Personality: Aggressive, prideful, a little self-conscious... and... at times, compassionate.
Appearance: Leuctra has two forms. That of a man, tall and powerfully built... and her true form, that of a dragon.
The human form has short, black hair - eyes a bright fuschia, and is generally clad in polished ringmail and gilded red leather - not particularly light armor, but still affording him mobility. He also wears a scarlet tabard and cloak to match, each embroidered with golden thread, bearing a coiled tribalistic image with fanned wings. In this form his fingers end in short talons, almost mistakeable for fingernails from a distance - and his teeth are dagger-sharp. A silver tooth hangs on his neck from a silver chain. For armaments, he carries a kiteshield emblazoned with a vibrant crest and a slim longsword, the blade dyed black as pitch. Additionally, he carries a dagger at his belt.
As a dragon... things are a little different. Leuctra is thin, lithe, built like a cat. But in accordance with her size, she also bears great strength. Her scarlet hide is covered in soft scales... and to the touch, she's smooth... perhaps a little slippery, even. A ridge of short ivory spines runs from the nape of her neck to the tip of her tail, and a pair of short horns jut from the back of her triangular head, curved ever-so-slightly downwards. But beneath the hide are thin bone plates in areas not requiring significant flexibility - the face, chest, back, etc. This affords her a sort of natural armor... though the extent and location of the protection is not obvious to the untrained eye. It could be identified, if one knew what to look for, however.
Powers:
Undying Flame: Upon physical death, her body erupts in flames - blanketing the area and consuming her remains. When the firestorm is through, her soul is left inside the ruby in the crossguard of the sword she wields as a human. It functions as a phylactery of sorts and is layered with multiple enchantments to ward against destruction. In this state her mind can reach out and touch others and to speak with them, to communicate and maybe influence. But there is no 'control'. Certain spells affecting the blade itself may also be cast.
Shapeshift: Leuctra is able to assume a predetermined human form... or to return to her true draconic form at any time. Wounds are not healed - being transferred accurately to the corresponding locale on her body, but they don't scale. This means what if she's wounded in her human form, a shift might mitigate the effect of the damage. But if she suffers critical damage in her draconic form, shifting might prove fatal.
Heart of Fire: Leuctra radiates heat. Whilst typically tolerable, when she is angry or excited, she gives off enough energy that the air around her shimmers and twists as under the desert sun. Plant life woud wilt... but it won't technically deal any actual damage. It can be suppressed. Additionally, in her human form, she may ignite and manipulate fire anywhere within a ten yard radius. In dragon form, she may breath a blistering cone of fire at will. Although this latter method provides significantly less finesse, it's typically much more damaging.
Flight: Self explanatory. In her draconic form, Leuctra may fly... so long as her wings are intact.
Natural Armor: In draconic form, there is plated bone hidden underneath her hide in certain locations which do not require great flexibility; the face, chest, parts of the back, ect. The thickness of the bone varies depending on the need for flexibility or protection at a given point. The armor is subtle, indecipherable to the untrained eye. But if one knows what to look for, they may be able to pick out what is or is not protected.
