Overview of An Imagined World - Allaria:

An Imagined World, Allaria, takes place in a medieval type of setting, using classical creatures from a variety of lore. These include Human, Elf(Surface and Drow), Dwarf, and Minotaur, plus more. Some of the more varied races, include Dragonoids, and Irda. The world is ran by a council of an unknown number; one of each race present in the RP. The world has a plethora of magic, streaming from the very souls of those magically apt; at the same time, it is brimming with those who are magically inapt, who use their wits, and body to shape the very land they claim as their own. Not everything is peachy keen, however, the darkest portions of society hold a nasty secret. Not every city is filled with hard-working citizens, some are controlled by greedy aristocrats, whose main purpose in life is to make money off the backs of the slaves that power their city. As such, the theme of this RP should remain somewhat dark, in a good piece of the world; yet, soft-hearted in others.

Prevent and Repress the Spread of an Evil Tyranny.

From the corruptible minds of scheming liaisons, the Council has become obsolete and the God’s have given up on those who once prayed to them nightly. Misconstrued words from the Council have fallen onto the ears of those who faithfully follow their Councilmen’s orders without question, leading to the hectic disposition of the world now. And this, this world that has fallen from grace, is the world you’ve been giving to shape and mold in the name of good. But, of course, you have no real reason to change the world; nothing was taken from you, not in the least. Or was it, where has your freedom went, when the place you called home has began to take in slaves? Began praying, not to the God’s above, but to the God’s who claim themselves a more accessible Council? At first, things were alright, a false trust built in people who had halted the messages from being truly passed along. And now, with their grasp steady around the necks of those who foolishly danced to their tune, once colorful words became as black as night and freedoms were stripped wherever they went.

You are the final frontier, be it trapped in one of these slowly rotting towns, or in a place where the dark grasp has not reached and belief in the True Council and God’s have remained true. This adventure takes you on a journey across a land, fighting to return peace to the land and power back to the rightful owners, or even show people that while the Council is a historic front, it is the people that truly make their own decisions. In this, you shall also find yourself, be it your salvation, or what you’ve always wondered about the world and how you fit.

Go forth and save the world.

Reaching the main plot, overreaching as it is, will take several plots and quests to get anywhere; like all questing Rps. This is to account for the large amount of land and the NPCs who all have different information and needs. It also helps to develop the plot and effect how people(The NPCs and fellow PCs) view you.

The view of it from a distance would be much like the first pic... only it would be surrounded by other mountains.

There would be more trees inside the city and several rivers running through it.

The general structure of this city (treehouses and such) would be much like this map. However Touhouku would be much... much smaller.

Missing a map of Alkarin... But think of a city built in and around mountains (Much like Balmourg but less... largescale). Also, their would be a large underground region made up of tunnels, mines, and cities in the in the mountain range. I'll provide a map for them if I can find one suitable... But I doubt that I would be able to.

From the old PW; No one was using it. xD

High in the unreachable grasp of the God’s, a shelter known as The Precipice of They, houses a handful of council members. These members use intricate magic to keep themselves alive far longer than they should be, at a price. Their ages were evened out, extending the life of Humans, for instance, yet halting the life of the Centaurs, the race with the most longevity. Yet, this was all for the greater good in their eyes, but one cannot expect the presence of anger to be completely absent. The God’s favor these people, and keep them safe from the haphazard magic that shields them. By manipulating the only magic able to be accessed from their home, the ‘Magic of the Messenger’, the Council members delegate orders, both acknowledged by the Council and secretive, to their chosen liaison. But, what happens when the power of the Council begins to dwindle, and people begin to lose hope? What happens when the Council is oblivious to the fate of their own people, the slavery that fuels some towns? In a futile attempt to wish well upon a place they’ve no idea about anymore, due to their extended absence over centuries, their prayer to the God’s go out; each wishing the same thing: For the world to be safe and return to the glory it once held.

The World is much worse off than the Council Members would like to think, and in part, they are to blame. Secretive messages, inciting wars with opposing races, whilst smiling in the faces of peers. Slavery caused by the Minotaur, up taking the Human’s and Forest Elves who venture too far out from their home. Riots and battles rage across the land, scorching it with blazing fires and painting what was once a vibrant green, in a drying splotch of crimson. Some towns remain safe havens, and for the most part, accept all races with open arms. Others, however, have become barely livable shambles, where crime has become the main trade and all safety exported. Tensions are on the rise as factions band together and stalk the land; a political uprising threatens to spread a cloud of tyranny across the world to uproot the Council and make them obsolete, and then further still, making the Gods near non-existent.

Further still, the God’s have not shown their abilities to the people anymore; forcing them to rely on themselves and their own innate magic. A smaller version of the Council has been showing their power, using words of false hope to gain sway over the townships, and this is evident by the towns that have been swayed to the life of slavery; some more-so than others. Their reach consists of most of the map; leaving Port Jinn and Rocoas as the only two safe havens.

Address to the Participants:

This is where you, my participants, come in. Fearful that the weakness of the God’s, that their existence is purely based on the belief of the people, will soon be exposed, they’ve came to you for help. Understanding their power has cut off the Council from the world, and that the land has become a perpetual battleground, they need someone to bring back the truth, to keep them around. As such, in an act of arguable rarity, I mean people claim to see the God’s all the time, though that is lessening, they appear before their chosen Champions, some of them before two.

In this Roleplay, the Champions(Or whatever), shall band together to bring back the truth of the God’s, take down a tyranny(Or help bring it up). The world is affected by your actions, and the consequences, may not be as clear cut as you would think. Dare you undertake such a quest? Dare you risk your lives and band together with your brethren in a world of growing darkness? With Quests that may split the group and decisions that may turn the world on its head. A variety of miscellaneous creatures, plants, people, are to be encountered, and interacted with; make no mistake, however, there is a world that needs to be saved.

The truest question of all:

Will you make it or break it?

I do not expect you all to get along IC, but in the OOC you WILL, or SHOULD be respectful to one another.

I encourage OOC interactions, as I find it helps promote brainstorming and cultivates future RP partnerships. Jests and jokes don't bother me, just don't turn it into a flame war.

I should not have to hold your hand through this RP, you don't need to just react to what I write, push the story if you have a good idea. Don't be one of those people who just lazily reply then complain when the story doesn't go anywhere. Show iniative. Become a leader.

This is an advanced RP, so it may be longer posts than you're used too. For instance, mine are considerably longer as I am the GM and I am doing all the world describing shit for the most part. Also, I expect better grammar than you may be used too. But don't worry about that too much, I suck at the shit.

I do not play a static character so yes, at times, one of you will have to grow some balls and lead a party. Call it character development since the majority of you, or a good amount of you, seem to be weak at making friends.

Be wary of what you do, but stick to character. Your actions will dictate several important factors, such as relationship between teammates and the relationship between NPCs and towns. Your relationship and actions vary person to person, town to town.

Act your ability. None of you are some super god mega warriors off the gate. Actually, you'll probably shit your pants at the sight of one. Don't expect to go up against a good deal of people and expect to come out unscathed. You have your strengths and you have your weakness(if some of you had to make friends, dear God, have mercy on your soul), play to them, show some character depth.

This RP is set to allow me to punish you, IC, for your choices, actions, or lack thereof. Remember that. I'm not going to put you up against something that will definitely kill you in the end, but I refuse to try and guide you along the kid route. Man up, you got a world to save and some broads to bang.

