Mafia Mistress
His actions surprised her. Antonio was always cheerful and polite enough, but this was the first time he had really gone out of his way, it seemed. Lovina thought for a moment back to when she met him. He was very, very different than what she thought a pirate would be. And she was sort of alright with that. A small smile snuck onto her face. No one ever treated her like this, like she was precious. She rather liked it.

Antonio smiled as he saw the little one on Lovina's face. He liked her smile, it was rare but when it was present it shone like the sun. Silently, he sat across from her, still with that same cheerful expression.
"Let's play a game, Lovi."

She tilted her head at him, raising one eyebrow skeptically. What exactly did that mean? His offer was a phrase she did not hear often, especially with how she was brought up. "What do you have in mind?" she asked cautiously.

Lady of the Day
"A get to know you game. Nothing to in depth, just simple stuff." I smiled, a sipped some wine. "I'll start. What is your favorite color?"

That seemed harmless and reasonable enough. Lovina clacked her nails on the table, thinking for just a moment. "Green," she finally settled on.

Antonio chuckled. He was pleasantly surprised by her answer. "Now why is that?"

Huh. She pursed her lips. She never really thought about it. It was just something she accepted as liking. But now she thought about it for another moment. "It reminds me of home," she said simply. Italy was a green place. There was green on the flag and the land was green and fertile. Sometimes her eyes were somewhat green. And of course Antoni- she wasn't even going to finish that thought.

Lady of the Day
Antonio smiled at the somewhat distant look in her eyes.
"Do you miss it? Italy?"
If she missed it enough...he'd let her go back. It was only fair, she hadn't wanted to come with him in the first place.

Did she miss it? Again, Lovina had to think for a moment. She loved her homeland. She had only been gone for a few days, so she didn't feel such loss just yet. Maybe that was perhaps due to how the last five years had been miserable. Her best memories were from until she was but five years old, and her grandfather was gone now. So...
"I do miss it," she admitted. "Once upon a time, I had been very happy there. But there is nothing there for me now."

Lady of the Day
"I see...."
Antonio glanced down, not wanting her to see the sad look in his eyes. Sure, he missed his homeland but he had family there. It must be hard to have a home and not have anything tying you to it.
"Do you think you'll be happy in Spain?"
