    Fantasy Description: Dieter's fantasy allow him to hypnotise any creature or simple-minded person, dreamers are considered much more difficult to entrance, who hears a melody he plays. He can make his hypnotic melody using anything that can create a tune. Such as whistling, singing, humming, and playing instruments. Dieter's melodies are limited by the fact that the hypnotic spell is only at it's fullest when playing things that create a 'powerful' melody such as instruments, the strongest melody he can play being on the flute. The stronger the melody the more control over a creature he has and the more creatures he can control at once. For the hypnotism to work Dieter must be playing uninterrupted and the target he has chosen must be able to hear the melody being played. Physical limitations come into play as well as he can only play an instrument for so long before he gets exhausted or runs out of breath.

    Weapon of choice: For creating his hypnotic melodies Dieter prefers to use a violin with the name Annika and a date carved in the back of it. Reluctantly he sometimes uses his most powerful instrument the flute. When hypnotising creatures Dieters favourite creature to control and make use of is rats, their small size and such making them far easier for him to control in large numbers.

    Personality: Dieter has a love for music. His fantasies abilities aside he loves to play music whenever he can. A calm man on the outside but inside he is unbelievable vindictive towards anyone who fails to follow through with a promise or deal they've made with or to him. Because of this Dieter holds a lot of resentment towards Wonderland and the people that run it. Seeing the promise of Wonderland as a sanctuary for his kind as a deal not kept he thinks a lot on ways to dismantle the supposed 'sanctuary' their trapped in.

    History: Dieter was born into a middle-class family, he had a younger sister born three years after him named Annika. The siblings lived in a small house with their parents and grew close with each other at a young age. Dieter's parents seemed like good-samaritans to the outside world but inside their home they turned incredibly abusive towards their two children. Each time they abused the two the mother would act remorseful and apologize to the two promising to never harm the siblings again, the promise quickly forgotten by the next day. As the two grew older they thought up a plan of escaping from their home to live somewhere their parents would never be able to hurt them again and thus as Dieter turned fourteen they ran away from home. Stealing any valuables they could carry and taking any essentials they would need to survive they set out intend on living a better life. Outside their parents home they only found misery as they found themselves quickly the target of violence and pity by those who saw the two beggar children wandering around. The money made from selling the valuables was lost as other beggars robbed them of all their money and supplies. Poor, starving, and homeless they wandered trying to find a way to survive in the world. One day the two children passed a music store and in the display they each saw an instrument that peaked their interest. Dieter found his eyes attracted to a flute he saw on display well Annika saw a violin that she wanted to play. The two decided they wanted to get the instruments no matter what it took and started stealing so they could save up enough money to buy the instruments. Eventually the two children were caught by a elderly man who ran a shop selling a random assortment of nicknack's and souvenirs. The two children made their pleas to try and convince the man to let them go but to no avail. Afraid that he might call the police they were surprised by the alternative he gave them. Rather then reporting the two children that had tried to take his wallet he offered them work at his shop so that they could make the money for the instruments in a more honest way and live much more comfortable with him in his shop. The two, hesitant at first, accepted and started to work for the elderly man for about a year. Throughout the time the elderly man acted kind to the two. Feeding them, taking care of them, giving them a place to live, and paying them for doing random jobs around his store. The elderly man promised them warmth and safety within his home as he helped them save up to pay for the instruments they had seen. But as a year past he started to act more strangely.

    The elderly man started to pay more attention to Annika, paying her more and watching her as she worked more often then not. One day the elderly man led her into his bedroom and started to try and molest her. Dieter being sent out to get things for the store at the time came back to find Annika struggling with the elderly man on top of her and quickly attacked him to try and stop him. The elderly man proved much stronger than Dieter as overpowered him and knocked him to the ground leaving him only partially conscious. Dieter was forced to watch as the elderly man molested her and once he was done he threw the two children back on street with the cash they had earned well working for him. Traumatized the two were left broken, Annika refusing to speak again or let anyone else near her besides Dieter. As they passed the music store again the two still found themselves fascinated by the instruments they had seen and decided to buy them with the money they had saved up. The man that ran the music store took pity on the two children and gave them some musical books on how to play the instruments for free along with the instruments. The two children spent their time practising constantly, the music becoming an escape for them from the trauma's they had endured. Annika showed a talent for the violin well Dieter struggled to play the flute. As the two grew older they started to make enough money to keep themselves fed, hydrated, and clothed by playing their instruments on the street. Annika, being a prodigy with the violin, always making them the money they needed to make it through the day. Three months after the day of the 'The Looking Glass Catastrophe' a then nineteen year old Dieter and his sixteen year old sister Annika were practising their instruments in a park when Annika's hair suddenly turned silver and her eyes a sapphire colour. Chaos ensued quickly as people seeing this occurrence became scared and chased the two away. Despite her change Dieter decided to protect her and thus hide her from the world that was trying to get rid of her. A few months past until the two were caught by a group of men who proceeded to beat her for what she was. Dieter tried to protect her but the group overpowered him and instead decided to play around with the two. Making Dieter play a song for them and if he played the song well they promised to let the two go, a promise Dieter knew they would not keep. Dieter decided to play anyway deciding it was the only thing he could do to try and save Annika. As he played he thought hard about how he wanted to the kill the men, he imagined what he wanted to happen to them, and as he started to play one of the men started to act strangely. Halfway through the song Dieter played all the men started to act strangely and as, if they were puppets on a string, they proceeded to kill each other exactly as Dieter had wanted them to die. Surprised he stopped playing and the only surviving member of the group of men looked at him shocked and horrified. It was then Dieter noticed his hair had turned a silver colour and he had changed into one of them.

