Alex kept on the side of the road as he made his way to his next destination, though as he walked he felt as if the fog itself was following him, like a predator following its unknowing pray and waiting for the perfect time to strike. Looking back for a moment Alex couldn't help but feel uneasy about it, it was like the fog was trying to consume not just him, but everything about him, mind and soul. It was an eerie feeling to say the least, but as long as it wasn't pitch black Alex was going to be fine with it, he had the flash light after all right?

Turning back he raised the flash light to discover that he had finally made it to where he was meant to be going, and how did he know he was at the right place? Well as he raised his flash light he saw a large cartoon pig dressed in a chef's garb, a big grin on his face as he held up a large plate of pork. "Heh nice to meet you Porky" Alex joked, he was pretty sure that not just any place had this sign on top of their place other than 'Porky's Pork Shack'. Alex was glad that he had finally been able to smile, though he had more important things to worry about than his new best friend Porky. Scanning the area in front of him with his flash light he saw the 'Open' sign, but there was no one inside, well that he could tell. "Well Its better than nothing" He reminded himself. However as he was about to head off...

    *Tap, tap, tap, tap*

Footsteps getting closer and closer. The sound of shoes hitting concrete seems to echo throughout the area... The most primal of emotions seemed to over take Alex as he stood frozen in fear. Normally he wouldn't be threatened like this, in fact in a normal situation he would have just turned around and see who it was, however; this was not normal. After just getting out from the car crash and the fog digging into his soul, Alex's adrenaline was flowing, causing him to react without really thinking!

Turning on his heel Alex tried to bring around his left fist to try and land a hay-maker on whoever it was before they could have a chance to attack him! However the figure moved out of the way of his strike with little effort, causing Alex to stumble slightly in front of the figure. As soon as the baseball bat like object was pulled out Alex's heart raced, he knew he was no fighter and now this person had a weapon! Just like that the weapon struck him on the shoulder; a shot of pain coursing through him as the bruises from the car crash didn't help much, though other than that he was fine... Why didn't the figure attack him somewhere else? Alex was wide open for a attack, well thats when he saw the error that he had made...

Before Alex was a woman dressed in a blue uniform with a few recognizable items on her belt, and the badge pinned on the front of it, and right away Alex knew that she was a police officer, though a little pissed off at the fact Alex had just tried to attack her it seemed. At first Alex didn't answer her question about if he had come back to his senses, only giving a nod and looking to the badge and ID she presented to him. Though normally not a people person Alex thought that maybe this was the right time to at least get along with the cop that he had just attacked... "My name is Alex Warren. I came here on holiday but... I ended up crashing my car to avoid something..." He pointed back along the road, though the fog had long since obscured the sight of his car, though there was plenty of proof in the form of the cut on his head and the few other bruises on his hands and such. "Sorry I attacked you, its just I'm more than a little shaken up."

The cop noticed that you had gone back to normal thanks to the small nod. She also noted how you got here by car crash, and upon closer examination she could tell that you were pretty banged up. "Come on, let's go inside here and I will get you patched up the best I can" she tells you as she grabs your arm, opens the door, and practically drags you inside. After that she sits you down at a table and pulls out a mini First Aid Kit from her pocket and begins to work on your wounds.

(First Aid Kit Health Heal (1d100 Roll for moving around after usage without resting): 5 Health Healed)

(Second attempt with a second First Aid Kit: 45)

The first attempt did not really do much, you were more banged up then the cop thought you were so a good amount of pain was still there. Luckily she had a second one. This time she managed to get the wounds more skillfully and was able to patch you up better. The pain was still there a tiny bit, but that would go away in no time at all.

"Now that that is over, I need to ask you an important question" she tells you. She digs into her pocket and pulls out a photo of a man. "Have you seen this individual, he is an escaped convict named Max Koballion, I am in search of him here as there are reports that he came to this town". After letting him examine the photo, she put it back into her pocket. After that she reached to her belt and pulled out one of the .45s on her waist and 1 magazine of ammunition.

"Take these, he may be dangerous and if you encounter him you can defend yourself with this, also..."
she pauses as she sets the items down on the table next to you. "I have a strange feeling that you may need it later as well...call it cop's intuition". She said this last phrase in a darker, more serious tone than her normal tone of speaking as you heard. After that she begins to walk out of the diner. "Well I have to leave now, please be careful Alex".

After that farewell she walked out of the diner, leaving you there with the weapon she left behind on the table for you. Perhaps the creepiness you were feeling was the fact that a criminal was in this town and that he could murder you at any moment.

Or was it something else, some other greater evil that was unsettling your mind...

Whatever the case may be you are now armed and feel alot safer than before. Perhaps a good look around the diner would give you something you could use?

