    Roman Empire: 2000

Okay guys, so the basis for this RP is "What if the Roman Empire never fell?" It would be a mostly a political/dialogue RP, but there would be some combat, of course. If anybody has any story ideas, CS templates they think would be good, or anything else, feel free to contribute.

Note: this just came to me in my mind about ten minutes ago and I'm really just thinking over the computer.

I had the same idea; never on paper though. But an idea would be a Pangaea like structure. Whereas the romans would plan on connecting the continents. And then you know. You'd have the basic people of society complaining that they're all too damn close.

Hm... I was thinking more along the lines of a coalition of free states against the Romans, or maybe a new Roman campagin to inland Asia. As for the number of countries... well, there'd be a small France, maybe Portugal, definitely England, Asian countries, most of Africa would be Roman though. The Americas would be half-imperial and half-free.

This sounds rather similar to an Idea I had as Well. I'm definatly interested, but I want more info on your ideas.

I really don't know much right now. I'm just pulling things out of my ass as we type.

I'm thinking that the world is pissed off at the RIS (Roman Imperial State) because of its conquest of the Phillipines, which may lead to a mainland Asian invasion. As a result, the UCNAR (United Coalition of Nations Against Rome) has been created. In it are Portugal, the French Republic, Britannia (which ceceded from the Roman Empire in 712 AD), several German states, the United Americas (which is essentially the Western US, Mexico, and most of South America, excluding Brazil), Japan, China, all Middle-Eastern states not controlled by Rome, and Sluvonia, a Slavic state comprising much of Eastern Europe.

    Bear with me here.

The technology is nearly a hundred years ahead of our own. The European Dark Ages never occured. The Asian countries were isolated enough to avoid major contact for many years, until around 1600. Rome began widespread trade and influence, and briefly controlled India. Its European borders have receded; the Barbarian invasions of the latter years of the Empire we know happened, but the Romans had a strong leader and managed to drive them off, for the most part. It has taken over almost all of Africa, Brazil, everything in the US east of the Mississippi, a tiny bit of Canada, and the Phillipines. I'm working on a map right now.

The idea seems really swell, its just really unrealistic that the amount of differences in that 'UCNAR' is filled with they would bond together. It would be a shaky alliance at best. The Romans, as you have put them, really really weak. But I want to see the map to make my final judgement.
