Looks good to me! Very cool. I don't see a problem with Shigai's owning an undead horse so long as Chanda's alright with it.

    -----

Here, Chanda. ;P Because I like to do this for some reason:

    Just waiting on Dervish's character!

    Name: Teruk

    Race: Deku

    Age: 32

    Gender: Male

Appearance: As is often the case of non-Hylian or Gerudo species, Teruk appears to be a perfectly regular looking Deku scrub, with a short dark brown and black wood-like body, red and yellow glowing eyes, an elongiated spout-like mouth, and a large, leafy crop of foliage covering his head. What makes him unique is the ability to change the colour and tone of his foliage to match his surroundings.

Clothing: Teruk wears a simple fire retardant green robe with brown trimming to make himself instantly identifiable to his clients, as he had come to realize outsiders have a hard time telling the difference between members of his species. He also wears a hardened leather satchel to carry his belongings and goods, as well as gather ingredients.
He is one of the few Deku who bother with clothing.

Fighting Style: Teruk avoids combat unless it is absolutely necessary, due to his small stature and physical weaknesses. Like most Deku, he his deadly accurate with his Deku nuts and bubbles, which contain a semi-potant toxin to most animals, as it was an evolved defensive mechanism to keep predators at bay.

He is extremely fast and agile, and he can move with a coordination and grace that is matched by few others. He is deadly at range, and while he is certainly brave and gutsy, he is concerned about self-preservation and is well aware getting into a physical fight is more or less suicide, so he will retreat if possible to either escape or set up an ambush. He is a hit and run fighter, and his ranged attacks can keep all but the most heavily armoured foes at bay for a time.

If he burrows into a Deku flower, he can launch himself high in the air for brief flight to either reach out of reach places, or to cross obstacles. He can use this to his advantage to get out of reach of purely physical fighters. He often employs his natural or magic camoflague techniques to avoid detection, as he has no real means to defend himself within physical striking distance. However, as a scout or ambusher, he's second to none.

    Primary Affinity: Forest

    Secondary Affinity: Shadow

    Magic:

Spell 1: Grow Deku Flower: Teruk can grow a Deku flower on just about any surface, it's roots displacing all but the hardest stone and metals. He can use the flowers to heal damage to his body, shelter himself from harm, and to launch himself in flight.

Spell 2: Convert plants into potions: Certain herbs and plants have inert abilities of healing, regenerating magic pools, and in rare cases, both. Most of these plans unfortunately grow in the Lost Woods, and are hard to come by outside of forests.

Spell 3: Shadow Cloak: Using Shadow magic, Teruk can disappear into shadows, shade, and anything outside of direct light. This is invaluable for sneaking in and out of occupied forests of dungeons largely undetected. However, when exposed to direct sunlight or Light magic while using the Shadow Cloak, it causes Teruk to become temporarily stunned and disoriented.

Inventory: Teruk carries a few assorted plants and herbs on his person at any given point. He also carries a small knife for working on his potions, but is too small and compact for anything violent. He currently has 3 green potions on his person.

    Backstory:
Teruk, like many of his kind, comes from the Lost Woods, a once peaceful place that few dared enter due to ridiculous myths involving people getting lost and turning into Deku Scrubs. In fact, the only spell the forest has shrouding it is to keep intruders out by somehow always leading them to the forest boundries, unless they know the correct path. Those who did manage to get lost were often found by Deku Scrubs, who helped them find their way to safety outside the woods. This is likely what led to the stories of wanderers turning into one of the Deku, which Teruk finds amusing.

He had frequently visited outside the forest, growing ever more curious about the outside world after a few encounters with the wanderers who somehow managed to get lost in the woods, or were unaffected by the spell. He would often sell these wanderers supplies for their trip back, and found the whole aspect of trade and exchange fascinating. He decided that he would become a wanderer of sorts himself and see what the world had to offer, coming home periodically after weeks, and sometimes months, on the road.

Initially, he had a hard time making any sales, as many people were somewhat mistrustful of Deku. He eventually discovered children dressing up and playing as 'the hero of time', and sold them common things like seeds, sticks, and nuts from the woods as playthings. The adults took notice, and began to trust him more and eventually he had developed a good reputation for his quality potions and low prices, and in various settlements and communities he had become a welcome sight among his regulars when he made his rounds. It was around now he had saved up enough money to buy himself his robe, which he had to protect himself from flames and to let people recognize him immediately when he came around, as he often had to reestablish his identity when he returned to various communities.

His people had a good, though distant, relationship with the Kokiri, as they fundamentally were neighbours. When Ganon's armies reemerged, he had been present in Kokiri village as it became under attack. He had fled quickly, urging the children to escape. They refused, and couragiously and ineffectively fought to defend their home from the monstrocities that poured in from who-knows-where. He retreated to the Lost Woods, explaining to his people what he saw. Many of the Deku had heeded his warning, and either fled the forest or resolved to prepare for Ganon's army.

The natural spells protecting the woods has so far made a large scale invasion impossible, as the scouts invariably found themselves being turned around. What monstrocities did make it through were quickly dealt with by the resolved and well prepared Deku fighters, many of whom had themselves gone to see what happened to Kokiri Village after Teruk and other Dekus' warnings to see if the stories were true. They know what is at stake, and are accutely aware the spells protecting their home is one of the main reasons they are still alive and have a place to call home.

Teruk himself had voluntarily left his forest home to try and warn his client villages and settlements of the coming darkness, and in some cases, was too late to warn the people he had started calling friends. Once more, his fleet movements and survival instincts had saved his life, and fueled by anger, he has made it his mission to sell and supply potions to the Hyrulian soldiers and warriors when he could, and help villages prepare for what's coming.

He had been known to make dangerous runs deep into enemy controlled forests to gather information and steal supplies to pass onto villagers and sell them for their protection. He does not want to see what happened to Kokiri Forest happen again, and he is resolved to seeing Ganondorf's army brought down.
Wallet: One red (20), three blue (15), six green (6). 41 rupees in total.

(this is potentially a rough draft, but is workable.)

FMAlchemist, I know in Ocarina or Majora's Mask it was the myth that went along with them, I was going off of the wiki entry. Either way, I know the same myth surrounded the Skull Children, so I think it's safe to assume people just don't want their brats to go wandering in bear country .

as for wall of text, my apologies, it's all done on my phone because I have no access to a computer, so I spent a longass time typing that up and formatting is neigh impossible right now. However, I will try to edit and spread that out as soon as possible!
