I think that sniper rifles weigh the most, then shotguns, then assault rifles, then smgs, then pistols, but that's all a generalisation (I'll have to double-check the first three, but I know that smgs and pistols are the lightest). In shotguns for example, the scimitar shotgun weighs more than the katana shotgun, and the mattock assault rifle weighs a hell of a lot more than the avenger.
I never really liked either of them (I much preferred group pull to singularity) but I am adoring the ME3 stasis. Unlike in ME2 it doesn't make them invulnerable to damage, so I'm just going around using stasis bubble, freezing about eight people and then blowing them to pieces. God, phantoms were so annoying, but two of my characters can deal with them easily. My asari-adept can stasis them, meaning all I have to do is slaughter them with any other weapons I have, and my salarian-infiltrator has energy drain, which drains the phantom's biotic barriers down completely, restoring mine and stunning it in the process. Once again, all I have to do is unleash hell on it.
