AOTM & WOTM Collab: Guidelines

I don't want to confuse anyone with more questions, but I have one more:

will the art pieces be in the polls or in hiders? It would be more fair if they where in hiders with the writing piece (if it has one) so that when people come into the thread they're not just voting on the art that they see right away and not looking at the writing.

Probably hiders, I'll go ask to confirm it.

OK, so, not to complicate this any further, but can we get some clarity on the final product? Here's what I think is going to happen, based on what I've read so far:

Contestants A, B, C, and D are all competing. A and B are teamed up (let's say it's a GIF with poetry included); C is only doing WOTM, D is only doing AOTM.

Voting threads go up as usual (WOTM-C, WOTM-A, AOTM-C, AOTM-A). For simplicity's sake let's say everybody's doing casual.

In the WOTM thread, there will appear (1) Contestant C's solo entry, and (2) Contestants A and B's combined GIF.

In the AOTM thread, there will appear (1) Contestant D's solo entry, and (2) contestans A and B's combined GIF.


Voting is, as always, up to the individual voters; however the intended emphasis in the WOTM thread is on the writing, and the emphasis in the AOTM thread is on the art.


Hypothetically if A+B's GIF wins the Art contest, but not the writing contest, both A and B are treated as "winners."

Does that about sum it up?

I'd really like to not see any single entries, to be honest. Should there be single entries, however, then Artist and Writer will be considered "winners" independently with an accreditation to whoever did the other thing.

The example given would be something like: "Congratz Yadda for your AOTM Win."

~Blahblah wrote the poem! Give them your love too.


Similar to how words are used in a lot of AOTM entries, now. (Excerpts from books, quotes from characters, etc.)

I'm an artist, but also a writer (preferably artist for this)

I'd prefer to enter into the advanced category because that's what my art competed in before, so I suppose it's where I should be.

If anyone's looking for a partner pm me and we can discuss. I can put a lot of time into an illustration, but I do graphic design and whatnot to so you've got a lot of possibilities to discuss.
