Red as Blood, Under a Full Moon

Red smiled lightly when he took off her red cloak and handed her his jacket, which was thicker and would help her to warm up faster. She smiled and walked as he hung the deer skin by the fire to dry. She was get to sewing it up later. For now, she would just rest for a bit. She sighed lightly and looked back at him when he apolized for how his cabin had wolves all over it.

"Don't apoligize. I like it. Wolves are beautiful creatures, even if they are just a bit deadly. What people don't realize though, is that wolves are a lot like humans. They have packs that are just like our families. They look out for one another. And, unlike a lot of animals, they have one mate for life. They protect their young and stick together." She blushed a little bit and looked at him sheepishly, "My fahter studies animal behavior. That's how I know so much of them, though, as you could tell before, even if I know a lot, my survior skills and knowledge aren't that good."

When she was warmed up enough fromt he fire, she hung his coat up before getting the shirt that he had laid out for her to wear as a night dress. When she saw he was turned, focusing on cooking, she un-did her dress and slipped it up before she put the shirt on.

James heard the dress fall as he didn't look back like he wanted to, she had talked about wolves having only one mate "It is sad to see how some wolves even die off a broken heart" he said as he put the meat in a pan before starting with the vedgetables until it was all in one huge pot on the fire, he wanted to protect her.

"Some people even believe that some men can turn into a wolf" James said "i mean humans and wolves are exactly alike" he said as he looked at her "and the wolves here learned that human kill them so they fight back, that's why there are killing, a warning that they don't hesitate to fight back and i would love to meet your father then" he said as he swallowed.

Whe he was done he just turned around as he swallowed at the sight off her in his shirt "looks good on you" was all he said as his eyes were fixed on her, glad that the counter hid what the sight did to him. His body as all turned to her as he knew he would die to protect her as it all as rather silly in his eyes

Red giggled when he spoke of people being able to turn into wolves, "I've heard tales like that. People turning into wolves. I don't know if I'd be scared or happy.' She smiled and sat on the bed as she spoke, "I suppose it would depend on who was in control, the wolf, or the man. The two can be a deadly combinantion though. Very deadly." She sighed and began to run her hands through the hair, getting what little tangles were there.

She smiled and looked at him. He was rather handsome, something she had noticed when she had first seen him in the woods. Blushing lightly, she turned her gaze back to the ground and continued on with her hair, humming ever so lightly to herself, even taking the time to braid her hair before she stood again, "Did you need any help with the cooking?"

James watched her as he was just in trance, he noticed her gaze falling on him as he wondered why she was so right. This as the first time that his wolf agreed with him "Well maybe you can taste if it needs more seasoning" he said as he pulled out a spoon and filled it with the sauce.

James watched her walk over as he swallowed when he wanted to howl, the wolf now was telling him to claim her at his as he held out the spoon "How bad is it?" he asked more as a joke than anything. Ow how much he wanted to pulled her close as he watched her.

"and i am sure they can be deadly but then again if the wolf and man combined love a woman or man, that person is very lucky" he said as he looked straight at her "no love is more true i guess" James said as he wanted to kiss her but he pushed those feelings back

red smiled as she stood walking over to where he sat in front of the fire. She kneeled next to where he sat and took a sip of the soup that was in the spoon he held out to her. Red shrugged, "It's not bad, though it could use a little more seasoning." She smiled up at him before she stood again, walking over to where the seasoning was.

She picked up a few things and walked back over, shaking different amounts of each into the pot before she picked up the spoon and holding it out for him to taste, "Okay, your turn, how is it?" She asked, kneeling in front of him once again.

She was sure it would be good, as she cooked all the time. She smiled up at him, waiting for him to try it.

James pushed those other thoughts about her kneeling in front off him to the back off his mind as he tasted the soup (it was stew but whatever) as his eyes widened as he looked at her "O my that is the best thing i've ever tasted" he said as he looked at her "wow, you can cook" he said as he smirked at her "marry me woman" he said joking as he laughed "no i'm kidding it is just too good, heavenly" he said.

