    (Jeremy Sumner)

    "1...2... Ready your gun...Go!"

Jeremy peeked left initially upon entering, then went right as talked about previously. It was obvious that the room was empty, and this one had most likely been used by the care takers as it was a little larger and had two beds. One bad was stripped to the matress and had been Pablos while the second one, sloppily laid out with sheets and a few pillows. That is where Derrik had slept prior to his untimely death.

He checked his corners and scanned and listened for movement, and the only thing he heard was Austin going through his area. "Clear here," he said loudly. He waited for Austin to finish his sweep while looking through the room. There were a few things of use that could be taken, but not much. The only thing that Jeremy found and took was a military first aid kid. He attached it to his belt buckle and slung his weapon. He stared at the tv, the black screen reflecting, back, distorting his features. He sighed. He didn't want this. He wanted to be home with his wife, walking his dog, relaxing.

He stared, wondering how quickly they could be out of here and on their way to the Marine Corps base to the north. That's where his family was, and that's where he needed to be. One way or another, once they got down to the floor level that's where he was going, with or without them. His family aside, it only made sense to go there. A secure installation, military force, medical facilities and they also most likely had a plan. Military bases were always a focal point for emergency situations and this would be no different.

When he got her, he wasn't sure where to go, and that frustrated him. He always liked to have a plan, but at this point, he wasn't sure what was safe or what had happened outside of this building. He knew he wanted to stay away from large cities, but he needed to stay near enough to ensure he could forage and go for supplies. He figured Boggs would go with him. Who knew who else. Traveling with other people was not always a good thing; if you needed to watch people, or they were a liability then it was better to not even bring them along.

Jeremy continued to stare at himself in the screen, not realizing he'd been spacing out staring at nothing until he heard something come from Austin's direction, snapping him back to reality.

Jace stood there in the armory just staring at the weapons all around, reality starting to kick in a little more. Two months back.. Or was it three? I've lost count.. Anyways. Two months ago, I was dragged away from my happy little business by these suits. Taken here to this facility, no clue why. Then.. All of a sudden something happens and now there are infected everywhere. Who threw the bio-grenade? Which country started it? What technology was used? Maybe.. Maybe if I can find this technology, I could reverse-engineer it, create the anti-virus and sell it off to whatever government gives the highest bid. Though, I'm gunna need that doctor. She'll know more about viruses than me, all I can do is give her the technology to create the anti-virus. Shit, what am I thinking? I should be getting out of here first! For once, I need to stop being so greedy... Money may be power, but power is useless if you're stuck in a god-forsaken facility surrounded by infected!

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard footsteps enter through the doorway to the armory as Cateline and some man entered the room. Getting a good look at the man, Jace profiled him. He seems like a spazmatic type.. Looks a little twitchy. Is he drugged? Huh.. Doesn't seem all too athletic, so going by assumption to the fact that any muscle-head here is connected with the military.. This guy is tech.

Jace watched as Cateline took out one of her bug-bots that she had used to collect DNA samples earlier and listened in to the small metallic voice that came from the bot. "Virus identified. Types/sub categories, 4 types. Based on blood type. Senses strengthened on transformation, or rising. Depending once again on blood type. Antibody A strongest against virus, then Antibody B. Nerves for pain are dulled and killed. Virus antigen copied." Jace folded his arms, and turned a little away so his face was hidden from the two. Four types of Infected, all depending on blood types.. Given that blood can vary quite a bit, it's amazing there are only four groups. Now.. The real question is.. Does it evolve?

Jace turned around just in time to see Cateline re-enter the armory with a tight suit that easily showed off her curves, and glasses that made her look professional. Though, Jace smirked and didn't believe the outside change for a second. He knew, from the small amount of time he's known this woman, that she wasn't a single bit professional.

"So what's the mob like?" He heard Cateline ask the sitting man in the room. Huh? He's Mob? I can hardly even believe that. No mob is going to let a rag-tag Tech into their masses. He doesn't even look like he can shoot a gun, let alone a fucking shotgun.

"Mob? You're part of the mob?"
Jace said as he walked over to the two, "You don't exactly look like... The killing type. Wouldn't you agree?"

    Jon Erikson

Jon’s hand went to his head and scratched at his head uneasily. Most of what Harold wanted to know he had already discovered, but he needed to see how everyone would react first. He didn’t want panic or depression or despair sinking in to the group. He would tell them eventually, and all at the same time, but he wasn’t sure what he’d omit.

Uh, I have a lot of info, I just wanted to disperse it all at the same time I guess. I uh, is that a bomb or something? For the door.” He didn’t ask, so much as stated. He hadn’t tried to make a bomb himself, as it may give away something about him, like why a computer clerk would be making explosives. That also raised another question: why this man knew enough to make this device.

So, were you uh, how’d you figure to make that?” He didn’t want to be too forward or direct, so he just stuttered his way through a basic question. Jon noticed that Jeremy and Austin cleared what should be the last room, which meant that most likely things would start getting more organized as they came up with some plan, got to know each other and what they were capable of. There were no shots fired in the second room, which was a good sign. He saw Harold looking to the door with a questioning look on his face, and raised an eyebrow, waiting for an answer as to what he was thinking.