Alex smiled softly as it seemed the cop had believed him, though it wasn't like he was lying, he had no point to since he was the one that crashed to avoid taking a life. After almost commanding Alex to come along the cop started to pull him along towards a near by diner, causing Alex to his a small grunt in pain, though it was only a small bit of pain. He didn't have time to look around as the cop sat down at a table and pulled out a mini First Aid Kit from her pocket and then went to work on his wounds.

He could hardly believe how nice Sasha was being, or Officer Sasha as he was told to call her, though after she patched him up he had to say he felt more friendly given that she had stopped the bleeding on his head. The pain was still there a tiny bit, but that would go away in no time at all, bruises wouldn't slow him down any either. Looking up to Sasha as she was talking Alex couldn't help but wonder why she was there, after all her badge didn't say she was from silent hill, though that was soon answered. After looking over the picture that Sasha produced, Alex shook his head, if he had seen him he was sure that the outfit would have given him away, but either way the only other people he saw was Sasha and the one that he had caused him to crash his car... Though that person soon disappeared...

"No I haven't seen that man before. The only other person I seen was the one on the road that caused me to crash. Though they were no where near the size of this guy so it couldn't have been him"

After Sasha put away the photo and started take a gun out, of course Alex was a little nervous but when she she said to take them for his own safety Alex was not going to argue in obtaining a legal brand new gun. He was about to reach over and take the gun and ammo but then Sasha said something that caused him to pause, speaking in a darker, more serious tone than her normal tone of speaking.

Slumping back down into the seat he pulled the gun towards him as Sasha began to walk out of the diner, though after she said to be careful Alex stood up. "Wait!" Hopefully it would cause her to pause to at least listen to him. "I have a radio so I'll leave it on a open channel in cause you need to get hold of me or the other way around ok? Also... Thank you" After that farewell she walked out of the diner, Alex was left behind to sort himself out. Though he still had that chill running down his spine he couldn't help but feel safer with a gun at his side.

Taking off his knapsack he opened it up to take the radio from it and place the magazine of ammo inside one of the easy to reach pockets on it. Sealing it back up he put it on his back once again before taking the pistol and place it snugly where he could reach it quickly. The radio on the other hand was clipped tightly onto Alex's back pocket and switched on, making sure to turn down the volume if their was static but not enough so he couldn't hear it. "Well better stick to the plan... What there is of it." Porky's Pork Shack was where he was now, and since it was empty he may as well take a look around for things, the kitchen would be his best bet first. However before he did he took a look around the tables and floors as he walked, just in case there was something he could pick up on his way to the kitchen, where was his next search would start.

(Scavenging Skill Intelligence Check: 72 (61 Roll + 11 Intelligence), Success)

As you ran through the street, nothing seemed to come after you and entering the cafe came with ease due to the fact that it was opened. Upon a search of the place you find a couple of items that may prove useful. You find a pack of cigarettes that have about 2 left in them and a Lighter to go with it to light the Cigarettes. Among other things you find most are useless, except for one strange thing.

You found a laptop computer still plugged into the wall sitting on the table. You figure that it will be useless to carry along with you, but somehow it still seems to be turned on and still has full power. You look at the screen and notice a strange article on it and begin to read:

It appears that not but two weeks ago seven children mysteriously disappeared in this seemingly peaceful town known as Silent Hill. Now today another seven will disappear as well in accordance to the ---

That is where the article cuts off. You try to scroll down using the touch pad, but it does not seem to work. There is no mouse in sight either and all of the keys on the keyboard do not seem to work. You notice that the battery icon on the bottom of the screen indicates that unplugging the laptop will turn it off as there is no battery installed in the laptop. You decide that it is best to just leave it alone for now and come back later, maybe you could find a Mouse somewhere to allow you to read the rest of it.

The article had no date, but the strange thing was about the six children disappearing today. While you have no idea what that could possibly mean, and what could it be in accordance of? This thought sends a chill down your spine.

After a search of the rest of the building the only other item you seem to find that is of use to you is the Butcher Knife. It would certainly prove a much better weapon than the small Knife you already wield.

Suddenly as you find the Butcher Knife in the kitchen, you hear a crash and the shattering of glass coming from inside of the cafe. Upon looking out of the kitchen you spot a strange ape/human like creature that is laughing dementedly as it leaps around the cafe.

While you could hide and let it go away, you notice that as it leaps from table to table it smashes whatever it is in the path. The precious laptop computer could be in danger if you let it continue. Of course, you could be in danger if you go out and fight it, but you are armed, so you have a chance. Not only that, but if you were to go out a-firing your gun, you would have the element of surprise on it.

