SRW: Reversal Omega 2

[Metal Zeta]

"Well, see boy, I'm an inventor, as you could have guessed. In my free time, I make weapons. Never plan on using them, just something to pass the time. Infact, I doubt anybody could use them right. But you, boy...there's something about you I like." He explained, as the elevator came to a stop and they walked out.

IF making weapons was what he did in his free time, the old man had A LOT of free time. The room was FILLED with weapons, most of them appearing to be fcreated for machine.

"Now boy, you say you use speed and melee...I think I might have something for you. Follow me." He said, leading Akira off. On the way there, they passed a large door covered with "do not enter" and "warning" signs.

"Ah, here we are!" The man said, stopping in front of a large sword. "Now, boy, tell me.....is there any real difference between becoming faster...or making your opponent slower?" He asked

[Lord Dragoon]

"Not anything one can notice on their own," Akira blinked. "Wow, you made a lot of weapons. That Sai guy would have a field day if he saw this place..."
He looked at the swords in particular, having a bit of a connection to them. Most of these swords looked like they had some sort of property to them. For example, there were swords with gunbarrels. Solid swords with beams on the edge. A whole menagerie of swords, swords that all seemed to have some ability beyond what could be seen.

The old man begun to laugh. "Exactly! This sword, it looks normal, no? It is anything but! This sword gives off a special magnetic force, causing anything to be cut with it to slow down. Just a little, at first...then a little more....then more....until the thing stops moving at all!" The man explained, laughing. "OF course, As I'm sure you could guess, I could become rich if I were to sell my designs. However, who knows what kind of fools would not be ale to use my weapons tot he best of their abilities! You, however boy...I see something in your eyes. Something that tells me this weapon would work with you. What do ya say, boy! Should I march down there and get your machine repaired, equipping it with this?"

[Lord Dragoon]

"Whoa," Akira blinked. "That sounds pretty useful."

"I'm not sure. You're already doing a lot for me. And if they aren't really working on it because they don't like me or something, wouldn't that mean I should do something to ear their respect?"

[Metal Zeta]

"Boy, let me tell you something. The respect of an sweetheart isn't worth anything!" The old man told him laughing. "And guess what! Not a single mechanic here that isn't an sweetheart! Trying to earn their respect is like trying stop a fire with wood. Near impossible, and a waste of your time!" He explained. "Infact, I'll even give your machine a few upgrades as well! Now, what do ya say?" He asked Akira, once more. While the man did look a bit shady....his words revealed no malice or ill will. For some reason, this man DID want to help Akira.

[Lord Dragoon]

"Oh..." Akira thought about it.
He knew the man looked shady, but he had a feeling the man was also trustworthy.
"Alright," he said with a nod.

[Metal Zeta]

The old man laughed.
"Wait right here, boy!"

IN the next hour or so, somebody would come in and pick up the sword, taking it away. And about thirty minutes after that, the old man returned.

"Easy work! It's as good as new boy!" He laughed. "Fixed it all up! Gave it new armor, worked on the joint a little to make it faster and more responsive, installed the sword, worked on whatever odd system it used to put your body and it in synch, and even fixed up the paint! Better than new!" He explained to Akira

[Lord Dragoon]

"Whoa, really? That was fast," Akira said. "Wait... Does that mean they really weren't even trying?"
That thought... Wasn't very pleasant. If the mechanics disliked him so much that they'd hold back so much on the repairs, wouldn't that mean they screwed up Hana's and Amane's ONI Cores?

[Metal Zeta]

"Now, I'll admit, they're idiots, but don't think TOO badly of them. I'm just that good!" He laughed. "Now, I recall some friends of yours also had their machines repaired here. I wouldn't worry much! Those military folks being here, they would be too scared to make any mistakes." He explained. "No,w come on! Let's go check it out, boy!"

Leading Akira back outside, he showed him the ONI Core. And....it looked great! Like it had just been made, in fact! It eve looked a bit tougher, due to the new armor looking just a tiny bit different, but it still looked mostly the same. On it's side, the magnetic pwoered sword was hanging off it. "Ha! What do yo think, boy?"

[Lord Dragoon]

"Wow," Akira said. "Doesn't even look like it's a machine that suffered from 'my-teacher-is-cheap'"

Amane sneezed loudly.
"Huh? What was that about?" She asked.

"I'm bored!" Astaroth complained.
"Don't look at me, I am not your personal playmate. Go play with the humans or something," Armos said as he took apart the remains of a Vinashine he defeated a minute ago.
He clicked his non-existant tongue in annoyance when he found the splattered remains of its pilot in some of the electronics.