"Room looks a bit different from the others, Staff Sergeant, I think the supervisors lived here," He said with a shrug, lowering the barrel of the shotgun. "How many more do we have to clear? I'd like to get ready to just get outta here... It's givin' me an odd feeling... Kinda makin' me feel the chills, y'know?" The pilot pointed out tiredly as he turned himself to his friend. "C'mon Sumners, we gotta get ready to move, we can only carry so much food before it becomes a problem and I'd like to load a bag with as much ammo as we can get. Food's important, but if the rest of the city looks like some of these rooms, ammunition will be scarcer, and we have to stock up, we don't want to run out."

The man slung his shotgun over his back and pulled the knife from his belt. His shotgun had a full 10-shot chamber at the moment because he had refilled the one fired shell, but he didn't want to use the ammo like he wasn't going to run out. Austin pulled the hatchet out of his belt with his left hand and held the knife backwards in his right, good for impaling lethally and slashing with the hatchet.
This lovely signature was made by the insanely talented Lillian Thorne.

    Harris Blankenship

Cateline looked in her bag. She appeared to open something inside of it. Then something began to speak inside of it.

"Virus identified. Types/sub categories, 4 types. Based on blood type. Senses strengthened on transformation, or rising. Depending once again on blood type. Antibody A strongest against virus, then Antibody B. Nerves for pain are dulled and killed. Virus antigen copied," It said. WHAT. THE. FUCK? Did that... thing just fucking speak? That is the weirdest shit I've heard in a while. Then again, I haven't browsed the internet in a while. Harris thought and then relaxed until Cateline started to speak to it.

"Ah, so that's how they work huh?" Cateline began to mess with more stuff in her bag. "Good morning Jakey! Store information in file folder Classified Password Only B.A.D. please," Okay, why does every single chick I meet have to be in-fucking-sane? I'm getting fucking tired of it and with my luck that's what will be left in the world. Harris calmed down again and held the information. Figuring it should be useful later. Harris was lost in thought until he heard Cateline say,

"So what's the mob like?" she asked Harris. Before Harris could answer someone else walked over.

"Mob? You're part of the mob?" The man said as he walked over to the two, "You don't exactly look like... The killing type. Wouldn't you agree?"

"Your right, I'm not the killing type, I'm the hacking type. The mob used me to erase police records and hack bank accounts. The mob is a lot like the internet. It's full of shit you don't want to know, but you eventually see it. Then your fucked for the rest of your life. Well not anymore. Seeing as all of them are most likely dead. Anyways, I'm Harris Blankenship, Computer Hacker. What's your name?" Harris stood up, said and then offered his hand to the man.

Jace simply looked down at the hand, then back into the face of the man called Harris. Ding, right on the money. He is another Tech. I wonder if he's the hacker that decided to play back whenever I got bored on the computers? Haha, fun times.. Crashing people's browsers, and wiping their data all with the flick of a finger.. He thought as he reached down and with a slight smile he shook Harris' hand and said, "Jace Coldwell, also a computer hacker. Though, I myself didn't waste my talents with the mob.. I had bigger plans." Jace nodded towards Cateline, "I see you've met up with Cateline. Good, that's one less introduction I need to hear. He said with a sigh as he reached down to the hatchet at his belt and adjusted it slightly so it fit comfortably on his side.

"So.. Since the cat's already out of the bag.. What's your thoughts on the DNA examination, Cateline? Four different types? That's oddly specific given that blood types can vary in a wide variety of types. Even if they're categorized in simple sections. That much, I know."

He said, turned towards Cateline while thoughts flitted through his head. Several military soldiers.. A few hackers.. This crack-pot doctor with some fun tech.. Brick One and Brick Two.. What was running through the higher up's minds when selecting us to isolate? If they hadn't of completely and utterly split the computer services in here I would have found out within a day or two.. But no. There a whole sever station built within this facility, completely unconnected with the main one, just for us the isolated. Now.. Everyone is dead for good, or walking again, and the computer room is probably open.. If someone hasn't already dug up the information. I will.

    Jace said.

Awwww, they really did hear. And I thought I would get to keep a nice secret for a while. But then again I probably should've installed a volume control onto my bot, I could've afforded it too. Well too late now! Better explain quickly, before other people just barge in wanting to know my info. What was I thinking by doing this out in public anyway? I could've just uploaded it to my laptop! But these guys are hackers, they would've found it all out sooner or later anyway.
She took out the bot that held the samples, and opened the spider legs, and displaying the screen from the DNA of the infected, she took a breath.

