At this point we aren't taking on new ones but you could PM Guru to let him know you are interested. We have a list of names of people interested to draw from when we need more. How do I make a picture show up instead of having to click a link?

you right click the image you want, and select "copy image location" then click on this icon above ^ and paste the url you copied from right-clicking the image. Then hit ok. Or you could hand-code it. [img]the url from right clicking here[/img] Let me know if this isn't clear.

I read up on the guide, and I'd like to start an entirely new roleplay. It is based on nothing; it is entirely my invention (as of now). From the guide I know I want it to be casual role play. So my questions are:
1. How do I technically start it? (what buttons do I click on)
and
2. How much background do I need to provide? (should I post in character lists and a new "world" in articles or not?)

I'm sorry if any of this is redundant, but I am very new to this.

To start a roleplay you need to head to one of the Interest Check sections. In case ye' didn't know, that's where people post their ideas for roleplays and, as the name suggestions, garner some interest in it. Your best bet is to make a thread in one of the several Interest Check sections. They're all on the front page, but I'll point you to them if you can't find them. :3

Once you're there, on the right hand side of the page there's a button that says 'new thread'. Click that and you'll be brought to the thread creation page. Fill in all of the info about the roleplay that you want to there, and then click 'submit thread'. That'll be your Interest Check created, and then all you have to do is wait for some people to pop up. ^^

Once you've gathered enough people, you can move on to making the OOC and the IC. The IC'd be where the actually roleplay takes places and the OOC is to be used for chatter between those taking part in the roleplay.


For how much background you need, really there's no set amount of background you need to put in in the actual Interest Check, although obviously it'd need enough to let people know what they're getting into. I suppose you could make both of them, but it's certainly not necessary. Some people just like seperate threads in there to keep information seperated, but it's perfectly possible to keep it all in the OOC.
