fen - you kinda hit the jackpot with spiking interest not enough well thought through fantasy roleplay going on. Always had my heart on doing dragon riders of pern, or a proper space opera but too much painting to do so very liittle time to fully construct a storyy D: its going good atm though enjoying the variations in characters greatly

yeah loved the dragon rider series, yet to touch on her other stuff, currently besotted with Neal Ashers polity novels. i think out of the pern books my fave moments were the hatchings, first flight, and the queens mating flight. spectacularly written throughout

Mine is the flight of dragons. ANother writer of high fantasy is Roger Zelanzy, Amberite stuff is awesome.

i havent come across him i will have to have a look when i finish this series. I have to keep on top of fantasy and sci fi if i am ever going to be comissioned for coverwork or illustration. And yeah the dragon flights are fantastic i love the uncontrollable bond between dragon and rider <3 it would be good to see a good pern rp up one day

Well, I will join that as a commoner of the holds who works for a rider.

Anyway the Amberite stuff is awesome. The first book is the Nine Princes of Amber and is about one of them through his point of view.

will have to look i would love to play a rider, but various flaws could present as who gets the queen dragon and who are wheyr leaders etc would take a long time to create then build a plot hmm then making sure large balance between colours of dragons so some people green, blue, brown then bronze and one gold. Might avoid wildcards like albinos but would be personal choice. If not a rider i would say you would be able to impress fire lizards and the individual plays both the rider and dragon.
would also have to have senior riders to find the people for impression, so wheyr leader and wheyr woman etc would be large scale rp
