Overpowered in the sense he has like 5 abilities instead of one. I'm allowing it cos the powers are closely related, like Glen's immortality and fast healing.
And they're obviously going to be let out once in a while, otherwise they will all be socially inept and have no idea how the world works or what it's like so he'd have friends outside the facility.

If it's all focused on his healing ability then I presume his other skills suffer for it.

So our characters don't all have science expiriment syndrome, well that changes things drastically. But that means that the whole project was never meant to be secret.

It just doesn't make sense why the researchers would allow their pet project to run free. Even so, after he ran off with the band how dod SXM catch him and bring him back? Considering that, how did they reform him, or did they not?

Now that I think of it, those destructive habits would kill other 14 year

He lives in the base. He doesn't feel any particular resentment towards them, and mostly just likes to annoy superior officers and go against their orders. Why wouldn't he go back?

I'd imagine that as he's the most aggressive member of the team they wouldn't want him "reformed" but rather see him as an asset.

And he's 16.

Fair enough,but his drug spree started at 14 or maybe earlier. Do drug sprees usually start at that age, I thought you were at least a few years older before that sort of thing.

We almost have enough people I think.

Irrelevant information: Drug sprees before puberty are really, really bad, because preteens take only half a year to go into physical dependency for alcohol at least - and I imagine for other stuff, too. Also, lethal doses are measured by kilogram, so younger people don't need as much to kill themselves.
Of course, with a completely different physiology, he might not be physically addicted.
