This website was my first ever encounter with full-out RP. I was an accelerated creative writer in school, and thought that it would be fun to write a story with people from all over the world. I started my first RP ever, tossed it into Advanced, expecting it to get overlooked.... but it turns out that it's a huge hit and there are TONS of characters in it all doing their own free-roam thing, whilst we write out these massive posts full of greatness. It's be going very steadily for 3 months, and all of the people devoted to these characters have all gotten really close. We're all from different countries and what not, but we have created a private chat and we use the cams and IMs to talk to each other every day now. It was definitely a great idea and this experience has turned out rather greatly for me. Needless to say, I enjoy it here. I'm not sure if there's a correlation with how long I have been RPing, I just think that it might have to do with my writing skills as well as communication skills

It's difficult for me to say exactly. Strictly speaking, I've been on the site for 2 years, but there was a loooooooong gap between my last failed RP and me returning this year. If we added all my time actually spent here I guess it would be maybe 3 weeks, tops.
Yet oddly I seldom leave Free. Not because I dislike lengthy posts, I just prefer being free from all restrictions, plus it means I don't need to strain myself to make an unneccesarily detailed post. I am in my first one-on-one, and I have to say it is the most enjoyable RP type I've ever had.

I used to Roleplay on a couple other sites quite awhile ago, for about 2 years, then stopped abruptly. Just started at RPG a couple weeks ago, and I play at casual because I like to have some leniency, as some days my posts do not live up to the 3-4 paragraphs I usually write. However, I intend to either create or join an Advanced RP as soon as I am less busy!
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming,
    I can hear them say...

This site is really the first time I've done any RPing, and I joined here about a month ago. I was on another forum where there were a couple of RPs going on, and I requested to join, but they died before I started, so I never got a chance.
Since I'm so new, I tend to focus more on the Free RPs as that's all I'm really comfortable with at the moment. Only now am I really doing a casual RP, but I think if I ever do Advance, it'll be a long while off.

I have roleplayed for 1 or 2 years on the minecraft forums, but the roleplaying became insane. I retreated to here.

My first RPG was on a website called PokeBeach, an RPG named A New Dawn.
Then, on the same site, I made an RPG called Phantom Academy, which was somewhat popular.

Then I continued to join Pokemon based rpgs until the site shut down its games forum a few months ago.

    And now I'm here.

*Thinks* Ok, started RPing at about 14, am now 27...

So 13 years. At least 10 of them at a typically advanced level.

Despite signing up 2 years ago, I was actually only around here for a few weeks before a 2-year hiatus and my fairly recent return. I'm probably between a few weeks and a couple of months.

On the subject of level, I'm pretty sure the small amount of RPing I did when I first joined up here was Free and Casual, although I think most I tried died very quickly. Now, I stick to Casual, simply because it suits me best. I'd try Advanced, but I don't have the time to read the ridiculously long posts and then write one up as well, and personally I prefer more depth than you tend to find in Free.

I begun roleplaying shortly before I tuned 16 years old. I wished for money to buy my first roleplaying books for my 16th birthday, I am now 30 years old so that mean I have been roleplaying both online and tabletop for 14 years now, so I voted 5 plus.

I started playing World of Darkness games over irc, then I met others who roleplayed and started playing table top. I begun playing play by post games with an Ars Magica game way back when and have been playing regularly in various games ever since.

Well I dunno the exact date and time but I know by next month will mark my 11 years in roleplaying. Officially it maybe less than that becuase I've been at it off and on over the years because after High School I had to make a living somehow.
