The Year is 1353, six years after the Black Death swept threw europe and the dead began to rise. On a summers night in 1347 the first victim was claimed by the plague. Seen as a sign of some heresy the victims corpse was burned and disposed of. then more and more people began to fall ill and die. graves were flooded as rats and other vermin spread death amongst the tight city streets victim after victim fell to this unforgiving Plague. Even the Lords and Clergy weren't safe from this horror. But even more horrific were the risen dead. All who were claimed by the black death and not burned rose as a shambling mockery of their former selves. Moving through the streets groaning and howling, overwhelming and consuming any living thing they come across. Humans weren't the only victims of the Plague, As time passed many animals began to fall sick and perish. most did not return to life but some select few did. Emboldened by their new rebirth these beasts would raid towns and villages killing all they could find. In an effort to protect those who still survived Lords banned together and sent knights to slay the undead both human and beast. Healthy knights were few and for every one of them there was a multitude of undead. In desperation the Lords drafted everyone they could as soldiers to assist the knights in their purging. This desperate campaign met with failure. Knights and soldiers would be swarmed by the mass of dead. Even the well armored knights were eventually slain when the persistent grasping hands of the dead finally pried the armor away. After the slaughter of the first cleansing the wave of undead all but destroyed humanity in europe.

Now the survivors must band together to find a place where they can live without the threat of the black death or the constant waves of the undead. But as the undead continue to multiply they also begin to change. New forms of the zombies begin to appear as well as new breads of undead creatures. creatures that had never been seen before in europe are also being seen. Now the dead flood from asia into europe and the survivors are pushed closer and closer to the atlantic. time is running out for the survivors, as is where they can run.
