Atrium: School for the Gifted

"Oh is it bothering you?" I whispered, not moving an inch. "It's not a reason to blush, I think you like me." I said more as a statement, not intending to sound cocky.

"N-no it's not bothering me", she said, her eyes looking at the water. Then she felt a bit jumpy when he asked her if she liked him. She had no choice but to tell now, seeing that she never lies. She looked at him and nodded her head to his question of her feelings.

-Kaito-
"Ahhh, so I was right." I can't say it's news but it's not like I care either. "That's fine, although you don't really need to be embarrassed about it, liking someone isn't wrong. "

"I-I know, but for me it's kinda different. From my previous school, not a lot of guys like me because I'm quiet and too nice. Rika had all the attention and I didn't mind really. I was kinda hoping that I could hide it, but looks like I couldn't", she said, giving him a small smile.

"You mean those who's shallow, do you really want someone like that to like you? To want you for your looks alone? But don't worry about it, I don't really mind, hey I can be your gay friend, I believe everyone has one." I nudged her playfully. "Anyways don't be embarrassed, be honest with yourself, I'm quite used to it and as long as you don't start following me everywhere, attempting to sky on me I'm fine with it." I half joked as I turned away from her too see what Steven and Rika was up to.

"No I don't want those type of guys", she said. She giggled a bit when he nudged her, then saw him turn away. 'I don't think you're completely gay. Anyway, I think I gotten my answer', she sighed mentally. She floated around, before going back underwater. She let out bubbles of air and using her powers to clump them together and placing it around her head so she could breath and started swimming around.

Steven was floating leisurely on the water, watching Katio and smiled. Rika was starting to wake up, reaching for a sub sandwich and eating it.

I started floating around on my back again, staring at the sky. It's getting really late and I'm a tad tired, perhaps it's time for us to hit the sack soon. I do wonder if they plan to go to their own room or crash with us. I floated over to Steven and splashed some water on him before I turned serious. "Okay don't get your hopes up as I know you saw us, but I think she's good company. That's all. Sure I enjoyed that kiss but that doesn't mean anything." I found myself rambling and I stopped myself before I made it worse.

((Time for bed, night night.))

Steven looked at Katio and wiped the water from his face. "Alright if you say so", he said. "Note that I wasn't being sarcastic."

((Momentarily on my phone, you responded so quickly lol. Now I swear, I need to go... that last step is really hard haha.))

"I'm sure you weren't... Anyways what do you say, should we get going? I assume we have to go to classes tomorrow. if you want you can invite the girls, I'm sure you don't mind sleeping with either of them.... That came out wrong. I mean sleeping as in actually sleeping. " I laughed playfully.

"Yeah I guess so and maybe they should sleep in their own rooms this time", he said. "Don't need to start another argument between you and Rika."