    After that incident Dieter and his sister Annika were rounded up and sent off to one of the 'protective facilities' that were erected for dreamers. Quickly they realized this promise of a 'protective facility' for dreamers was nothing but as a lie as they were turned into walking lab experiments and tortured in an attempt to learn their secrets. As five years passed in the facility Annika and Dieter were finally freed from the hell-hole they had been trapped in, scarred from their experiences there they realized they couldn't survive in a world with humans and willingly flocked to the sanctuary promised to them in Wonderland. As time passed there it was obvious to them that this sanctuary was a lie just as much as the last one was. Treated like prisoners the two faced constant persecution at the hands of the Jaeger and the Wardens. The only solace they had was that they were allowed to play their instruments within the city as long as they followed the rules within the prison. Despite acting as model citizens they still found themselves a target of the Jaeger's harassment, unable to do anything about it or face the wrath of the Wardens for doing so. Beaten, broken, and berated constantly by the Jaeger's and Wardens who ruled over the city the siblings survived only through their bond with each other. But all that changed one day as a member of the Jaeger's stopped by their home and apparently 'dissatisfied' with the way Dieter had performed one of the songs he played on his flute the Jaeger beat him mercilessly well Annika watched. Annika eventually could take no more as she attacked the Jaeger to try and protect Dieter from him, only to find herself quickly overpowered by the difference in strength between her and the Jaeger's. For her 'unruly' behaviour Annika was taken to the Warden's and sentenced to death, having a public execution held as a way of showing the occupants of Wonderland what happened to those who fought back against either the Warden's or the Jaeger's. Even in her final moments she said nothing but shook her head at Dieter as if signalling him not to try and save her. Dieter watched the execution unable to do anything to save Annika. He went back to his home preparing to kill himself after watching the death of his younger sister when he was approached by a member of the Tea Party and asked to join them. Without a second thought he joined the group vowing that he would make sure that everyone from the Jaeger's all the way up to the company that had set up Wonderland would pay the debt they owed him and his deceased sister for the false sanctuary they had been forced to suffer in. After that Dieter found Annika's violin and carved her name in the back of it along with the date she had been executed before his eyes.

    Appearance: Jamie stands around 6'3" and weighs around 240lbs when out of his armour. Well toned and muscular after undergoing the genetic modifications that all second Generation Praetorians undergo at a young age. Jamie has a pale complexion brought on by spending most of his time within his Praetorian armour and has one long scar across his right temple that he acquired before his induction into the Praetorian program. Jamie's eyes are a light green shade and his hair, though shaved, is a dark hazelnut colour.

    Personality: Jamie has trouble developing relationships with other people. Suffering from post-dramatic stress disorder since he was a child has led to him being short-tempered and often hypervigilant about his surroundings, looking for threats at all times. Jamie also has an obsessive compulsion to constantly maintain and clean the blades he uses in battle when outside of combat to the point where he needs to make sure that not even a minuscule drop of blood is left to stain the blades. Jamie has a detachment from his emotions that generally makes him appear unfeeling or uninterested to others which has prevented any sort of relationships he could have with others.

    When on the battlefield Jamie's short-tempered behaviour is more prevalent as he can quickly get frustrated and ignore orders to accomplish missions in a way he feels is more appropriate which has led to issues during team-oriented missions. Jamie has a close relationship with his suits AI system Gabriel to the point where he has grown an attachment to the suits AI system as his only companion and enjoys spending most of his time within the suit. Gabriel allowing him a momentary break from his hypervigilancy and providing him with a comfortable sense of security even on the battlefield allowing him to be more efficient on his missions.

