't agreed on any but this match is based on T1 rules, no?
Also, you need to understand how the charging attacks work. If you were to read back, on post #4, Lyzan had already started storing energy to his coiled hand. For the whole of post #6, the energy is still stored and finally on #8 was where he used them. To me, I counted post #6 to be the charging post and not the start at #4 or the delivery at #8. So, your immediate readiness or preparation could only cancel out my #4 post prep but not the whole prep of #6 and the delivery post on #8.
Get back to me on what you think and I'll allow you to edit your post accordingly before I make a reply.
Speaking of which, I'd noticed you've made some editting to your post without my consent as well. Are you aware that in the arena, such things are frown upon. But I understand your situation and shall shut an eye on that. Just don't do it again. If you need to, inform me. ^^
Only thing I did when I edited was fix my spelling. I understand the rules and such, and well I do chat-box fighting more than I have ever done forum based it is quite different on chat-box. I think I do get what you mean by the charged ability, but that doesn't fully explain how I messed up on my end. With the way the charged attack work, it may have speed but movement builds up to speed even if someone per say had nitrous in their car and hit it there is a lurch in the car telling something is up. My character Cross noticed Lyzans lurch if you catch my meaning here. Noticing that he should be able to move and since he can go fast enough to dodge a bullet then he should be able to move enough to stop the blow to the sternum. Not saying he could actually stop any contact itself but a blow in that location is severely not likely giving that he has magic, muscle readiness, top edge hand-eye cordination and is a master taction. These things all go for a proper reflex to move out of the way. Its not like your character was behind my guy, if he was then Cross would have been hit head on. I am sure you should get what I mean.
So, after that, the damage is only a badly bruised skin and slightly on the bone? A pathetic punch, don't you think? Wonder how Lyzan's uncharged punch going to be?
Look, I'm not good at explaining stuff or having the patient to make my point across so I'll just let it be but do know that occasionally, I would ask you to have a say or two with what you think before I continue, just like the few questions above.
Well i'm not trying to be rude to you or get on your bad side. I was slightly rushing through that part I am sorry about that, if you want me to fix things and give me the proper reason for them just say so. If you will let me change up my post I will gladly do so since you have been kind to me so far, I am a nice guy I try to be as fair as possible.
If I ever have any problems I will state them also. I am not trying to make enemies on this site only have fun and let things go with the flow. But do not ever, if you wish for me to remain nice, try and state that I have poor qualifications for a fighting teacher. Insulting is not a good way to go with me. I can take it, doesn't mean I like it.
Having fun is what I'm looking forward to. You can make changes to that post accordingly. There's no need to rush in this duel. We'd no deadline, so do take your time. My tone may sound harsh but I can asure you that I don't mean to belittle you and I have no intention in questioning your qualification as a teacher in the area you teach as well.
It's good to know that you can be reason with. Get back to me when you're done editting so I can work on my reply.
Edit: I'll be posting a reply to this later, anyhow.