"Do you want to eat?" he asked as he looked at her, she was so beautiful and perfect as he licked his lips, he wanted to kiss her and he just could picture her in a long white dress. (srry for the short post, i need sleep)

Red giggled, "You must not have had anyone cook for you in a long while, huh?" She stood up and nodded when he asked if she wanted to eat, "You go sit at hte table and I'll get the food." She stated and when he went to sit down, she grabbed two bowls and a couple of spoons, pouring the stew into the bowls before she walked back over to where he was seated.

She set his bowl down in front of him before she sat across the table from him, taking a bite of it. She had finished about half of it before she paused, looking up at him, heistating before she slowly spoke again, un-sure if it was okay to ask a few questions, "James, if you don't mind me asking, why live here? In the woods? And by yourself. Dosn't it get lonely?"

She knew that is she was living on her own with no one around for miles, she would get very lonely. She would at least have to have one person there with her. Someone to talk to and such." SHe took another sip of the stew and looked back at him, tilting her head to the side in curiousity.

"No i don't have anyone cooking for me and i always preferred to live on my own" James said as he started to eat fast, he would always eat way more than any normal man would eat, it was part of being what he was, the wolf always hungered for more as he looked at her "i mean it does get lonely at times" he said as he kept eating and finished his plate.

"But if you live alone in the woods there is no-one to say what you can or can not do, and i never thought i would meet someone that doesn't bore me" he said as he filled his plate again. "I mean it is nice to have someone to talk to but i have the wolves" he said as he knew he had one lone shewolf that always came to him.

At that point he heard a bark as he walked to the kitchen and put some uncooked raw meat in a bowl "She won't hurt you" he said as he walked to the door and opened it as a beautiful silver wolf walked in and growled at Red "hush" he said as he looked at her as he made the mind link, showing her he would protect her "She's a friend" he said as he only did that for the show, he petted the shewolf her head as she stopped growling and wagged her tail when he put down the meat before closing the door "and i'm not lonely i have Naveen" he said a she pointed at the wolf.

"I found her as a pup and then i heard hunters telling they killed a she wolf, little did they know she had cubs and well Naveen was the only one to survive, she still hasn't found a pack" he said as he sighed "I hope you don't mind her being here" he said.

Naveen looked at the girl, she had thought he would choose her but she also knew he wasn't like her. He was still mostly human and they only played as wolfs, he never let her go further as she ate her meat as he walked back to that girl. she now accepted red as a higher ranked wolf.

Red was quite suprised when James let a female wolf into the cabin. She jumped a bit when it growled at her, but then relaxed when Jame's hushed it. It was so strange, yet amazing to her. She had never seen a wolf so close before without worrying about it attacking her.

When she saw the she-wolf was done eating, she slowly moved forward and stopped a few feet in front of Naveen, kneeling downa nd reaching a hand out, waiting for the wolf to approach her and sniff her hand before she gently rested that hand on her head, petting her soft fur. She looked at james and smiled, "She's a beautiful wolf. I'm glad you saved her."

After a few more moments of petting the wolf, she stood up straight and walked over, sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at him, "You know, your a nice guy. Most hunters I knew wouldn't have spared the life of a helpless animal. I like that you help them. It's sweet."

Naveen let Red pet her as she saw James was having a hard time no to laugh as Naveen made it obvious she wasn't a pet, when she finally was gone and James sat down next to her Naveen jumped on the bed and laid her head on James his lap. He was the only one that was allowed to pet her even more without her tensing up.

James could feel the jealousy as he kept assuring Naveen that Red was good as he petted Naveen "she is very beautiful indeed and i'm not like other hunters, i feel sad about every life i take, i always make sure i leave some meat for the wolves close by and also that i only take old or sick animals" he said as he petted her.

"And only a heartless person would leave a cub alone in the cold between other dead ones" he said as he saw how Naveen relaxed on his lap "You see wolves aren't vicious if you know how to react as a wolf. If you run a wolf it will see it as a weakness and attack" he said as he sighed "and if you attack they defend their selves" he stated as he looked at Red "But you are the most beautiful woman i have ever seen" he said with a smile "i hope you don't mind that Naveen will be in the house, i don't like to have her outside at night"
