We need to find a median between two years and two weeks.
A game that lasts 2 years?

Not sure if you meant to use "your" or "you're"?
What Nex said. Like, 6 months or something. Something that will keep it short and sweet, but also reward long-term investments and biding-your-time tactics.

Frankly, I don't see any point in putting a specific end to it. I suggest we go at whatever pace, and if we reach the end too soon, we just extend it into another age for a lil' bit. If we're going too slow, just speed it up; the years/day seems like an easy thing to manipulate.

What I'm proposing IS a speed up
10 years = day
Having it speed up and slow down randomly wouldn't work - it would be too...well, random

So are you planning on cutting the game off at two and a half months?

That would be the idea. Award Victory Points and then create the next Age of, specifically Age of Warlords

I suppose that would work, but VC might not be such a hot idea. It might make a clear winner, but if the system you use to determine everyone's scores isn't practically perfect, people will complain that this style of play or that didn't award enough VP.
Plus, it would take the focus away from RPing and intrigue to min-maxing and powerhousing to victory.
Unless you don't tell anyone their VP until the end... Hmm..

VP is calculated at the end, based on...well, we're not sure yet.
My idea is that the top three (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) could get a small benefit at the start of the next Age of, as a reward. Or at the very least, we could keep an 'Age of' Highscore list somewhere
