101 Stereotypes & Tropes to Role playing!

umm things that happen almost hummorusly that break tension. Like someone accidently saying a innuendo or just a strange side thing. It just never happens even if a character is funny or witty you don't hear to many good jokes.

This is generally the inability of the role player in question to generate humour, due to not being all that funny himself/herself.

I just avoid that problem by not specifically citing character as being "funny" to begin with.

Hrm, I'm picturing numerous moments where the good guy shouts 'Shit Run!'
Maybe I'm just imagining things, but people are so desperate to avoid being the cliche overwhelming brave hero that they act like cowards more often than not now.

*Arrows/guns only work on NPC. It will always miss a PC no matter how logical.
-Ammendment- Infact swords and magic are the only ways to actually hurt a PC. Oh, and the Genre doesn't matter.
*The larger an army/force/troop is, the less effective it is. 10, 000 men? Pshaw, my group of 10 will take it out.
*No matter how persecuted a group is, one person flirts with everybody despite the danger.
*The more perverted a man, less likely to hit a woman. This also explains how rapist don't exist.
*That one character who has an information network, and therefore knows everything, no matter how small or insignificant.
*The more a person hates people, the more likely they are to be a sage of some sort, and stay in contact with important people of the story, despite hating people.
*Nobody cares about peasants. They're generally used to show how psychotic a character is.
*Exception to above- Never leave an orphaned peasant, they will become the god of fighting, or legendary general of a thousand men, or a lethal assassin who can kill with a glance. Or at least very good friends with the above.
