Y'know, busy :P. My friend, who I'll likely be co-running one with, looked around though. She and I come from a MMO forum (We all played the game ages ago. Then hated it, but realized the rp forums there were EPIC. Now they're dead.), where the kind of stuff we see here was considered "forum games". Marked by a use of the passive voice, lots of numbers, and when they speak between countries, they issue statements, instead of RP'ing out of every sequence and bothering to somewhat develop characters involved.

We're very excited to bring our "one, true way" (:P, lol) to a new forum. I should probably unlearn that "forum games" terminology, before I start coming off as a pretentious asshole, lol. "We're a roleplay. The rest of you are posers." XD.

I've recently been watching Weeds on ShowTime and I'm wondering if the topic the show portrays was appropriate for the forum? I had a few ideas about Mafia-style RP's yet did not know the true limits of the forum when it came to mature subject matter such as drugs, as that is what I wanted to include in my RP. Can someone please help me out a little? I've been on forums where that kind of thing was tolerated, some didn't really care, and others were outright banning it, so I just would like to understand the limits of this forum.

We allow pretty much complete freedom to GM's here in most instances. The one taboo being sex. This must be kept to a PG-13 level or taken to PM's since we have some young users. Language and violence aren't as strictly enforced site-wise. That being said, I have not seen the Show you are talking about but the use of drugs in an RP isn't going to be a problem.

So mabye i'm just technologically inept but I cant seem to put an avatar up. every time I browse for a picture on my computer and select it, I save the profile changes and it doesn't accept. And the Faq didn't answer how to fix that one.

Did you just join? It may be an issue of you just joining. If so you account will be fully active within a certain time (not too long though I don't have the exact time) and with a certain number of posts. It helps cut down on spammers and bots.
