Yeah, she kind of turned into a load on the show; which makes me wonder what's gonna happen to her on the show. I know what happens to her in the comic, though.

The comic seems completely different - I haven't read it myself, but my friends talk about it a lot

It is completely different; for the most part. They purposely changed stuff so the people who were reading the comic book wouldn't know what was going to happen. For instance, in the comic, Shane's been dead since one of the very early chapters. As in, before double digits early.

Yeah, it does. The basic plot is still the same, though the biggest plot difference I guess is that they never went to the CDC in the comics.
