Chaos was the most prevalent quality of Jason's early years. Born into a lower class family in Faustserberg his family found itself struggling with poverty more often then not and Jason found his parents constantly away doing odd jobs to keep a float. Jason's parents seemed to unwittingly develop Jason's orderly personality trait as they proved to be unorganized and inefficient. Constantly losing jobs, improperly managing their finances and blowing money wherever possible, and never acting ambitious enough to move on past their multiple dead-end jobs. Eventually Jason's situation worsened as his mother turned to drugs to deal with the depressive circumstances of her life. By the time Jason reached his teenage years his mother had finally found a permanent reprieve from her sorrows as she overdosed within the families bathroom and was found dead by Jason the next morning. Jason's father, unable to deal with Jason's mother's death, quickly stopped taking care of Jason which forced Jason to work his own variety of dead end part-time jobs to keep both of them afloat. As Jason entered high school he worked hard to balance school and work, his methodical and orderly nature helping him keep his grade high well holding down a job or two at a time to support himself and to a lesser extent his father. As he neared the end of his high school years Jason had found himself resenting his own father and, after years of taking care of the man, eventually attacked his own father. Beating the older, lethargic man brutally and mercilessly. By that point he decided it would be best to leave home and leave his father in the care of his grandparents.
Jason left Fausterberg for university at that point and found a much easier time managing his life without his father's dead-weight constantly holding him back. He seemed to excel at his studies, choosing to major in information technology and minor in sociology, as his life seemed to be on the fast-track to success. Two years into his program Jason went out to get groceries for himself and the other man in his dorm room. Jason found he had misplaced the key to his room and chose to borrow his roommate's key instead due to feeling to lazy to go searching for wherever he may have dropped his. His roommate was a late-night jogger but frequently forget his key when he went out so Jason didn't feel like the man would throw much of a fuss if he borrowed it as he left. On his way back to his dorm with the groceries he had gotten he found his successful life threatened. Confronted with by a scrawny man with a knife he was attacked for his groceries and whatever other possessions he may have had on him. A struggle ensued in which, by nothing more then pure luck, Jason had managed to disarm the mugger. The mugger seemed to try to run off at this point and though that is where he should have left it there Jason didn't seem to be finished with the man, whether due to the adrenaline in his veins or the pent up rage within his heart, he grabbed the knife and chased the mugger down. Stabbing him to death without a second thought. That would be the first time Jason would kill someone. Though he didn't feel guilt for what he had done he felt sick looking at the bleeding corpse and scared of what might happen to him after what he had done. He knew there was no way to defend his murder of the man, self-defence had gone out the window when he had decided to chase him down. So he forced himself to resist the urge to vomit as he decided to protect himself and clean up the scene. His methodical nature proved to be an advantage here as he acquired some of the rags and cleaning materials he had bought from the store to use to try and clean up anything on the scene that may have pointed suspicion towards him. He decided to take the knife with him as he left to dispose of somewhere else as he finished up and ran from the scene. Unwittingly dropping his roommates house key at the scene as he left it.
The police arrived only a few days later at Jason's dorm room. When Jason opened up the door and saw them he felt his heart sink in his chest, resisting every urge to run for it to avoid whatever cell they intended to throw him into. Though the police questioned Jason it seemed by providing his dorm room key to them he was able to throw unpredictably throw suspicion onto his roommate who was quickly taken down to the station for further questioning. Jason's original intention hadn't been to frame his roommate but he was never one to miss an opportunity. As luck had it he still had the knife he had taken from the scene and made sure to efficiently wipe it down to remove the prints before hiding the knife in his roommates room. When the police came to search his roommates room the knife they found and his roommates shaky alibi proved to be no where near enough to defend himself as the man was sent to jail for Jason's crime. After that incident Jason decided to find a new method of channelling the rage he now recognized inside himself and took up kickboxing classes in order to control it. His training it kickboxing would be something he would continue even into his older years. From that point on his years at university proved uneventful as he graduated with his bachelor's in information technology and acquired a job as a Network Security Specialist at a medium-sized, relatively recently founded, Network Security firm called Void Systems. A company founded by its current CEO and co-CEO Matthew Trafford and Adam Moreau.