    Biography: Jamie Carrington was born into a family that lived on the outskirts of human colonised space. His family along with many of the other families that lived their were disgruntled and resentful towards the Holy Ecclesian Empire that owned them. Their dissatisfaction with the Empire eventually led to a full scale rebellion where the planet attempted to secede from the Empire and become their own independent entity. Once the rebellion started the Empire was quick to respond and the rebels attempted to fight back against the Empire as it tried to stamp the rebellion out before it could become to serious. During the conflict that followed the Empire used artillery fire to bombard the city that Jamie lived in, it being the centre of the rebellions operations, and one of those artillery shells happened to hit Jamie's home. The shell mutilated his parents in front of him and left the, then 5 year old, Jamie in shock as he was blown away from the impact. Jamie tried to make his way to his parents corpses but the weakened structure of the building, caused by the artillery fire, caused into collapse on Jamie knocking him out for a short while. When he came through he managed to crawl out of the rubble with his head bleeding from an injury he had sustained to his temple. He made it only a short distance from his home before collapsing again from the concussion he sustained. Shortly thereafter he was found by a unit of the Holy Ecclesian Empire who took him, along with several other children who survived the invasion, to be apart of the Imperial Praetorian project. After his induction Jamie's psyche 'blacked out' the events of his childhood to limit the amount of trauma he endured from it.

    Upon being inducted in the Imperial Praetorian project many of the kids inducted from Jamie's planet along with Jamie died during the early stages of the project. Jamie though managed to survive the physical toll that came with the genetic modifications and the second generation Praetorian project, though his mental condition unluckily wasn't so resilient. During Jamie's first training scenario he had a mental breakdown, do to flashbacks he incurred during the scenario, and needed to be subdued quickly to prevent him from hurting himself or others during his loss of control. After that the higher ups controlling the Imperial Praetorian project thought about cutting him from the program but continued testing to see if he still couldn't be made fit for doing. Despite that first outburst Jamie managed to excel at his other training missions without another severe outburst like that and started to develop a bond with his suit's AI system. As his bond to his suit's AI system increased so did his efficiency during missions. His bond with his AI system became something akin to a father and son relationship as his AI, Gabriel, soothed the teenage boy's mental state whenever he felt himself getting too unstable. Thus Jamie ended up trusting his Praetorian suit and the AI within it more then he could an actual human being which only furthered to detach him from other living people.

    Jamie would take part in many missions after that, a majority of them being solo missions where he proved to be far more effective. The mission that made him into a fully fledged Praetorian soldier happened to be his second mission and the mission he his most well known for. He was seventeen at the time when Jamie was called into a planet on the middle rim of space where an insurgency had been developed. The rebels on the planet appeared far more well dug in and prepared for the Imperial Armed Forces retaliation than anticipated which led to huge casualties attempting to retake the planet. After an ambush caused a group of Imperial soldiers to be trapped behind enemy lines Jamie was sent in by himself to safely escort them out. Blasting a path through enemy lines he managed to meet up with the regiment and escort them out of the war zone well taking heavy damage himself. This early in Jamie's career he had attempted to use guns when going into combat and during the final push his guns had run out of ammunition leaving Jamie with nothing more then his hands to cut a path through the enemy. It was at that moment Jamie learned how to use his suits generators to effectively turn his hands into something akin to swords with kinetic energy. By the time Jamie had finally escorted the Imperial Regiment to safety he had suffered heavy damage to his suit and his suit's generator reserves had completely been drained causing him to collapse. Because of this and because of Jamie's success at carrying out his mission he was given the alias of Paladin and finished his time as a trainee. After this mission Jamie was reluctant to use guns again and preferred more to use swords and blades well relying on his suits abilities to cut himself a path through the battles he was sent on.

    A.I Personality: Gabriel personality with Jamie is best described as a fatherly one. Acting as a way of soothing and maintaining Jamie's mental state well in the middle of combat. In contrast though Gabriel's personality is more often then not cold and ruthless. Referring to the enemies of the Holy Ecclesian Empire as vermin and Heretics he constantly advocates that Jamie exterminate them indiscriminately and brutally. In missions Gabriel see's no issue with leaving behind allies should rescuing them threaten Jamie's ability to complete his missions.

    An ancient clan of mages known as the Blackhearts have begun a bloody civil war in the modern-day streets of London. This war takes place in the shadows beyond the eyes of the masses through the use of espionage, assassinations, and political power-plays as each of the many branches of the ancient Blackhearts clan join this civil war for one reason or another. Whether to declare supremacy over the other branches, to defend the main branch already in place, or even for reasons only they prepare their candidates for the position of the clan head. This is where the RP will start, with each player playing as one of the members of the branches that exist within the Blackheart cult. Each player will be a possible contestant for the position of clan head but their role in the war will be completely up to the player. Whether they wish to fight to become clan head and make their branch the main branch, fight to help another contestant become clan head, fight to defend the current main branches rule over the Blackhearts, or fight for some other reason in the war is completely up to you. The war itself is simply a foundation for the plot and the real choice of how the story goes remains completely up to the players involved.

