Bravo! Love her. I see her and Amaline becoming unsure, shy friends at first. Perhaps, anyway.

I shall promptly add her to the OP

On another note, I've got to go to work. I'll probably not be on again tonight, but I will probably check up on the OOC later.

On the bright side, I've got tomorrow off!

I'm all good with Grammar Nazis. Yea I've only ever done one other advanged roleplay. I think I'm mostly fine in the department of the actual posts but it's CS's that I get stuck on. I prefere developing my character while I play them.

GENERATION 14: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

That's fine, as I am often the same way. Glad to know you won't get annoyed with me picking over your posts for corrections, as it will happen. The History in the CS is optional, so you aren't required to fill it out. Personality I'll allow you to develop through roleplay. But until you edit your post and tell me it's finished, I won't add her to the OP yet.

Okay, so before I go putting up an IC, I'm going to wait for two more CS's. Three isn't enough characters to work with in this type of roleplay.

    Name: Harry Palmer

    Age: 17

    District: 4

    Specialty:
Much like the rest of District 4 Harry has an extremely wide interest and knowledge on everything sealife. Harry is the districts best swimmer and can spot seaweeds and creatures from a mile off. Also his main subject in training was obviously based around the sea and its dangers and perks.
Harry is also known to be stereotyped as the dumb, blonde surfer dude with abs and he uses this to his advantage. Due to his fine looks and weak personality Harry can be deceived as a push over but people don't know the half of it. Harry is manipulative, quick witted and strategic inside and this is his advantage.

    Description:
    Personality:
Harry grew up to know much about sea life and what it holds. On the outside he is the childish easygoing boy that every girl dreams of but inside he holds a plan, an ambition, a wish. Harry is so much more than the surfer boy that was destined to volunteer a hero and face death or life. He will do anything not to die and show viewers especially back home that looks are not everything at that you should never judge a book by its cover. The shock from this sudden realisation back home is a worrying subject for Harry and one that could lead to love or rejection. Harry has told nobody of this hidden persona, plan and ambition but wished to discuss this matter with his mentor. Due to this Harry is really infact a confused character that isn't one to be stereotyped as the cocky career that knows a thing or two about fish!

    History:
Harry was born into District 4 by his parents Christopher and Samantha Palmer and pressured from the age he could walk to be the ultimate career. As well as hours of training involving strength, endurance and fitness Harry also worked by the docks with his Father. He continued living a pressured, hard life knowing one day he would ultimately face the blood thirsty crowds of the Capitol and districts. After relentless training Harry finally volunteered as tribute to this years Hunger Games without second doubts. His mother, father sister, who is 11 and wasn't effected by this years reaping, were not shocked by this outcome and stand by Harry in his quest for fame. Harry was generally happy with his decision to be tribute and had very well planned to finally volunteer. He his known across his district as the one to beat and shouldnt be underestimated. However he is worried about the other careers in richer districts but has strong hopes he can form an alliance for as long as he can.

I like him. He seems like some real competition I'll add him to the OP when I get a chance.

Alright then. Seems slow going these past few days (Or maybe it's just me because I have nothing to do and live off this stuff.)

Regardless, we need to get the ball on the roll. First off, are their any questions?

Second off, as for the time and setting- The Tributes have already arrived at the Capitol, and already gone through opening ceremonies. It is the first day of training. In your post, you can cover whatever grounds you want -all the way from The Reaping to the present, just make sure that if you include any NPC's like your mentors, escort or even stylists, that you confirm them with the other roleplayer whose characters are in your district. Just so you're both on the same page.

Third off, I'm going to start the intro to the IC, but I wasn't going to post it until we got some more characters. Seeing as we need to keep the action going, I'll probably end up posting it today or tomorrow.

Ooh, wait for me! I've got a feeling that this could be.. interesting, to say the least. After all, there can only be one winner - I'm very interested to see how this will turn out. So, sign me up! I've always been interested in playing some sorts of younger character.. Note that this is a rough - while the specifics will stay the same, I'll probably pretty it up some other time. I just wanted to get it posted.

    Name: Rory Turner
    Age: 12
    District: 3

Specialty: Rory's biggest advantage is other's misconception of him. Being such a slight figure, and having such a young, innocent face with eyes which seem to be permanently staring into the distance, at something just out of reach, the majority of the people who ever encounter him take him to be nothing but an absent-minded young boy. This couldn't be further from the truth - behind wide eyes lies a vast intelligence, and a sharp, even acerbic wit which hasn't netted him many friends. He is a schemer, a planner, as well as being fairly manipulative, and though he is a far cry from being physically gifted, he has a fair amount of knowledge about gadgets and the like due to the long days spent watching his father working. While he may not be able to compete with the other tributes physically, his intelligence will give him an edge as long as it doesn't become a close-quarters situation.

Appearance: Just breaking 5', Rory isn't an especially formidable figure, and though he has shed the puppy-fat of early childhood, he would be classified as slim - not considered muscular in any sense of the word, but he's hardly just skin and bones. His skin is a pale white, and his tousled dark hair frames wide eyes the colour of an untouched lake, which always seem dreamy, as if he's seeing something different from everyone else. He has a thin face, cheekbones clearly evident, with full cherubic lips and a slim nose. Overall, he no longer possesses the chubby characteristics of a child, but still seems to retain that sense of innocence that accompanies it.