Ace looked at the computer, reading most of the words until it was cut off. What was it in accordance to? Why would children be taken today? He shuddered at the thought, and went behind the counter of the cafe, resting his arms against the table. This was pretty damned crazy, but as far as he knows, he is crazy. A few minutes later something kept jumping on the tables, and the doctor got a clear view of it. Everything it kept jumping on, however, kept being obliterated by its insane amount of weight. The laptop was in danger, and it held some information to this town and perhaps how this happened. Ace grabbed his pistol out of the holster, preparing for a attack.

Loretta scoffed to herself, looking down in the long knife sitting beside her in the passenger seat. Had she ran out the backdoor knife still in hand? She picked it up and slid her finger down the cool, flat side of the blade, remembering the struggle that was still fresh in her mind. She saw the last look look of fear, panic and a tinge of betrayal as she pushed the knife in her father's flesh for the last time. She closed her eyes and gripped the base of the knife trying to push the thought out of her mind.

On further inspection of the car, she found her father's old lighter, his strong cigarettes, a soda or two, a radio and a handy little bag to carry all in. She put all of the items in the bag and slung it over her shoulder. She didn't want to look to threatening to anyone she might find, she wanted there pity, not to scare them off, though she put the knife in the bag in manner that if could be retrieved quickly, just in case.

After she adjusted the weight of the little bag, she was off in a little jog towards Silent hill, her feet felt like they where almost moving on there own, her body wanting to get away, from what, she wasn't really sure.

Nothing. Nothing and nobody. No replies to his shouts, no sign of anyone even being here. There wasn't even litter on the streets. No signs of bird or dog crap. It was...pristine. Unnaturally so. The town was almost perfect, like a public cleaner's dream. And somehow, that was worrying. The slight cessation of the fog only helped exacerbate the sheer emptiness. He thought he could hear footsteps, right on the threshold of being audible.

He became aware of a horrible stench that drifted towards him. He'd smelled worse, but not for a long time. He still recognised the hints of death and blood and fear that he'd learned when he was in Homicide. He kept his stomach contents in, despite their best efforts.

Whatever that stench was, he didn't want to find out the cause unless he had back-up or something, which didn't seem likely here.

He sighed. Looked like his stay here might be a bit longer term then he would like. He looked along the row of shop fronts. One stood out among them

Lion And Unicorn Supplies: For all your adventuring needs!

A camping shop. Perhaps he could find something useful in there.

After some encouragement from his foot, the door opened. The shop was dark and dusty, in contrast to the streets outside. In spite of himself, he coughed a few times.

You aim your pistol right when the monster stops on top of a table and fire off two shots. You know that if they hit you will have a better chance at beating the monster. If not, then you will have a tough fight on your hands.

    Combat Round: Start!

(Ace Pistol Shot Ranged Chance Attack vs. Romper at Long Range)

    First Attack

    (Ace's Accuracy Rate: 97 (66 Roll + 6 Accuracy + 25 Weapon Accuracy))

    (Romper A Evasion Rate: 106 (64 Roll + 22 Agility + 20 Reflexes))

    First Attack: Miss

    Second Attack

    (Ace's Accuracy Rate: 121 (90 Roll + 6 Accuracy + 25 Weapon Accuracy))

    (Romper A Evasion Rate: 77 (35 Roll + 22 Agility + 20 Reflexes))

    Second Attack: Hit

    Damage Dealt: 12

    Chance Attack Round End

The first shot whizzed past, but the second one hit the mark. It appeared to deal a fair amount of damage. While it did not kill the monster as it still appeared to be moving, it still did something. Now the monster was glaring at you and the real battle was about to begin.

Your gun was already aimed and drawn, so you were able to get in two more shots onto the beast as you squeezed the trigger twice, a couple of bangs surfacing out as the bullets whizzed at the monster.

Combat Round Start: Ace Attacking Romper

    First Attack

    ((Ace's Accuracy Rate: 114 (83 Roll + 6 Accuracy + 25 Weapon Accuracy))

    (Romper A Evasion Rate: 139 (97 Roll + 22 Agility + 20 Reflexes))
Critical Success Roll: Auto Evade & Move 1 Range Closer

    First Attack: Miss

    Second Attack

    (Ace's Accuracy Rate: 127 (96 Roll + 6 Accuracy + 25 Weapon Accuracy))
    Critical Success Roll: Double Damage

    (Romper A Evasion Rate: 113 (71 Roll + 22 Agility + 20 Reflexes))

    Second Attack: Hit

Damage Dealt: 14 (7 damage Doubled)

    Ace Turn End

The monster was not hit by the first shot, but the second one did a good amount more damage than the first one as the area around what might have been its heart was hit. If this creature even had a heart was beyond your knowledge, but if a shot did more damage to it then who were you to complain.

The creature had somehow gracefully evaded the first shot to move even closer to you in the process. Then it suddenly leaped at you in a quick frenzy. It would give you know time to react, but it was not a very accurate leap either.

