Clipped Wings(miller and heartless)

Ikia frowned when he said that his king said he was there to turn her, to make her like him. To serve his king. She wasn't goiong to do that. There was no way she would ever go to his side. But for now, she stayed quiet on that topic.

When he asked his question on what it was like the on the light side, she just shrugged and spoke, her voice still quiet, "It's, calm. Peaceful. You can do what you want. It's a very free feeling. A lot of people like it."

He looked at her in inquisitively asked as calmly as he could, "What is freedom?"

Ikia looked at him strangely when he asked what freedom was. How was she supposed to explain that to someone in words alone? She bit her lip, thinking for a long moment before she looked back up at him, "Well...freedom....it's....it's being able to do as you want. And not have to listen to anyone else. It's what life was like before you worked for this king of yours."

Talon looked at her with a blank stare. He did not quite understand what this freedom was she spoke of but it sounded nice.

He looked up from the table and asked her the last question on his mind, "Could you transform into your phoenix form, for me? It has been so long since I have seen another phoenix in their true form, including myself. The king when he captured me asked his mages to make a seal that only he could remove, with that seal attached to me I cannot transform into my true phoenix form."

As he was saying all that he opened the first couple of buttons on his shirt to show a necklace with an amulet hanging from it. The amulet had the symbol of a bird behind a pentagram with a red jewel imbedded in the middle of it. It seemed to pulsate slightly almost like a heartbeat.

Ikia frowned when he asked her to transform into her true form. Her phoenix form. She loked down at her chains then up at him once again, "I'm sorry. I would if I could, but I can't. There's not enough room in the cell, and if I did the chains would cut into my skin." She leaned back agaisnt the wall, tilting her head to the side, "It must be awful, not being able to go back to your real form."

Talon walked into the cell and undid the chains. He turned away and walked back out locking the door behind him. "It is painmful not being able to transform when I want to, but atleast they did not take it away from me completly", he said as he looked up into her eyes.

"Please he said may I see you in your most powerful form." he said still matching her gaze.

Ikia frowned looking around the cell. The cell wasn't very big, but still, she did as she was told by the black phoenix and she chained, turning into the magnificent white bird that was her true form. Her bird for was large and seemed to barely fit in the cell, and it looked as though white fire was coming off of her feathers, though of course, didn't burn her. She looked down at him with her rainbow eyes for a moment, waiting for him to do or say something.

It took every fiber of Talon’s being to not show his amazement. In a flash of white fire she was standing before him in all her glory. The warmth coming from her phoenix form was radiant and peaceful. It seemed to make Talon feel like everything was right in the world. It had been so long since he had felt the power of his true form and he was so happy to see another phoenix in their true form.

“You are beautiful.” was all Talon could manage to say without letting his voice crack.

For some reason, when Talon called her beautiful, it made her kind of...happy. She sat back on the ground and changed back into her human form, it being hard to stay a phoenix in such a small space. She crossed her arms very lightly, in-securely, "It would be nice, to see another phoenix in their true form. It's been so long. For the longest time I thought I was the only phoenix left."

Talon was at a crossroad. He could not let something as beautiful as Ikia be controlled like he is, but he could not disobey the king either or he would never be able to become his true form again. But he was also curious about what freedom was, it sounded great.

"Would your king accept me if I helped you get home?" he asked cautiously. Talon did not want to seem weak, he just longed for the freedom she spoke of and she was his only hope of getting it.