Personality: Rory is an invisible in his home district. Being in a district where there are so many factories, so many things that could conveniently end the life of an irritating child, the intelligent stay quiet. And above all else, Rory is certainly smart. So since he was old enough to think for himself, he has acted demure, shy. Only speak when spoken to. Listen to the Peacekeepers. Don't take the initiative - do your work, nothing more, nothing less. Rory, despite some difficulty, has followed these mantras effectively, and the result has been a successful. He can count the number of people who know his name on his fingers - or at least he could, before the reaping. Not even his teacher knew his name, for he made sure to achieve nothing but the median in school. And so to all in his district, he was nothing more than a quiet, meek child, not destined to anything but the average life.

But underneath this humble persona, his true personality seethed at the humiliation he had to endure.

Not many would consider being treated as plain an embarrassment, but Rory is a proud boy. Mediocrity is a burden to him, a heavy load he has to bear every day of his life. He has ambition, wishes to be a great inventor when he is older - and he certainly has the intelligence and determination to succeed. When he sets himself a task, whether it be to cloak himself in adequacy or to understand the workings of a watch, he will follow his path with a sheer force of will until it is carried out - though he is patient. If the most direct course to a goal could prove detrimental to him, he will think up alternatives which lead to better outcomes, or even wait until a desirable outcome arrives. He is a good reader of people, and as such can manipulate people quite easily if the need arises. It's important to note that he's not a bad person - he won't simply trick someone for the thrill of it - it's more that when he has a goal in his mind, he will stop at nothing to get it.

He knows that the Games are always rooting for a few individuals from the tributes - and those who are popular get more sponsors. He knows he has to create a likable, yet determined persona for the Games, and so has decided upon a whole little-boy-lost image. He was sure to show that he was no simpleton, but is relying on the fact that sympathy due to his age will give him an advantage, will hopefully unbalance other competitors and get the Capitol on his side.

Because Rory will do anything for an advantage. He plans to be the last one standing, no matter the cost.

History: Being born in District Three was a thing of fortune for Rory. Being one of the more important districts, and having a father holding a fairly high position in a company that manufactured clocks and watches for the Capitol meant that while he wasn't pampered, Rory was rarely left wanting for anything. There was always food on the table of his standard accommodations, and he never felt the gnawing hunger that was so prevalent in other districts, as well as parts of his own. As a young child, his father drilled into him the importance of remaining discrete - being a person of interest for the Capitol was never a good thing.

Although the words didn't make much sense to him as an infant, the message gradually sunk in, and by the time he was five, Rory knew what he had to do. On his first day of school, when his sharp intellect was already budding, he quickly picked out the most mundane of his classmates and sat next to him, smiled, and didn't say a word. He has sat next to this same child every day, and has worked at the same pace as him, made the same amount of mistakes, and made sure never to go over or under the standards of this boy. As such, he has never stood out in school, never contributed to classroom discussion, and is barely even noticed by his teachers. Though he finds the work undergone in the classroom simple to the point of dull, and easily grasps the most difficult of the concepts thrown at him, he suffers through it willingly.

For at home, he truly learns. When his father arrives home from work, he spends hours every night teaching Rory - whether it's by explaining more advanced concepts of physics and explaining the inner mechanisms of a watch, or simply letting him watch as he tinkered with old remains pilfered from work, Rory always watches, wide-eyed, learning. As such, by the time he was twelve, he had an advanced, albeit narrow-scoped understanding of the world.

When his names was pulled from the Reaping ball, the first thing Rory felt was annoyance - so many people were staring at him as he walked forward, whispering among themselves. He had never received as much attention as he was now in the entirety of his life, and this fact annoyed him. But as he reached the stage, and the cameras turned on him, he realised he had a role to play. He adopted his wide eyed, confused expression that could so easily sway opinions, and has maintained this facade since he was whipped off to the Capitol shortly after.

    Name: Henjak Hardloper

    Age: 14

    District: 6

Specialty: Running. Whether it's running steadily for miles on end, or sprinting away at top speed, Henjak has the legs to do it. He is very fit and can run for a long time at a quick pace. His reflexes are razor sharp and he can go from sleeping to up and halfway across the clearing before you can say "the careers are coming". Despite his impressive turn of speed, he has little experience with hand-to-hand fighting, and almost no experience when it comes to using ranged weapons.

Description: Henjak is tall, with pale skin and long limbs. He has blond hair cropped short, and blue eyes. He is skinny and not heavily built. He has lost his left eye, and wears a black eye-patch over the socket.

Personality: Henjak rarily speaks and does not like to draw attention to himself. He is antisocial and preferes solitude to company. He places a lot of faith in showing a cold face - that is, revealing as little emotion as possible. No matter what happens, Henjak remains calm and does not panic. He is slow to anger, but struggles to find happiness or have fun.

History: Henjak was born to a very poor family in District 6. He was the youngest of 5 siblings (3 boys, 2 girls) and he often went hungry. At the age of 8, Henjak left home and never returned.

He spent the remainder of his time drifting around the streets of District 6. He stopped going to school and lived off pickpocketing and thievery. He would sleep wherever he could; a favourite spot was house rooftops, when it wasn't raining. He has had many close calls with peacekeepers in his lifetime; one such event led to the loss of an eye. It was these events that developed his talent for running.

Henjak wasn't overly surprised when he was reaped. He had long suspected that his parents had entered his name numerous times in order to get tesserae. But even he couldn't help but feel a jolt running down his spine when his name was called out. He almost followed his instincts to run, but he stopped himself. There was no point in running, he would be caught eventually. Plus, the cameras were on him.
