Hometown: Orlando, Florida
First Memory: When he was twelve years old, he accidentally wrecked his father's car while it was in the garage. Laurie was trying to retrieve a heavy box from a top shelf. One wrong move caused a domino effect of tools and shelves falling everywhere.
Most Important Childhood Event That Still Affects Him/Her: For most role-plays, Laurie's most important childhood event that continues to affect him is: surviving a fire that burned down the family's second house when he was around the age of eleven.
Why/How?: This event continues to affect him because it left a scar both physically and psychologically. He is afraid of any flame or fire that is not in a controlled environment such as a caged fireplace. Laurie's beloved companion, Caine the brindled Bullmastiff, died during the event when trying to save him. The event left a gnarly scar across his lower back where a wooden beam fell on top of him, and both of his hands have some scarring that he is self-conscious about.
Other Memories/Events That Still Affects Him/Her and Why/How: None.
Past Failures S/He Would be Embarrassed to Have People Know About and Why: Laurie is not easily embarrassed about any past memories or events from his life.
Biggest Role Model: If he had to choose a role model, it would be Tim Burton.
Why?: He sees Tim Burton as a genius story teller and has always been fascinated with his works.
Biggest Disillusions From Childhood: He had always dreamed of becoming an astronaut up until the age of eleven, when he inadvertently found out how much work went into actually becoming an astronaut. There was also one time when he had believed he could be like Superman... until he broke his arm in two places after jumping from the roof in an attempt to fly.