Unless your post is SPECIFIC to another person who has yet to post, I will not accept "I'll wait for such and such to post." That is a weak attempt to hold off on posting. I'd rather you just tell me you'll post in a couple of days, instead of trying to be follower to someone else's leader.

About The Roleplay(technical aspects):

As foretold by the placement of this, Allaria will be an Advanced Roleplay, and as such the posts should be as well. Standards vary between players, but I’d at least like a few paragraphs if you can squeeze it out. If you can’t, that’s fine, but you should be able to between my posts and the fact, you don’t need your hand held, while you write the post.

This roleplay will also be used as a tool to help give the players some Gming experience. By that, I mean, at some parts(such as cities, and other major areas), one of the team members may be more familiar and thus more able to lead the group through there. None of the player is likely to have full on worldly experience in all aspects of Allaria, so it should work. What this entails is, when we reach places I don’t have a character to guide you all, one of the players will take charge. These responsibilities include:

• Likely posting first.
• Handling the management and overall strategy in-game
• Handing the OOC portions of corresponding to the IC
• --Others may be added--

I’ll still have final say.

There are a multitude of races and Gods, but I’ll likely be cutting it down. The races I will, for sure, be keeping, are classical fantasy races. Drow, Human, Surface Elf, Minotaur OR Centaur, Dwarves, and Dragoniods. I’d prefer if you picked one of the chosen races, but any interesting race may be taken and added*.

Magic is present, there are a few limits. No space/time, no reality bending, etc., etc. that overpowered, GM-likely shit.

Technology is medieval level, with a chance of firearms(Unreliable) becoming present down the line.

Spirit animals are present, and are used, primarily, as a measure of how much magic a person has left, if they are magically apt, and a go-between for messages. More explained if needed.

Chapters; Allaria will be done in Chapters, of varying lengths. Most of the time, the chapters will include basically getting from point A to point B. For instance, the first Chapter will be the group going from Jinzaga to Rocoa.

Announcements and Summaries: Allaria has a long-standing tradition of the players posting summaries of their posts, so a person who doesn't have time to read, For example:

8/21/11 Jarod healed the soul of his first patient outside of the university's guidance. It was a success. The next day he applied to the Job Posting at the One-Eyed Troll, against the rules of the University, according to the will of his god Asclepius
8/22/11 Dupont is "cursed" by a strange healer and forced to work for a new crime boss named Marshal. He is visited for the first time by his spirit animal, who encourages him to escape by going to the One-Eyed Troll -- but it seems the fish has an ulterior motive.
8/21/11 Adaeze's past is explained more fully. She heals an elven boy in her room at the inn late at night, and dreams of her spirit animal giving her what she believes to be a completely random message.
8/22/11 Kiara meets Gremil the death raven god thing. Goes to Port Jin hearing something about an army thats supposed to arrive. Future thing to happen: Follow army and then find One- eyed troll.
8/23/11 Sarant was attacked by a Baslisk, while hunting a Wolpertinger. Barely escaping the Basilisk she fell asleep mid-flight and heard from her God, before crashing into Johic.

Excess of Players: While I do like a lot of interest, things get bungled with 6+ people running around a lot. So, some of the players may be asked to create a stronger character in exchange for waiting out a bit and later coming in to act as a guide to get us through places we may not have the know how to get through, for example, a forest none of us are familiar with. What this does is allows people to come in and test the waters with the group, maybe exchange spots for people who want to take a rest from the RP, or just act as a temporary agent in the RP.

Death: Some of you will probably die, get used to that fact now. If you would logically die, that's on you. ;P You will be allowed to make another character, but it will likely only be a guide when it starts.

Equipment: Be sure to list everything you want to take with you, because it will effect your choices. No money? Then you're gonna have to steal your shit until you make some. None of that, 'Oh, I didn't have money when we started, but I did this, now I got some.' Deal with your actions.

Morality: Another aspect of Allaria is the fact that your actions effect how people and the party, view you, and how well they'll listen, help out, etc., etc. Be sure to note, I don't want you all to be buddy buddy, I like conflict.

Ch. 1

1/12/2012 - Rocoa was taken over by the Apotheoses Army. Ivan met with Port Jinn officials, including long time friend, Abbar. Seth's transgressions leads to his untimely demise, and Ivan declares war on Port Jinn.
1/12/2012 - Jarod successfully heals his first patient outside of the university's supervision. He says goodbye to everything he has known. Breaks oaths to follow the will of Asclepius, makes his way to the One-Eyed-Troll. On his way he meets Rebekha, the woman whose child he had healed. She tells him that the gray is in port jinn. This troubles Jarod, but he puts his faith in Asclepius and does as he was bid by his spirit animal.
1/13/2012 Landon sees that crazy shit and freaks right the fuck out. He follows the poster to the One-Eyed Troll and jumps into a bottle, oblivious to most of the things going on but especially to any gods at work.
01/15/2012 Mirya scrambles through the woods outside of Port Jiin, and is met by her spirit animal, telling her to head to the One-eyed Troll. Upon realisation that she's actually in her spirit world, she begins to wake up, and continues her trek to Port Jiin. Upon entrance, she is met by the gristly sight of someone being dragged across the street, sharp stones and litter tearing his insides to pieces. But she continues forward, arriving at the One-eyed troll and stumbles in. Not quite as gracefully as Mirya had hoped.
01/15/2012 Fairst is in Port Jinn as an attache to Ivan, but escapes from Eclava's clutches instead. Goes insane in one street, kills a guard and butchers his body to pieces; then remembers why he was there in the first place, heads to the One-Eyed Troll and screams for Abbar.
01/18/2012 Landon meets Caderyn, and promptly insults the shit out of him. Partly not on purpose -- but at the same time, on purpose.

01/19/12 The armies of Port Jinn assemble and prepare for the coming day. Py'kou delivers his message. Johic leads the group down to the secret room in the Library.
22/01/2012 Clambering into the one-eyed troll, Mirya watched a small fight break out, nearly broke a chair and carried some boxes into a basement. Deciding to follow the owner's son, assuming it to be part of the god's plan, she began to clamber through the dark tunnel.
01/24/2012 Fairst goes nuts inside the One-Eyed Troll, taunting members of the party.
01/25/2012 Kiara exits the Unending Pursuit ship and makes her way back to the One-eyed Troll, upon entering the tavern, Abbar. Someone who just ironically knew about her coming pointed the way to the door leading downstairs, upon entering she went down the tunnel and joined the group meeting held by Johic.
01/25/2012 Cad settles down in the One-eyed Troll and finds himself immediately is at odds with Landon and thinks him abnormal. Helps move boxes downstairs because he can.

01/27/12 Eclava reveals Edan-Es is set to become the next leader in the Apotheoses. She also reveals her second in command, a Nagi named Sarahix. The Gods worry about the 1000 yard stare in Michael's eyes, and Johic explains the situation to the group.
01/28/12 Kiara listened to the speech Johic gave, making her very aware of the healer mage that was their enemy, she felt a deep hatred for the mans cowardly like ways in using spells in that way, meaning she didn't fully like magic to begin with. She made her way to the room she'd share with the Minotaur and layed down upon it after the creature did, sleeping til the next day.
29/01/2011 Mirya leant what the gods wished of them to do, after clambering through the pitch-black tunnel. Tomorrow would be the day they departed, and so Mirya prepared to head back through the tunnel up to the inn.
01/31/12 Fairst is instructed by Johic to look for a remedy to his wounds; voluntarily tries to strike up a connection with Jarod for about two seconds before going off on his own and collapsing from blood loss. While unconscious he dreams about his old life.
01/31/12 - Jarod became aware of Fairst's injuries after he begins clawing at the floor with them. He tended to Fairst, mending his wounds. He felt Fairst's soul, and after doing so does not trust him. As a soul healer Jarod feels strongly that he might be able to help this man. As a medicinal healer Jarod is very curious about the blades, how they got there, and how they might one day be removed. Instead of sleeping, Jarod meditated and kept track of Fairst's soul with his ability.
02/04/12 Landon stays up late writing in his journal and doesn't take the time to meet anybody yet.