At Void Systems Jason seemed to move as fast as the field of work he had jumped into. His managerial abilities skills, his organization, and his effectiveness at his position earned him promotions quickly and by the time he was 29 he was an influential and well respected employee at the firm. Eventually he reached a position just under that of the CEO and co-CEO of the firm at the age of 31, having worked at the company for a total of six years. Jason used this new position in the company to get closer to the CEO and befriend him outside of the workplace to solidify himself as a potential CEO should Adam Moreau somehow lose his position. As luck would have it that ended up being exactly what happened. With two years of Jason being in that position just under the two much more powerful men he found himself promoted to the position of co-CEO after Moreau left the company taking a portion of it's employees, assets, and clients to create his own network security firm Dardaniones Security International. This company would prove to later be Void Systems major competitor in the field of network security, as well as the downfall of Void Systems as a whole. In this position it seemed Jason had finally made it to the top of the company and that there wasn't any ability to move any further forward for him. But it seemed his ambition would not be sated so easily.
Within three years Jason had noticed a sudden downturn in the company as the company seemed to lose more and more of its clients to its major competitor Dardanions Security Inc. Jason blamed this downturn on his fellow CEO, Trafford. Jason decided he would be a more effective manager for the company as the sole-CEO of it and went to work at acquiring the ability to make such a thing possible. Gaining respect and loyalty from a majority of the companies clients and employees he decided to make his move. Trafford's position was an unobtainable one through normal means, after all Trafford could only lose his position if he chose to retire or died. As Trafford seemed to have no interest in retiring any time soon and the man, at the ripe of 44, still seemed to have at least a dozen more years on him, Jason chose to take matters into his own hands. So one morning a maid arrived at Trafford's estate to find him dead in his living room. A police investigation found that Trafford had been shot to death and determined the shooting a burglary as many of Trafford's possessions had been taken in the incident. Jason received the news of Trafford's death over dinner with a potential client for the company. After his fellow CEO's death he took on Trafford's role and rather then delegating his previous duties to a new co-CEO he delayed the appointing of one and spent the next few years as the sole CEO for the company.
With his new position Void Systems found itself in a sudden upturn, acquiring some smaller firms and their assets to help keep itself growing. But this growth was temporary it seemed as the rival Dardanions Security Incorporated proved to be a tougher adversary than Jason had originally thought and once again Void Systems seemed to be collapsing. Due to Jason's constant delaying of hiring a new co-CEO and his more ruthless business tactics their seemed to be some dissent among his companies employees, as well as some concern over the companies effectiveness among its clients. This led to a fairly large portion of clients and employees leaving the company to join their constantly growing rival. During Jason's period as the sole CEO he chose to move back to Fausterberg and have his own estate there with a woman, Hilary Prouse, that he had started dating at the age of 37. His father long since dead and Jason fairly disconnected from any remaining family members he may have, he felt no concerns with coming back to the city he had left long ago. At the age of 38 Jason found himself in a precarious position as the companies survival depended on one last, fairly large, client of their's. A meeting was booked between Jason, the client, and the CEO of his competitor Moreau. The meeting was to decide whether the client stayed with Void Systems or left for Dardanions Security Inc and this would be a meeting Jason would never make it to. On his way to the airport to fly to the city the meeting would take place in with Hilary, Jason found the pair caught in an earthquake in one of the older districts of Fausterberg.
He felt the tremors as he was walking the last block to the airport and it seemed there was nothing he could do as the apartment building beside him started to crumble. He tried to flee with Hilary from the crumbling building but at the last minute chose to turn and see the destruction, it was then when a piece of the building fell onto the street before him and sent a taxi going down the street careening out of control and right into the pair. Though both of the two had been hit by the taxi it was Jason who had taken a majority of the damage, going straight through the windshield. It was an incident that should've killed Jason and an incident that he wished had. It seemed only the driver of the cab was destined to die in the incident though as Jason awoke in the hospital some after. His awakening was not greeted with loving faces or an atmosphere of exuberance though as he received the news of his companies collapse as their last large client left Void Systems on account of Jason's failure to arrive at the meeting and the news that his girlfriend Hilary was in a coma at the exact same hospital as him due to the head trauma she had experienced during the incident.
6 months have passed since that incident and Jason's life hasn't seemed all that out of the ordinary. With the collapse of Void Systems he has gone into a retirement, falling into a semi-state of depression despite retiring with enough money to sustain his wealthy life-style till the day he expires. In his six months of retirement he's found an assortment of strange things happen, seeing blurred figures at times and even the wilting away at his touch. The former of which is an ability he's managed to convince himself as a part of his imagination but the latter of which being something he's actively been testing out within his months of retirement. At first the ability frightened him but as he practised with it more he found himself curious about the nature of the ability he had gained and has started seeking more interesting ways of using such an ability.