Romper Turn: Romper Attacking Ace with Quick Leap

    Ability Usage: Quick Leap

    (Romper A's Accuracy Rate: 21 (21 Roll + 20 Accuracy + -20 Weapon Accuracy))

    (Ace's Evasion Rate: 46 (37 Roll + 3 Agility + 6 Reflexes))

    Quick Leap: Miss

Damage Dealt to Romper as Ability failure affect: 7

    Romper Turn End

The monster landed with loud thud against a wall and got right back up with a snarl. It appeared ready to strike again, but now you would be able to act.

    What will you do?

You find almost nothing of use to you. As you searched through the restaurant you accidentally had turned on a french fry griddle that still had fries inside of it. You did not notice it as you hastily searched, so when it finally came to you that you made that mistake the smell of old french fries permeated throughout the restaurant.

When you went to turn it off suddenly a large crash was heard and the shattering of glass echoed throughout the restaurant. A loud screech was heard that seemed to be ear shattering. Rushing out from the kitchen you see a strange flying creature and it glares at you.

It then lets out a howling Screech.

    Air Screamer's Turn: Uses Screech

    Resistance Result: 96 (87 Roll + 9 Constitution)

    Resistance Success

    Air Screamer's Turn End

You somehow manage to resist the screech's affect. This strange creature that has an appearance similar to that of a pterodactyl crossed with a bat. Its skin appeared to be rotting and somewhat brown. Its height was around half of that of a human's. It was quite a shocking sight, and now its gaze was set on you.

It seemed that the pistol the cop gave you would come handy after all.

As you walk you eventually come upon Main Street of Silent Hill after a period of time. You suddenly smell the strangest smell. You don't know what it is, but it smells of blood and death. It is an odor you may have experienced once before, only this was much fouler. As you walk you notice the smell gets stronger.

    (Constitution Check: 96 (88 Roll + 8 Constitution) Success

As disgusting the smell seems, you somehow manage to keep your stomach. You also hear several sounds that include gun shots and loud crashes from far away. You are not near the area yet, but from what you can hear and smell it sounds dangerous.

(Will Check: 14 (3 Roll + 11 Will)) Critical Failure

    (Mental Health Damage: 10)

The thought of it all as you remember the murdering of your father, the putrid smell of death and blood, the sound of gun shots. All of these things bring forth feelings of great fear in you, fear that cannot be described in any matter. It makes you begin to run quickly away from it all as fast as your feet can carry you. You don't feel like your normal self.

You can feel yourself crying from the fear as the despair racks your entire body, making you run even faster away from the scene. You ran faster until you were in an ally, panting heavily. Now you just sit there, trying to collect your thoughts of what is going on.

You did not really find much of use to you that you thought could be of use to you entered and searched through the surprisingly opened camping store. You found a Small Hatchet that could be used as a weapon. Might be good if you run into trouble which in this unsettling atmosphere you assume will most likely be possible. Especially since you smelt that body from a distance.

Amongst a few other useful things you find a Knapsack for carrying a few things in, and that is all you find of use to you. Maybe you could search over the camping store again, or leave. Either way it is probably a good idea to go and find some people. Maybe someone here could explain everything that is going on.

Walking through the kitchen Alex gave a loud sigh, he had almost found nothing of use to him, well a few pieces of meat though far from cooked it seemed so he left when where they were. However Alex didn't give up just yet as he started to look through the cupboards at the very top, hoping to at least find something up there, but as he did he was unaware that he had accidentally turned on the french fry griddle. Slamming the cupboards shut Alex turned around and placed his hands on the counter that the food was meant to be placed on and then sent off to the tables, giving him a clear view of the dining area.

It was then that he noticed the smell of french fries cooking was slowly filling the restaurant. Looking behind him he chuckled, after all at least he wasn't so hungry that he was dreaming up food. Moving to turn it off Alex suddenly jumped at a sudden large crash sounding out from the winder area; shattering of glass raining down on the floor like deadly rain drops, though not as deadly looking than the thing that had caused it. A strange flying creature came down like the strode of death himself, its body unique and yet its skin appeared to be rotting and somewhat brown even as it kept itself in the air!

It was then that the being let out a horrifying howling screech. Alex stood his ground, he was a rather brave man when faced with something of flesh and bone, though rotting flesh and bone. It was something that he could see, but more importantly fight! Drawing the pistol he flipped the safety off and pulled back the slide a little ways to make sure it was loaded in the chamber. This was far from Alex's first time handling a gun and so he took aim at the being, not even having a second thought on firing at it, after all it was clearly not human!

Ace aimed his weapon. That old cop that used this pistol really had the right idea going with a gun of this model. The creature hit the wall and snarled at him. He fired his weapon, his ears ringing afterwards.