02/04/12 The war started between the Apotheoses and the Royale Army of Port Jinn. Both sides expect the war to last no more than a day. Ivan showed Edan-Es, the soon-to-be newly appointed leader in the Apotheoses, how to give a proper speech and give morale to the crowd, much to Edan's chagrin. Johic is determined to stay behind, leaving the heroes to their own devices after the make it across the Fields of Rocoa. Fananatu has discovered what he thinks may be the way to defeat Eclava.
02/05/12 Fairst gets warned by an unnamed Old Council member about his future actions in a dream, but he disregards it. He then wakes up to find that Jarod, instead of healing him by magical means, had attempted instead to sew his wounds shut; he then proceeds to warn the healer disciple to not touch him again without permission in the future. Once out into the battlefield, Fairst lets loose and kills a numerous number of Apotheoses soldiers; however, due to his ability's uniqueness, he collapses and is in dire need of help shortly thereafter.
02/05/12 After what was (thankfully) a rather uneventful nights sleep, Mirya was woken and almost thrown out of town into a soon-to-be battlefield.
02/04/12 Kiara had a dream during the night where Gremil the Death Raven told her what would happen to the world if the army succeeded, putting into her mind just how grave the situation really was, putting confidence and courage into her heart and mind making her want to succeed, thus when she awoke she made her way to the bridge where she gave her own small speech to the group and prepared herself for the trip across the fields.
02/05/12 Landon falls in with the "make for the woods" crowd and, well, makes for the woods. As they're getting close he sees Fairst go down, and insists that somebody needs to go help him.
02/06/2012 Jarod stares down Fairst as he holds a blade to his throat. He throws up and doesn't know why. He acquires a bit of supplies for the journey. He gives his name to a merchant who will no doubt spread word of him leaving Port Jinn. He encourages Landon to make use of Fairst's distraction.

02/09/12 The War has officially started. Valgar has been introduced, particularly it's history and how it gained it's mystical properties. The group has been spotted and must now hurry out of the battlefield!
02/10/12 Repzik received a message from micheal in the form of his spirit animal. So he leaps off the boat, is saved by a wizard in a boat who uses magical means to take him back to port jinn. He then runs throught the town, and meets a guy who gives him a horse, and he rides across the lowered drawbridge and kills two guys with a javelin, and then engages four soldiers and defeats them, and makes a break for the main quest group.
02/12/12 Landon has fallen too far behind, and thinks he has been abandoned like Fairst. One of the enemy's boulders nearly strikes and kills him, throwing him (only marginally) closer to the group and knocking his lights right out. He's basically got a concussion from the impact. He's moving enough that you'd know he's alive, but if you've ever been around someone with a concussion they're basically brainless until they come back around, which could be a while, so it's not much different from sleepwalking. I CAN HAZ RESCUE!?
02/18/12 Jarod runs to catch up to the rest of his group. He stops after a huge explosion behind him, to find that Landon has been thrown forward towards him. He helps the wolfen get up and to keep moving.

02/19/12 Valgar is furthered explored, particularly Aledit -- the greatest warrior of Valgar. His motives are explained, the hunt for the Executioner's Axe. The war continues. Michael finally snaps, and declares his desire to turn his back on the people below after the war.
02/23/12 Landon and the small remainder of the group of allies stumble into the woods on the edge of battle. Landon, delirious, loses consciousness.
02/26/12 Repzik runs, kills a minotaur, loses his sword doing it, and stumbles into the woods.
03/01/12 Damian, Paladin of Lloth and newly appointed (without his knowledge) messenger, came upon a small group of Apostheoses soldiers who were searching for the Port Jinn deserters. He slaughters the group and, more importantly, shoots a minotaur in the nutsack. He moves to meet the deserters.

03/02/12 A small break seems to be called, as evident by Abbar and Johic, with the rest of the Royale Army sitting around a fire. Devil Birds are released and the town is officially carnaged. A messenger is picked out by the council, as well as a group of rag-tag individuals. Ivan learns about the group! Eclava receives Fairst and Mirya, and orders the former to rape the latter.
03/04/12 Thinking that it would be wise to get everyone across to the tree-line, Mirya doubled back to resuce Fairst. Fairst stabbed Mirya, and they were both dragged through a portal.
03/07/12 Helps Landon to "safety." Meets Repzik in the woods, but doesn't get a chance to talk with him, because he hears the clang of a swift battle, followed by the appearance of Damien.
03/10/12 Repzik enters the clearing behind the healer, stares at landon, and waits wearily for someone to say something.
03/16/12 After several worthless posts, the group finally begins conversing; Landon is woken up, everyone is introduced (Repzik over a time-skip), and the group makes camp. Damian volunteers to take first watch, or only watch if no one decides to relieve him, and makes the talkey-talk with his spirit animal.

03/18/12 Fananatu begins his deception, he sneaks off to go meet with the adventurers. Lloth and Asclepius advocate Michael turning away, both for their own sinister purposes. Ivan tells Abbar why he decided to join the Apotheoses and how he gained his blade.
03/25/12 Damian is a approached by an Apostheoses Dragonoid during his watch; he listens to what the creature has to say and then wakes up Jarod and talks to him about it. When Jarod relieves him of watch, he finds a place to rest and goes to sleep.
03/31/12 The radiation taking its toll on Mirya, she slips out of conciousness for a little while, only to wake up in a prison cell. She then contemplates Fairst's actions during the fight, only to come to the conclusion that he's probably crazy.
04/05/12 Jarod had an uneventful quiet watch, he woke Landon for his turn, and fell to sleep. The End.
04/08/12 Landon makes it through most of his shift by drawing portraits of the dead from memory in his journal. He falls asleep before his watch is done.
04/08/12 Repzik awakens, and wakes everyone up.

04/13/12 Fananatu gets the group into Rocoa using a complex system of runes. He tells them to stay put, then goes to fabricate a war assessment to get Eclava out of Rocoa, so he can give the group time to train. Edan-Es is sent off to assume his rightful place as Apotheoses Councilmen. Abbar is tricked into giving up information about the group to what he believes his is son. He passes out before it is found out that it wasn't Johic. Movius and Asclepious scheme to bring someone into Heaven, as well as scheme against each other.