"Well. I only have 8 large samples of blood to compare the infected's too, don't ask me how I got it, you don't want to know, so shush shush okay?"she started. Their families wouldn't want to know either......" With Bombay blood type, I can't compare because I haven't gotten a sample to work with. So all the 8 samples I have now are different types, and when the virus from the infected's to theirs is combined I see what reaction it has on the blood cells. Make sense? Anyway, on the screen is O type, right side of the screen is positive and left side is negative. Both are the same, as with all other samples, but since this is only a small one it can't separate and test well, and that's because I only had limited funding back then with this project. If only I could have enough equipment I can get full details. This is how it looks with all images, all the information is on Jakey right now,"she held up the little snake that was still hooked up to the bot, with glowing waves across, meaning the information was transferred," When I get to a computer suitable enough I can read it over and right down everything about the abilities that come with infection. Ah, it makes me feel bad to know my machines can't do much,"she looked at her bot,"Well that's enough about my things for now, any of you find things about the world? I think I may have something to contribute with Jakey too."

Putting the bot's spider legs back in place, she detached Jakey and put the bot back inside. She took out a tiny screen, with a cute face drawn at the top. She kept her ears open for anything the boys said though, so that she wouldn't be left out, or the only one who talked. She had some access to some pictures of secret files Jakey got her from the government, she only got them because she was bored though.

i don't feel like getting a signature i just came back and i don't know if i'll stay and the most i will do is try my best to fill this whole area with the smilies that i see off to the side here just for my kicks and punches.

Not sure exactly, but to my knowledge, the rooms should all be cleared, or close. We’ll go out, get everyone together, get a head count and start figuring out what to do. I’m with you man, we need to get the fuck outta here.” He didn’t yet share that his desire was based solely on his desire to head north. At this point he’d forgotten about his meds or any form of treatment, too much was happening.

After you sir,” he motioned for him to exit the room. After Austin exited, Jeremy followed. When in the hall, he looked around, saw people socializing (not fighting) and getting gear. Good. Not too much tension.

He cleared his throat and spoke up, not as loudly and harshly as before, but still loud enough to be heard about other conversations and not in a tone that was asking, it was commanding. “Ok all. Let’s gather up at the end of the hall by the window. I wanna get a head count, do some quick introductions and start making some plan to get out of here. You can leave your stuff in your rooms, we’ll grab that after. No rush, that door doesn’t seem like it wants to go anywhere any time soon,” he shook his head, remembering how he put on his ass trying to get it opened.

It was the most immediate course, but he wasn’t sure if he could open it. If not, they could try the window, but that had the potential for disaster. Maybe there was another route, but still, it would have to be found unless they could get that fucking door open.

"Yeah, like I choice, I fucking survived a couple days of torture why I was given a choice, to die, or to work for them. Yeah, don't tell me I wasted my talents." Harris retorted back at Jace.

"So.. Since the cat's already out of the bag.. What's your thoughts on the DNA examination, Cateline? Four different types? That's oddly specific given that blood types can vary in a wide variety of types. Even if they're categorized in simple sections. That much, I know." Jace said, most likely ignoring Harris's statement. Well, I get the feeling were not going to be friends. Jace Coldwell, the hacker that fucked up my third computer. I'll get him back. I wonder if he'll miss his hatchet? Harris thought, Wait a sec, where the hell did that come from? Oh my god, fucking Vicodin. Hell of a drug.

"Well. I only have 8 large samples of blood to compare the infected's too, don't ask me how I got it, you don't want to know, so shush shush okay?"she started, " With Bombay blood type, I can't compare because I haven't gotten a sample to work with. "Well, besides developing a talent to talk to myself, I've learned shit, the internet went down a longgggg time ago." Harris said, stretching out the g, "Also, don't discuss the mob thing with anyone else, I'd rather not have people breathing down my fucking neck thank you. Just so you know, I didn't choose to work for the mob, I was tortured for a couple of days and then was given a choice, work for them, or die. As you can see I'm still here. I wonder if this faculty has a dossiers on all of us? Might be useful. Jace and Cateline, if you find a computer point me towards it. Or hack it yourself if your feeling up to it."

“Ok all. Let’s gather up at the end of the hall by the window. I wanna get a head count, do some quick introductions and start making some plan to get out of here. You can leave your stuff in your rooms, we’ll grab that after. No rush, that door doesn’t seem like it wants to go anywhere any time soon,” Someone said. Harris ignored it for the moment.

"Anything else we need to discuss?" Harris looked over his shoulder and looked back.

"Anything more we need to discuss, you ask? Well. We've got crazed infected clawing at our doors. We're all stuck on this floor. We've also got a room full of weapons. Would you like to know my measurements and birth sign too?"

Jace softly laughed and shook his head as he turned away from the group and started for the door. "Cateline, It seems to be out best interest to head outside now. Let's see what our oh so great military personnel have to say."

Exiting the Armory, Jace headed for the window just as everyone else was starting to gather there as well. There were so many different folk, all ranging from physically poor, to muscle giants. Hints of tech knowledge here, tactical knowledge there, and a little of everything else shown on everyone's faces. One man held a box, which had a hatchet head taped to the top, which confused Jace slightly making him wonder what exactly the box was for.

"Honestly.. I'm more interested in that computer room. If I can make outside contact, I can find information. Better than listening to half assumed speeches from god-knows-who." Jace muttered with a sigh. It was times like these he wished he could just go into a dark room, lock away the world behind him and wreak havoc over the infinitely-spanning micro-connections that we call the internet.
