    "That depends. Are you sorry?"

Lovina did not believe he was. Sure, he was human enough so he probably felt the occassional twinge of guilt at his crimes, but looking at the man, she didn't see the remorse he was saying he had. Not in this grinning, bemused looking man in front of her. She saw his smile grow broader and she arched an eyebrow. "Are you... enjoying this?" she asked in disbelief.

"Si. I'm afraid I am." he replied. "You're face....it's as red as a ripe tomato."

Unfortunately for the girl, Antonio began to laugh, and laugh loudly. She couldn't tell that she was amusing? That her anger was humorous despite the fact that he obviously deserved it? Antonio wanted to have her on his ship, if nothing else than to have around for days when he was bored.

This stupid, damn... oh mio Dio. Lovina had no option but to stare at him furiously as he started laughing at her for, as far as she could tell, no good reason. He had a twisted sense of humor, and of reality, while she was at it. What on earth was wrong with this man?

"Forget the damn tomato, you bastard!" She was livid. And she did NOT look like a tomato! "I cannot help someone like you, your sins are beyond repair? Why are you here? What do you want from me?"

"I told you to start with. I came to light a candle for my Papa. After meeting you however, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to stay and talk a bit longer."

Antonio loved her face, bright red with puffed out cheeks. Yes, she certainly looked like a tomato, although apparently, she wasn't as sweet as one. That didn't stop Antonio from planning though as he continued to smile at her. Her chestnut hair and bright eyes; she was certain to look good by his side on his ship.

Lovina took a cautious step back. He was getting this look in his eyes, a look she really didn't think she could trust. Of course not, nothing about this man was trustworthy! But this was even more pronounced. And what was that he said to her? He stayed because he wanted to talk to her? That was not something that ever happened to her. What exactly the hell did that mean?

"What are you looking at me like that for, bastard?" she snapped. It was a very unfamiliar look... It wasn't exactly making her uncomfortable, per say, but she didn't know what to expect of it, and one of her faults was not dealing well with new things like that.

Antonio smiled and grabbed her arm before cheerfully leading her out the door and towards the docks.

"You, my little tomato, are coming with me." he said, smiling brightly as he led the confused girl to the ship.

He didn't care that she had no extra clothes, nothing to wear to bed or change into. He was a pirate, he wanted her and he was going to have her. The thought that he didn't know her name (or she his for that matter) did occur to him, but again, he didn't care. They could learn each other's names later.

Her eyes widened with disbelief for a moment as he grabbed her. "What?" She started struggling in his arms, trying to get away, trying not to be touched. She wasn't nearly strong enough to break his grip unfortunately. Her eyes continued to widen as she grasped what he was saying. "You're taking me?"

Dio mio, he was taking her. The filthy pirate was kidnapping her. She looked back at the church in alarm. Feliciano... "No!"

Antonio was startled by her outburst and loosened his grip slightly.

"No?" he questioned, confused slightly, "What do you mean 'No'? You don't have a say in this, I'm afraid."

He was a pirate. Surely the young beauty before him wasn't an idiot. She looked far too intelligent, her eyes too bright, for her to be stupid. So why her outburst? He looked back at the church and started piecing the puzzle together.

"You think I'm going to turn you into someone like me? No, senorita, that is not my plan at all. I merely want you on my ship because...well because I think you're fun."

That wasn't exactly the reason for her scream. It was certainly part of it, a natural reaction to this, she felt. But no, it was more for Feliciano. Her stupid, stupid brother... She was a bitch to him like she was to many, but she cared about him. She was never going to leave him, he needed her and she might need him too. They were all they had ever had. He was going to think... She couldn't bear what he might think happened to her. He'd think she was kidnapped or something.

    Ha ha.

She glared at the pirate. Really? 'Entertaining'? Yep. Something was wrong with him, if he found her angry outbursts a good source of entertainment. "So that's your plan? Just keep me as a toy, nothing more?"

"Well...why would I need something more of you?" he questioned.

The girl was becoming more and more confusing by the moment. She seemed, not angry, but scared. Terrified of being taken away. There was more to it though and it frustrated Antonio that he couldn't figure out what it was.