05/03/12 Abbar is found to be a broken man, as well as his son. Johic, shows visible signs of a cracked man, and poor appearance. Ivan is met by a mysterious jester, hand-delivering a vocal message. Sarahix and Eclava arrive in Rocoa, separately, and Fananatu starts to worry. Lloth suspects Asclepius and Movius, but doesn't have any ideas as to what is going on with the pair.
05/05/12 Landon hates life, expects that everybody's gonna die tomorrow. Talked about his futile training in archery, his studies at the library, and his strange addiction to the strippers at the "Tinker Tank" militia bar. One in particular, by the stage name of "Dandelion," catches his attention. SPOILER ALERT: She's coming with us. Landon has reservations about his minor role in the rescue -- his job is to clear a way out of the city and stay out of the way, but he doesn't think he can do it.
05/05/12 The prison scene is set, however vaguely. Kayless is revealed to be incarcerated indefinitely with slim chances of ever being released. He reveals to his dim-witted accomplice, a thief by the name of Dove, that he has a plan to escape the prison.
05/07/2012: After realising that working out an escape plan is enough to make her fall alseep, Mirya is woken up by two of the other prisoners. Stumbling outside, she overhears Kayless discussing his own escape plan, and decides to listen in.

05/10/12 Johic finishes his mask and is taunted by some Aptheoses’ guards. They are in turn killed by him and he escapes into the main castle of Port Jinn. Apparently visiting his father, he sets a trap, which is ineffective - and also gets his father killed, but he does not know that. Eclava has several people put to death, and the Minotaur, Mirya, raped by her once ally, Fairst who joins her cause. As Kayless is set to be killed, Johic arrives and stops Sarahix, only to be slammed into a wall - a mad dash for freedom is now underway.
5/11/12 After nearly being executed, Kayless makes use of Johic's attack to grab a sword, kill a few guards, and open up the prison to start what will definitely be a bloody riot. Things are getting craaaaaaazy.
05/12/12 Landon reaches deep into his purse and finds his balls. After Mirya's thing, he and Damian charge down to the rescue. Landon manages to get the minotaur up on her feet, only to suddenly be confronted by a guy with a spear. Once again a pussy, Landon hides behind his rescuee like a human shields... er, minotaur-shield.
05/12/12 In the chaotic shitstorm, Damian aides some prisoners in fending off guards only to be wounded by one of the people he was helping... he took their head of course. After that he goes and saves Mirya and Courage the Cowardly dog from the spearman and they move out of the building... with the aide of Fairst going batshit.
05/15/12 Mirya gets raped, gets unconscious then gets pissed.

05/15/12 The Old Council talks about wanting to be down in the war; Valgar continues to prepare for war; Johic has to escape Rocoa, Fananatu awakens the Rocoan Chimera, and there is a revolt in the streets.
05/22/12 Landon plays dead while Mirya challenges Fairst. Adrianne rushes in to help, and joins the party without explanation. Also some other stuff happened, like while you read that post, I think like a hundred little kids died of starvation in India. Depressing right? But yeah. Tits are on the Team, so at the end of the day that's probably still winning.
05/22/12 Jarod reflects on his last month of training while waiting for his companions to escape from the prison. To Jarod time seems to be both crawling and speeding by him, he gets pretty stressed out by this, but then he finally sees Damian with some fellows he doesn't recognize, he decides to follow Damian, and then gets on the boat with him.

05/25/12 Aledit watched the fabled Black Rain and rising of new kin. He is summoned to a War Council held up by the Shian War Minister Sundassa, who he believes, should not hold her place due to being a woman. Eclava makes an example out of a Immortal named Echush, who once was a God.
05/31/12 Jarod gives in to his guilt and gets off the boat, using his awareness of spiritual selves to generally gauge the location of landon and mirya. He finds them right as they are escaping, and informs them of Damian's position.
05/31/12: Mirya passed out, after being rescued by some woman and Landon.
06/02/12 The gang escapes with the help of a gong farmer/shit-shoveler named Vargussel (THROWBACK KING, RIGHT HERE) into the woods, and sets out to the north.

06/04/12 Sundassa and her lover, Master Kalim, discuss how she talks to Aledit, and more backstory on Ivan, whom seems to be the scorned best friend. He is now watching Stephan, in anticipation for Jarod's arrival.
06/05/12 Jarod suggests that they head to the college, before setting out.
06/07/12 Adrianne becomes angry with Landon and vows to leave the group once they reach Jarod's college.

05/11/12 A short recounting of how the hunters did away with the remaining defenders on the island and found a compass with which to track the Emperor dragon. Afterwards, they got a ship and have now arrived in Feyerlun. Emeris is visiting an Archon embassy to have the compass recharged before they continue the hunt.
06/04/2012 The Dragonoid followed the ship by land with the Goblin and waited for movement on the outskirts of Kyut jungle somewhere in the northwest where he could see the two entrance into Feyerlun.
06/07/2012 Goblin travels with Dragonoid, passes out and has a confrontation with his spirit animal. Which he injures. During all this he is paranoid and itching to sell the contents of his ever empty er... chest for a quad of currency. I.E. he wants to go to town.

05/05/12 Expanded upon the premise of Dance in the Cold Air; Aldric mulled over the job he had been contracted to carry out, and went to speak to Captain Wendyl, captain of the Salutarias.
05/05/12 Katri muses why she accepted any surface commission and ponders over her new "teammates" and their motives- along with her own for not stealing any of the ship's cargo. After a fit of clumsiness, she goes to speak with Captain Wendyl and finds him already speaking with Aldric.
05/05/12 Sabdrin amuses a couple sailors with a bawdy tale. She wonders at how long she'll be stuck on the ship, as well as over how she'll be able to avoid her fellow drow. She makes her way to the captain's cabin to investigate matters only to discover two of her companions beat her there. She is pleased to find that their journey is nearly back to land.

5/13/12: Aldric muses with his companions on the approach they may take towards ferreting out information on their quest once they reach port. Captain Wendyl gets shitfaced.
05/16/12 Sabdrin starts writing an epic in her head. She suggests a bet on who can get information the fastest in regards to the mysterious evil.
05/19/12 Anark has a strange encounter with a Wolfen by the name of Hysto.
05/21/12 Katri studies her group a little more closely. She offers up her name, profession, and scare-tactic and thug-like services should they be necessary in gathering information on the shore.

05/28/12 Sabdrin excuses herself from the captain's cabin and shortly after, runs into the small boy on her way back below deck. Once on her cabin she is awoken by her spirit animal and converses with it. She sleeps soundly until the ship makes port.
06/05/12 Katri also excuses herself from Captain Wendyl's cabin and made her way toward the front of the ship, nearly running into Anark. A short time later, land is spotted and the Salutarius makes port.

Human:



Tall, strong, quick. Often wearing light armor, or heavy armor. Intelligent, able to become skilled in many weapons, including swords and bows, as well as all magic. The most compatible for a large selection of skills. The drawback, is they are only average in all skills, which lends to their ability to learn most things all around. Thus, growing in one, means leaving others behind to be picked up later.

Surface Elves:



Standing at or around 5'11, they have gold tinted skin, pointed ears, and slightly almond shaped eyes. Generally always with blue to green eyes the Elves are forest dwellers. With intellect beyond that of most other races. Quite commonly in Light armor, if any. Their defenses are small, and they are incapable of learning Dark Arts, mostly.

Drow:



Around 5’7”, lean, quick. Mostly wears light armor, for mobility. Fond of the Darker areas; as it reminds them of the underdark. Highly intelligent, Drow are the best spell caster when it comes to the power of a spell. Feared for the power of their spells, though they are often slower in casting than their Surface-bound cousins. They suffer from the same lack of defense, as the Surface elves as well.

Dwarves:



Short, and stocky. Wears heavy armor. Excellent night vision, and somewhat exceptional daylight vision. Proficient in navigating mazes, and caves. This race is quite powerful, their stout size allows for their muscles to be bound tighter together, making for harder blows and increased endurance. However, what they have in power and endurance, they lack in speed and agility; as well, many of them do not have an affinity for magic, but make up for it in their ability to build things in half the time it would take another race. There is the extremely rare dwarves mage.