    Lore:

    In ancient times a faction rose to power with arcane techniques unheard of before their time. The leader of this faction named ----- had developed a ritual to acquire powerful arcane abilities which, alongside his group of loyal followers, he used to bring his faction to power. Centuries past and eventually this clan fell into the shadows where it was forgotten by the rest of the world. The world has now entered the 21st century and though the clan remains forgotten by society, it in no way has collapsed. This clan remains in secret, hidden away from the rest of the population with only a very select few knowing of their existence. Those few high-profile members of the world that know of its existence are forced to keep quiet through some means or another. This clan of mages refers to themselves as the 'Blackhearts' due to the means in which they acquire their arcane abilities. Despite the common background of the cult they remain vastly divided. The clan split between branches. Each branch formed by one of the original founding members of the faction from Ancient times and each branch following the values, idealogical views, and secret abilities passed down from that founder. Within the very epicenter of these branches stands the main branch. This branch founded by the original leader of the Blackhearts faction and made the de-facto leader of the entirety of the clan. As many of the side branches started to grow increasingly discontent and antagonistic towards the main branch a period of political strife began accumulating into one unexpected act. The assassination of the main-branches leader, -----.

    With the incident of the main branches heads assassination, combined with the fact that the main branch no longer had a suitable heir to take the throne and that they had been unable to identify or catch the assassin, a period of chaos ensued. The branches remained in an uproar as they began to point fingers at one another, blaming each other for the assassination of the head. Some branches started to question the main branches ability to lead. Leading to the beginning of a new power struggle and with this new power struggle on the horizon each of the branches decided to converge on the factions ancestral home of London for the war that would take place. Some branches choosing to fight to become the new leaders if the clan well others choosing to fight to defend the main branches centuries old rule. And this is where the RP starts.

    Some things to note:

    Though there isn't many limitations to this RP there are things that should be kept in mind. First and foremost is that, because of this clans huge importance on keeping themselves secret, anime-style battles in the middle of populated streets are things that should be avoided. You can do it if you want but it is good to note that such actions would lead to a character most likely being excommunicated from their branch as a renegade and/or lead to a whole of people inside and outside the cult being pissed off at them.

    As well you are allowed to play renegade characters if you'd like and you still have every possibility of becoming clan head under those circumstances. The only difference is that it'll be much harder for your character to acquire the title of clan head in the end, as you won't have the same sort of resources and alliances as someone who is apart of a branch.

    Another important fact to know is that just because you're apart of a branch, does not mean in anyway do you actually need to be completely loyal to that branch. Factions can be made, alliances forged, and allegiances sworn. You can betray your branch to join another, depending of course on whether or not they choose to adopt you into their branch, or you can work for another branch as a spy against your branch. This war is just as much about political struggles, espionage, and behind the scenes alliances as it is about the actual battles that will take place. So prepare for a battle of minds as well as a battle of strength well the war remains ongoing.

    Brief description on how the mages acquire their abilities:

    This clan of mages gain their arcane abilities through the use of a dark ritual that revolves around a great sacrifice. To every individual mage the sacrifice that must be made is unique, each mage needing to sacrifice the thing most important to them. Depending on the mage the sacrifice can be something solid such as a loved one, a friend, or an animal. It can also be something less concrete such as a dream, a vendetta, a value, a goal, etc. The means of sacrifice remains unimportant as long as it creates the desired effect of leaving the mage with an empty void within their heart. A basic response for most people is to attempt to fill this void with an emotion. Sorrow, anger, fear, and regret being the most common. For the mage undergoing this dark ritual the void left within their heart must remain empty and so they are taught to block out these emotions thereby halting their hearts attempt to thrust these emotions upon them. Through this method they begin to give this void 'shape', to 'solidify' it until it becomes a 'bowl'. This bowl once it has been created becomes a metaphysical seat of power, a vessel for the source of the mages arcane abilities.

    Once the bowl is ready the mage must choose a 'gemstone' to fill the bowl situated within their heart. A gemstone is usually a demon, spirit, or other metaphysical being who, through a contract made with the mage, agrees to take up residence within the bowl inside their heart and grant the mage their powers in return. To acquire more powerful demons/spirits/etc a mage would have to create a greater bowl, and to do so would have to make an equally greater sacrifice. The catch is that the greater the sacrifice the harder it becomes for the user to prevent themselves from being overcome with emotion during the ritual. Each ritual requires a witness to guide the mage-to-be, this witness generally being someone who had already been overseeing the mage beforehand. Meaning the witness will generally be the mage's teacher, parent, or master. This witness plays a very important in the ritual which varies depending on the nature of the sacrifice. In the case of murders, they would prevent any interferences in the ritual and perform clean-up after all. In the case of more complex sacrifices like the forfeiting of someone's values or their youth, then the witness will have to perform the magical ceremony to artificially age the apprentice, or put the apprentice in a situation where they are forced to throw away those values in order to survive.