Dragoniods:



This race is a rarity in of itself; being picked off by the Minotaur, due to their mutual distrust of each other. Capable of gliding several seconds, but not capable of extended flight. While smart in terms of the environment and battle tactics, they are quite dense in other areas, and lack speed a bit. This is made up by their strength and defense, the latter of which doesn’t hold up to a Dwarf’s. They are proficient in Magic, but not nearly as much as a human. They have their own language:

Yez kume'th stey gerzd cev menzi dezems = You come & stay guard cave many demon. (Word by word translation. But to the Dragonoid, they would interprate it as; "You can come in and stay but guard the cave from the enemies." or "You come in and stay here but watch out for the enemies." They rely on the tone and the body language of the speaker to determine just what or which statement he/she was referring to. For that statement could also mean, "You come in and stay so guard the cave of many demon."

Minotaur:



These are the powerhouses, good speed and strength, and their bull half is quite sturdy and strong enough to carry at most 3 good-sized humans. However, their agility is limited and they are quite apt to having a temper. In terms of magic, they are suited for casting magics on themselves, and their weapons, than for casting magic against other people; this however, is not uncommon. Their fur is commonly brown, gray, or black, but other colors are not uncommon. They tend to live around the Mountain of Sorrow, at the base of it.

Wolfen:



Tall, naturally large frames, typically in excellent physical condition due to adept living in harsh conditions. Primarily a weaponless race, their claws and teeth and hides filling the role other races reserve for an armory, though there are notable exceptions throughout Wolfen history, both heroes and villains. Wolfen society is made up of small packs, which are part of the singular Tribe. Historically the Tribe is reclusive, even compared to the wild creatures among which they traditionally live -- so until the most recent decades, most city folk did not truly even believe in their existence - though woodsmen have seen and sometimes fallen victim to Wolfen hunters and traps for generations. Wolfen people are solemn and reserved, but in battle they are known to be terrifyingly fierce. Their magic is rooted in nature, and their unique spirituality rejects the authority of other races' gods.

Goblins:



Marginally smaller than dwarves, in both stature and bulk. Goblins are lightfooted and they excell at camouflage. Wears light armor. They are forest dwellers next to Surface Elves, though shunned by them because of their strange rites and beliefs. Warriors of this folk favour vicious spears and blowpipes. Magic mainly consists of a volatile mixture of shamanic totem worship and invoking help from their deceased forefathers. Potent poisons and obscure curses are their weapons. When those fail a cavalry charge follows; imagine a horde of goblins riding on warthogs coming at you.

Tengu:



An evolved form of the birds, the Tengu are agile and cunning. They see themselves as better than the other races, believing themselves to be closer to the gods - being closer to the sky. Tengu can not fly freely, but can hover through winds, much like kites. They are not physically strong, and their light bones are quite brittle, meaning Tengu will generally avoid direct confrontations. Tengu see themselves as of a higher order than the other races, and therefore do not follow their rules nor listen to them. The Tengu will act as they must in the name of balance. Therefore, there are many potential confrontations between the other races and the Tengu, but also potential alliances.

Gods:
These are always NPC, and will only serve to bend the PCs in a certain direction. Unless a person prays to that God, specifically, they won’t see them if they show up. It is not necessary to believe in any God.

Michael:



The primary Human God; often appearing in a pristine set of armor. Those who pray to him often begets the worshipper more in the way of strength, battle prowess, and magical proficiency.

El’I:



The God of the Surface Elves; brother to the merciless God, Lloth. His teachings lend towards the way of good magic and how it affects the world we live in. Elves pray to him for guidance of their magic and protection of their home. El’i often grants a speed boost when it comes to spell casting.

Lloth:



The Black Goddess of the Drow. Most respect, fear, and love this Goddess, despite her tendency to be the harshest of the Gods. Drow pray to her and have recorded a boost to the strength of their spells.

Asclepius:



The Son of Apollo and mortal Coronis. Asclepius acquired the knowledge of surgery, the use of drugs, love potions and incantations from Chiron. With these gifts Asclepius exceeded the fringes of human knowledge. However, he offended the great god Zeus by accepting money in exchange for raising the dead. In the eyes of Zeus, Asclepius' action upset the natural order of the universe - a mere mortal helping man evade death. With one swift action, the great Zeus sent down a thunderbolt killing Asclepius. Realizing the good Asclepius had brought to man, the great Zeus made him into a god, placing him among the stars.

Abbathor:



The strong God of the Dwarves. Little is known about him, as most records show him constantly hammering away at his anvil; attempting to build a weapon, or material that outstrips anything before it. Dwarves have said that his blessings come in the form of better buildings and strength, something they value greatly. To his mages, though rare, he grants the slight skill of deciphering a spell after seeing it; though they are not able to use the spell, they can tell whenever it is used thereafter.

Ouroboros:



The God of the Dragonoids, and several snake-lizard-Dragon races in the world of Allaria. His true form is rarely seen, as it is often the form of the person he is appearing before. His mind state is psychotic at best, and his blessing give a boost to battle prowess, at the cost of a portion of sanity for a few turns.

Sargas:



The God of the Minotaur, a warrior rivaling that of Michael. Adorned in naught, his hide and skin are said to be the hardest a being can attain. Always carrying a mighty axe, said to be made by Abbathor. Strength and Defense are his blessings; plus a boost to the magical additions to the weapons of the Minotaur.

Movius:



Son of Loki and Giantess Angrboda was chained by the Norse gods. In a prophecy it is believed that he would help bring to pass the apocalypse and kill Odin himself. Since then he has been held captive in heaven bound by a magical chain forged by dwarven smiths of old, particularly the Dwarven God, Abbathor. He does not desire peace with the Gods. The only thing that he thirsts for is the blood of his captures. During the time spent in chains he has begun to send tendrils of his power to a chosen few Wolfen that can still hear him. He can grant to them a greater size, strength, and the cunning seemingly lost to wolf kind a millennium gone past. Those that take upon his mark, a tattoo that ranges throughout their fur will seek out his resting place, wishing to remove the sword between his teeth that keeps him from breaking his bonds. They will do whatever is necessary to accomplish this task.

Goblin Beliefs:



Goblins believe in reincarnation. They think goblinhood is the starting point of the voyage to enlightment. When a goblin dies it's spirit gets reborn in an animal. That's why totems - spirit animals - and the spirits of their forefathers are considered equal and worth worshipping. Both have ascended beyond the normal goblin and deserve tribute.

Their believe and worship of the local fauna clashes with the elves feelings towards nature in general. It however doesn't mean they don't eat meat, on the contrary, they are pure carnivores. After all with every animal they kill they help the spirits move up the ladder. Usually they employ lengthy and disturbing rituals after the kill, thanking the spirit for it's sacrifice and sending it on it's way.

Yin and Yang



These gods, worshipped by the Tengu, can manifest in any shape, and quite often manifest as a single entity. They are keepers of balance in the world. Since the Tengu worship these dieties, they will often think of themselves as protectors of balance.

Humanoid

Name:Banshee
Age: Measured in the hundreds (centuries)

Type: Humanoid

Appearance: Long, white, silky hair cascades down her shoulders. (All banshees are female.) She tends to wear white dresses like that of a bride, but no veil. She hovers in the air, so she tends not to wear any shoes. Her skin is pale, her throat constantly dry from her repeated screaming.

Personality/Mannerisms: Morbid, dark. Aggressive. Appears outside of the house or place where someone is going to die. Prefers the fog and dark.

Abilities: Not really teleportation, but a Banshee can fade from the physical plane (Thank you, Boxer) and appear in the "Astral Plane" (is that the term we're using? :P) for a couple of seconds, before deciding where to reappear in the physical plane again. A banshee can summon upon its daughters (Mini red devil things) with the simple gesture of its hands. Strategically, you should hunt the Banshee's daughters first, as they will gang up on you in groups if you let them live.

Strength: Darkness, Fog; any type of concealment.

Weakness: You can see the rift in the air wherever the Banshee is reappearing. Banshees scream a lot, for no reason whatsoever, so their position is almost always known; unless they are within the Astral Plane.

History: Banshees are powerful creatures, and as such are not believed to be real. There is almost no proof that Banshees exist at all, as they only appear when someone is near death. There are certain banshees who are attached to a particular family, and when someone in that family is hurt, the Banshee screams. This heralds the death of someone, anyone, somewhere on the planet.

Name: No definite name; nicknamed "Gardener(s)" for their appearance and habitat.

Age: Not known, however, they have rings on their back like that of a tree. Usually six or seven, so it is easy to conclude that 600-700 years is their average age.

Type: Humanoid with Insectoid qualities

Appearance: Slender and tall. They have two long antennae protruding from the middle of their skulls. (Their foreheads.) They practically lack a face, with the exception of their mouths. Their vision is black and white, and they can only see with the use of their antennae. (Hint Hint: Attack their antennae) They all wear different things. As they are similar to Human's anatomically, they wear the clothing of whatever human they have killed.

Personality/Mannerisms: Silent, semi-intelligent. Not aggressive, but will attack on sight. They usually sleep during the day, and jump unsuspecting people at night. They are light sleepers, and will go after you if you are too loud. A way to avoid this is to stay away from a buzzing noise, which is what they make when they are asleep. The are only seen in forests.

Abilities: Regeneration. The only thing that can't regenerate is there head...and genitalia. They can dismember one of their limbs and use it as a projectile. If you cut it or something and are sprayed with their blood, it will deteriorate your skin. Other than that, they only fight with whatever weapons their human suppliers have left them.

Strength: Close ranged and far ranged. Corrosive blood. (The blood's green, F.Y.I) Can arouse its mates with a high pitched screech-- if its allies sync their own screeches with it, it can awaken other creatures from all around the forest.

Weakness: The "Gardeners" are very curious, and if you do something that will make them wonder, they won't attack you and will instead stare at you creepily. Occasionally their bodies will "jam up", and won't regenerate. When this happens, all of the others will get scared and disperse into the trees. (If they are with others, of course.

The woods fey are spirits of nature that have taken a body of plants, most commonly a tree. They cannot leave the forest they were born in. They have some skill in using magic. They are humanoid in shape for most of their life. At the late stages of their hundreds of years long lifespan they begin growing and they become slower. Until eventually they grow roots and become trees once again. The spirit stays in the tree until the tree dies. Such trees are highly magical and are featured in folklore. The Sidhe can communicate with these elder Fey of the woods on a basic level, not words but feeling and intentions.

The earth fey are spirits of earth that inhabit a body of rocks. They are held together by the magic the spirit commands. And so they cannot use magic for other purposes. Their body is hard to destroy and they have great strength. They are mostly dormant but will become very aggressive if disturbed. They cannot leave the mountain they were born in.

The wind fey are spirits of storm and wind that have gathered a semi-corporeal body of swirling winds. They can be peaceful or destructive, bringing a cool breeze or a great storm. The wind fey may attack those caught in the storms. They are confined to follow the wind wherever it takes them.

Destructive spirits of fire that gain a body in the flames of large fires. Short lived, since they die with the fires. They like to consume, and will do so with extreme prejudice.

Spirits of waters living in the seas and lakes. Capable of forming a body out of the water in which they reside. Cannot leave the body of water they are bound to. Not usually aggressive but may attack those that spend time on the shores or in the waters in which the fey is bound.

A basilisk is a rare variety of legless dragon. Their face is dominated by five pairs of large, brightly coloured eyes. Basilisks demonstrate the ability to control the movements of each of their eyes and eyelids with exact timing and precision. They use this ability to mesmerize any creature that looks at them with a hypnotic display of eye movement and blinking. This dazes the victim and leaves them vulnerable to the basilisk’s venomous bite, which induces rigid full-body paralysis. The hypnosis caused by looking into a basilisk’s eyes wears off shortly after eye contact is broken, but basilisks move extremely quickly.

The vardosaur is an uncommon variety of dragon which lives in thickly wooded areas. It is a slow, powerful lizard without wings. Its stomach acid is made up of a chemical which, when vomited, mixes with another highly flammable chemical which is released from the saliva glands and bursts into flame. The vardosaur hunts by spewing fire and burning down patches of woodland before picking through the charred remains and eating whatever carcasses it finds.

Glamhyr’s dragons are about the size of a grown man’s hand. Their mouths are filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth. These flying lizards hunt in swarms of approximately sixty members. When hunting, they ambush their prey and overwhelm them by sheer force of numbers, killing their victim one bite at a time. It is said that drinking the blood of these dragons can cure insanity, but it is not recommended that one try and collect it.

There is only one recorded sighting of an emperor dragon: gargantuan, gold-scaled, its terrifying roar powerful enough to strip entire forests. The beating of its wings stirred gale-force winds in the village from where it was seen. It is unknown where it was going or from where it came. Aside from this sighting, the only other knowledge of this type of dragon is a draconic skeleton lying in the mountains which fills an entire valley.

Burrowing Drakes pose a threat for anyone risking a journey across the badlands. These wingless lizards live in complex warrens which generally lead to nearby oases, hiding in the earth waiting for creatures to stray past. They sense their prey with feelers protruding from the snout which detect tremors in the earth. When their victim is close enough, they erupt from the earth, spewing clouds of dust and sand from a specialized sac in their throat in order to cloud their victims’ vision. The Drake will then attempt to drag this unfortunate creature back into the hole from which it came. While it is possible to survive an attack from a burrowing drake, no one that has ever been dragged back into the beast’s warren has survived.

Tholgrods inhabit mountainous and other winter-locked areas. These hulking primates resemble gorillas. They walk on all fours, hunched, using their knuckles. The colour of their fur allows them to blend in with their environment. While not sentient, they are nevertheless incredibly cunning and sometimes wield crude weapons such as bones or clubs. Generally, they employ their gigantic, skull-crushing hands and feet, or their powerful fang-lined jaws. Waigrods hunt alone but often return to communal nests.

Trolls are cousins of the waigrod, except that they are darker and far larger in stature. They differ in that they are not as intelligent and rely more on brute strength along with their immense claws. Glands in their jaws allow them to secret venom through their canines. Male trolls are significantly bigger than females and a band of trolls consists of approximately one male and six females. They are extremely territorial and male trolls will cannibalize each other if given the chance.

The Wolpertinger is a rabbit-type mammal with a pair of season antlers, sharp fangs and owl wings. Wolpertingers are generally herbivores in nature and will fly away if startled. They are very rare, only found within mountain ranges, producing a smaller litter than rabbits. Due to their unusual appearance, they are often hunted but rarely seen. These creatures are omnivores, commonly feasting on dead animals and insects.

A creature heavily influenced by the presence of magic, they have developed into beautiful creatures with large feathers. When they open their tail feathers, they tend to shake them, releasing a type of shining purple dust as they do so. Despite their bright colours, they are extremely hard to find while only the Sidhe know where they reside.

While they resume the old Dodo’s size and shape, they have taken on more reptilian facial features with long years and a large multicoloured crest that runs down the neck. Their body is covered in thick feathers but still, like their deceased brethren, they cannot fly but have developed a charge technique which can prove fatal to smaller creatures. The Dodo has been heavily influenced by magical energies and will often change colour in the sun depending on the time of day. Despite their form, they are still not the smartest of creatures and will approach new creatures out of curiosity.

A cockerel which has the tail of a snake and a vicious gaze. Much smaller than its relative, the Basilisk, it is quick and can turn creatures to stone with its gaze. The stone state is non-lethal and will wear off eventually but if the cockatrice was to gaze into a mirror, it would die. They are generally avoided, said to be another mutant breed, but can be easily killed if ambushed from behind.

The fairy is a creature that often glows so brightly that its true form is rarely seen; it's true form consist of an insect-like humanoid body with two large, clear eyes, four limbs and opposable thumbs. The body is human in shape but possesses an insect's abdomen; their head is very human except for the large insect-like eyes but their petite mouths are human in shape. Their body is a black colour when they cease to shine while their abdomen produces fairy dust as they hover and fly. The fairy dust is a potent substance, causing paralysing effects for them to easily catch their only known prey of insects; when they're not going after insects, they prefer to eat plant-life instead.

Maynads are carnivorous plants. They consist of a bulb, flower, and vast lengths of vine. They reside in the canopy, supported by a network of taut vines. More vines are laid out on the ground beneath where the maynad hangs. When weight is detected on these vines, the maynad’s web relaxes and it plummets onto whatever unfortunate creature has triggered its trap. Its massive blood red petals spread out and blanket the victim. The pollen within sedates the victim and the petals enfold it. Afterwards, the maynad hoists itself back into the canopy and digests its catch.

Umuru are huge golden bulbs of buoyant gas anchored to other trees by their extremely long, durable stems and parasitic root systems. Leafy growths atop the bulbs allow them to process sunlight for food. The gas inside these bulbs is extremely toxic but the skin of these bulbs contains a chemical which makes them repellent to Glamhyr’s dragons; this repellent means they are a valuable commodity to travellers.

Ghost leopards are an elusive animal that haunt rainforests. They are capable of vanishing the moment no one is observing them and appearing where they are least expected. The mechanism behind this is unknown, but it is said that the ancestor of these leopards drank from Khanang's Fountain, and was imbued with this mystical power.

Asjudim is a single animal. It appears at random to lonely travellers or small groups. It seems that no wound can kill it. Numerous travellers have been slain by it in the mountains. It can be outrun or hidden from and in this scenario it will disappear without a trace.

The tyrant lord Tifurael, whose latent power owed to the demon that resided in his flesh, surrounded himself with owls for they were his favourite animal. When he was slain at the climax of the Battle of Xandau, his carcass was left in the highest room of his tower. His owls, trapped with him, eventually consumed his flesh, and each became demonically possessed. These owls have a tendency to perch on window sills at night, whispering ill omens and bringing bad tidings.

Werebeasts are animals that transform from one type of animal into another at night time and back again during the day. The cause of these transformations is unknown and very rare. They are intelligent and could understand languages; very rarely would there be an unintelligent imp. They are commonly used as house servants while they sleep in tightly enclosed areas.

The Rats have long since evolved from their previous forms into something else. Still taking on the form of what was once known as the Rattus Rattus, these rats have grown in size, intelligence and can walk on their back legs with ease. They have developed thumbs from the stumps that once were, now almost resembling a human in movement. Once thought to be a new race, they are still classed as a creature due to their size. Cleanliness is their top priority and, due to this, are often recruited as common house maids and servants.

Generally seen as a nuisance, these lizards have fiery spines and tails; they don't have eyes and instead sniff their way about. Larger breeds of Salamander have been found, some have even mutated to immeasurable sizes due to their varied gene-pool and easily influenced DNA.

Often thought to had been a joke created by mages, they have long since reproduced rapidly and become a pest in places.

A type of wild dog which is naturally born with two heads with identical brains; they are thought to have been mutants. Favoured as guard dogs, they are often used to fend off invaders but are generally seen as a pest or hazard to travellers. Rarely will they attack but when they do, they tend to go for the arms or legs first due to their awkward form. Sometimes they are tamed and made docile, however, they are still seen as mutants and generally discouraged as pets.

Environment: Caves, forests, tunnels. Smaller varieties sometimes found in cities.

A scavenger with vicious teeth and flighty temperaments. Their bodies store energy particularly well, and they eat a surprisingly small fare for survival. When food is plentiful they are known to swarm and gorge themselves, putting on huge amounts of weight. Disease-bearers, pests, and nuisance creatures. Their nickname "King Rat" is well earned. They are nervous by nature and prone to fleeing; only dangerous when cornered, or when they crawl on your food.

THE UNDEAD

Size comparison: Depends on the skeleton of the creature/race
Color: Pale, sometimes burnt.

The basic servant of the undead. Sometimes summon-able at will, it can prove to be the perfect tool for any necromancer to use. They will do whatever the necromancer wants, without any soul tied to their weary bones. They are disposable and perfect for practice.

Size comparison: Depends on the size of creature/race.
Color: Sickly green and blackened with dried blood.

The zombie is the standard meatshield, handy for cleaning up corpses by eating them piece by piece. The zombie is considered general necromancy other than beginners, able to be summoned where ever a corpse may be located. The zombie tends to be standard, slow and pretty useless when it comes to pursuit.

Size comparison: 5 to 6 foot.
Color: Bloody red at most times, skin tends to be grey and yellow.

A ghoul tends to be a more fleshy counterpart of the skeleton servant although they generally share the same purpose; although, the ghoul is more for violence. The ghoul is a crouching, mutated corpse with large claws, flat feet and huge, sharp teeth in elongated jaws. Sometimes wrapped in bandages and their former clothes, these humanoid undead are vicious, mindless and very hungry for flesh. The standard zombie mutant; however, sometimes the soul may still be attached to the ghoul but will stay loyal to the master with possible use of speech.

Size comparison: Anything from small in size to twice the size of a human.
Color: Mostly black, sometimes grey or white.

The wraith is a ghost which wears black clothes while a skeleton figure can be seen beyond the hood, a tortured soul which haunts the place close to where it died. Generally aggressive, it will protect its place of death and is unwilling to leave the area where it died. The wraith rarely causes physical damage but mentally, it can torture any lonely traveller which may come across its death place. Wraiths are seen as an omen of some sort but rarely mean death, despite its grim appearance.

Color: Rarely seen but thought to be pale in color.

A poltergeist is a ghost with such an aggressive nature that it will physically move objects to either startle or cause physical harm. Rarely seen, they will move from object to object, causing them to come to life through the poltergeists willpower. They are rarely if never found outside a building; however, a poltergeist is a very rare find and often creates areas of magical interest.

Color: Grey, blacks, browns and often caked with blood.

A large creature which has fallen victim to necromancy. They become warped, skinny in appearance but the compressed muscle makes their skin act like body armour. Their body has twisted and mutated, growing huge claws while their forearms and paws become enlargened with muscle, their jaws point sharp teeth outwards, their eyes become blackened and large while their most notable feature is their long spiked spine. The Spinebeast is hungry for blood, not afraid to turn on their masters in an attempt to retrieve it. They are a very difficult minion to control and often left to the hands of advanced necromancy; a level that is very rarely matched in the art.

Fleshbeasts are generally beasts created from discarded flesh, the flesh held together by a high level of necromancy. They can range from any size, to a rabbit size to the size of the house; it all depends on the amount of flesh at the necromancer's disposal. FAQ

Tech Level: As this is a medieval world, everything will be as it was in that timeline, though ingenious inventions happen all the time. Therefore, there may be shimmers of the first sprouting of clockwork, nothing extremely large and certainly no firearms past crossbows.

Magic and how it works: In ‘An Imagined World’ magic is present everywhere, however, it is unable to manipulated by anyone who isn’t heavily trained in the magics of the universe. Because of this, people manipulate their own magic reserves(Their soul) to cast their magic. This has both consequences and rewards. On the good side, this opens up the world to a non-structured set of magic, by that, I mean, the type of magic is not limited to certain things, but there are still limits(Time/Space Manipulation is out; Reality; and extreme teleportation. Anything else is up to scrutiny, anything seen as overpowered, will be denied). On the bad side, you are casting your own soul when using magic, however, it DOES slowly replenish itself the longer you go without using magic. Healing, is allowed by those who specialize in it, and they are every rare. Most healers have no other skills past healing, as they are often used to in places where battle skills are unneeded. Also, with healing, healing magical wounds are often harder to do by magical means(Soul vs. Soul). It is possible, but it requires a longer period to do.

Magical Limits: I ask that people who choose magic, do so and forego, for the most part, major skills in more physical combat. Like, if you choose to manipulate(Including creating) fire, I would like it if you were not able to fight on par, always, with someone who went the physical route. There is a way to circumvent this, however, and that is using the magic purely on yourself and/or weapon. Say if you were manipulating lightning in a weapon sense; you’d only be able to use it in the form of arrows(If a bow and arrow were your weapon choice), or in conjunction with your fists or sword to give a shock(dependent on the strength of the spell). You get the gist. At the start, your magic may be relatively weak, growing as you progress in the story. Also, each soul has certain things it can do; a fire-related soul, for instance, won’t be able to do anything wildly differing from fire. Magic, as it stands, cannot be used to make a weapon composed completely of fire, doing so would consume a lot of a person’s soul, if not it in its entirety.

Character Type: This differs from race, as it goes more into profession. Not all of you have to be wanderers, nor do all of you have to be specific mages or warriors; add some variety, throw in some everyday folk.

Skills: Yes, there will be skill castes in this RP. Ranging from most things your mind can think of. Being an advanced RP, I would expect that you would come in with something sensible - A Major and a Minor.

Created Race(s): Assuming they are in order, I will allow them, because I am aware that the pre-determined races lack an aquatic leaning race. I am also aware, many people might not like the predetermined races. When creating a race, you’ll need to pick a God(Grants somewhat of a bonus to their main race and to a chosen skill(Magic, Strength, Speed, etc.) for them, and have a Council member for them.

Starting Level: At the beginning, I want everyone to start as novices/beginneers/noobs, in their chosen fields(See: Class/Skills), so as the story progresses the characters can develop, instead of starting off outright good at what they do. A baker/cook would cook for the group, during downtimes, and eventually get better at it, after cooking not so good meals.

Spirit Animals: These characters are physical, or metaphysical, representations of your spirit and what it represents. They act as spiritual guides, and can sometimes be used by god’s to convey thoughts to their spirit’s vessel. The closer a person is to their animal, the stronger his/her magic will become. At the beginning, most are only able to get their animal in the form of a hazy imprint; as time progress it’s ghostly presences comes about, and finally a physical specimen. Non-magical people have animals as well. Using a lot of magic causes the animal, if manifested, to slowly deplete based on how much magic you spent. Completely losing it, causes it to revert back into your body and be unable to summon(Cutting off your magic) the animal until sufficiently recovered.

What is a Spirit Animal?

A spirit animal is the animal shape a person’s spirit takes when manifested to the Physical Plane, or any plane for that matter. The animals vary from person to person, though common animals can be found amongst a variety of people. Animals such as Ouroboros, are exclusive, as are other unique animals. Commonly, when not manifested, they reside in the Spirit Plane, conflicting the belief that a person is still has a human form in the Plane, which is possible. Anyone can manifest a Spirit Animal, which will do as they command without fail, however, they are proportionately as strong as their owner. Some animals, like Ouroboros, have been ‘awakened’, which is to say, the Five Seals: Heart, Mind, Body, Spirit, Power, were used to manifest them.

Two types of Animal Manifestations;

1) Semi-Complete Manifestation:

This manifestation is the most common, if people play to their characters knowledge of spirit animals correctly. Most people, when first summoning their animal, would only bring about a faint imprint of the animal. This imprint moves about like a Completely Manifested Animal, albeit it cannot effect anything, or anyone.

2) Complete Manifestation:

Complete manifestation, refers to the commonality of the Spirit Animal taking a corporeal form, instead of a spiritual one. This manifestation relies fully on the trust and connection between a person and their spirit. Even those with a rocky connection with their Spirit can achieve this manifestation. These types can effect the world around them, just as any animal of their type could, with the exception of mating. This manifestation is what is sought after once people realize they can manipulate their Spirit Animal.

Spirit Animals and Human Forms?

Spirit Animals can be manifested in human forms, by their own power. Often, when they do so, they retain some resemblance to their animal forms. This resemblance is sometimes characterized as an affinity, or often a pet, for another animal. Ouroboros, as an example, keeps a pet snake with him, known as Tsh’Rael. Though an animals own power gives it a human shape, the master of the spirit need input some type of strength to the animal, if they want the human shape to last longer. Trust is key with this Manifestation, for without it, the Human shaped Animal is prone to venture off and do it’s own thing, listening to it’s master’s orders only when their own wants warrant it.

Awakening;

This term refers to the fact that animals were subjugated with the use of the Five Seals of Life; Heart, Body, Power, Mind, Spirit. With the usage of such seals, the animal is automatically pulled into a Complete Manifestation. The process requires the participant to allow someone else complete access to their spirit, which often means traveling to the Animal’s natural home. Due to this, the animal comes to understand the lengths it’s master would go through to make it powerful and achieve it’s full potential. Often, the animals that are commissioned by this method are considered more powerful than those that are naturally manifested, though they grow more powerful at a slower rate. The only known person, with the ability to awaken spirits, has been Rilla.

Glossary And Such:

Apotheoses: Is the name of the main group of protagonists. It also means "The highest point in the development of something; culmination or climax," as well as, "The elevation of someone to divine status; deification."

Messaging: Sending a message is often a painful process. If a bad guy is transcribing a message, then it is often particularly painful. Sending a message requires a person to transcribe the message on their own spirit animal, and sending it to another person. Their animal then transfer themselves into someone else(and cannot effect anything), taking them over and speaking through them. Often, the afflicted takes on the animal traits.

Messenger: Messengers are a type of playable character, often characterized by numerous tribal-like tattoos. They are often the go between, between the Old Council and the world.

* Including a new character species will result in them being added to the overall list. Most likely I'll ask you if I can add them, your chances increase of using the character race if it is allowed for wide usage.
